My husband surprised me with private salsa lessons, as a way for us to formally learn the dance together, and so that we could surprise our friends and family with a memorable, sexy first dance at our wedding! I had taken beginner salsa lessons in SF so I was familiar with the steps, but he was new to it, and Angie took us from beginner to intermediate level dancers in just 2 months (albeit with almost twice weekly lessons)! Most important, she kept reminding us that it took a while to feel the rhythm, and that it was essential for me to let my husband lead, and for me to just enjoy the dance and follow.
