If your looking for a 50's style diner in the Dufferin County area then Angel's Diner is a great option. I found the wait staff to be very courteous and the atmosphere is truly nostalgic. BEWARE if you order the poached eggs. I've had it several times at this place and they are never fully cooked. Today I asked them to poach it medium to hard to make sure they were cooked. They were served hard alright... they were inedible. Hard and rubbery like fake plastic kids make believe food. I finally figured out that the cooks microwave the eggs which is why they always turn out so badly. I didn't return them because they were extremely busy and if they're taking such a short cut to prepare poached eggs they probably wouldn't take the time to poach them properly. The rest of the food was good and the service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and refills on the coffee were constant. My sister and her husband introduced me to Angel's Diner. Now my girlfriend and I go there every time we pass through Orangeville. The menu is very broad, it has all day breakfast. The burgers are awesome. The fish and chips is amazing. The milkshakes are effing mindblowing. The service is quick most of the time (a bit slower when they are packed) and the prices are fair when you consider you get such large portions. read more

Breakfast is terrible. They give you shard time if you want to substitute. The 'home' potatoes for breakfast are gross. They must be frozen then deep fried. They are so gross and the coffee is terrible. read more

Having never been to angel's Diner we decided to try it out one Saturday in June, Worst restaurant meal we've ever eaten,food was bland and tasteless,the chicken and pork were cooked to a cardboard dryness,and to add insult to injury the salad actually had lettuce that was going black from age. We wrote letters of complaint to Angel's and 2 weeks later have received no response..they don't even care enough to say your email was acknowledged. You know that a restaurant doesn't care at all when the salad is going rancid...I'm sure they have served many happy customers but our experience say's you are taking a big chance on their food. our advice...don't go !! read more

We've stopped in a few times on the way to Toronto or back and had mixed experiences from quite good to pretty bad. Can't remember the past details, but we stopped for breaky yesterday (Sunday). I had the #4 - french toast, 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, and home fries. The home fries are pretty awful and the plate is full of them. The eggs were okay, properly cooked as I like them but really small. I saved one to take out to our girl (dog) who was waiting in the car - Yes the windows were all half open and the car was in the shade. :-) Okay so she also got most of my bacon as well. The service was not good - I almost always tip and did not tip this time. After requesting sweetener and creamers, we waited and waited and waited and finally had to ask again (while the coffee got cold.) My friend's poached eggs arrived almost raw. They were sent back and the waitress grabbed MY toast along with them! When I told her she brought me whole wheat toast (not what I ordered or wanted). The replacement poached eggs - well, maybe they microwaved them? They were so well done it was not even funny (literally hard boiled) and did I mention that the dog had a wonderful lunch? I have to tell you about the english muffin the poached eggs were sitting on! My friend likes her bread well toasted. She was almost gagging on this. I tried a mouthful and have to say I have never had a more soggier, wetter, more disgusting mouthful of untoasted english muffin in my life. For $12.95 they shoud be able to get this right! Eggs florentine indeed. UGLY. The coffee by the way was excellent - Best cup of java I've enjoyed in some time, even if I did have to wait a rather long time for a refill. Speaking of service, I remember on our last visit about a month ago, we got a different server and he was great - Fast, efficient and friendly, so they aren't all the same, we just lucked out this time. I also remember ordering the steak some time ago - and would never give them a chance on that item again... Actually, I likely wouldn't order anything other than breakfast here, as we've had a few substandard regular meals. Actually after this, we probably will not be going back again. My big regret is that we didn't raise total hell and send it all back to the kitchen, but we were in a hurry to get to Toronto. read more

We stayed at the Best Western, June 18th and 19th, 2016. When we asked at the desk for a good family restaurant, they recommended Boston Pizza (have eaten there not a fan). I had saw a sign for Angel's and was told it was a greasy spoon restaurant. Drove by, looked good, took a chance and was very, very, impressed. The restaurant was spotless, the waitress cheerful and attentive, the food was served quickly, hot and exactly what we ordered and DELICIOUS!!!!! Absolutely the best ribs ever!! This restaurant is NOT a greasy spoon, but the best family restaurant around and I will be back the next time I am in Orangeville. read more

When Angel's first opened, their hamburgers were fresh and HUGE and well seasoned and well cooked. I can no longer say that it the case. I have quit going because they are usually dried out, much smaller than they used to be, and overcooked. Too bad because I used to enjoy going here for lunch quite often.
