Pulling into thr parking lot and seeing it full made me feel like I was on to something good! You walk in to a small shelf with these gargantuan cinnamon rolls on display that I'm sure double as a pillow for when you eat the first one. Pro tip, Buy TWO!!! We were greeted and seated promptly and our drinks came out quickly. Our server was by soon after to take our orders. She did an excellent job and had a warm personality I hope to see so far up north! Being from a more southern state I found it interesting to see a "taco omelette" on the menu and almost didn't order it but I had to try! It was a fun change of pace and hit the spot. It's not gonna be go to item for me but it's always cool to try new things . It was delicious and chocked full of ground beef!! I enjoyed it with a dab of sour cream. Wifey enjoyed her eggs Benny and the kiddo had a pretty epic looking waffle. For two bucks you get all the cool whipped cream and strawberry compote!! Overall an excellent experience and it's easy to see the locals love it!!

I got the 1/2 sandwich (BLT) and a cup of chili. When it arrived it came with half a grilled cheese sandwich instead. But I ended up giving it to my daughter because she ordered the adult portion grilled cheese, but I think our server misunderstood and ordered her a kids grilled cheese which came with only one half rather than two halves. The BLT was delicious and fresh tasting. I'm a fan of chili, I like it with and without beans. So if you don't care for beans, then this chili isn't for you. It wasn't spicy, but it was filled with meat and beans. It was pretty good! Overall, this is a decent place. Price is good. Portion is good for the cost.

Cute place, nice staff, good food…read more Seated quickly and got our drinks quickly. Waitress was sweet and friendly but didn't offer refills. I wanted something different, so got the cabbage rolls with vegetable and mashed potatoes. Not sure waitress knew the actual options for that because she asked if I wanted brown gravy on my mashed potatoes or the tomato sauce served on the cabbage rolls. I had opted for brown but got the red. The mashed potatoes were real potatoes, not fake, and were delicious. The cabbage rolls were a generous portion, but I thought the meat was a bit underseasoned, especially when compared to the mashed potatoes. The veg were plain unseasoned carrots- they weren't even hot and they stayed on the plate. Husband got the special, which was a "pork ribeye" with eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes. The waitress asked how he wanted the meat cooked which I think confused herself, my husband, and the cook because I overheard her laughing stating that she "didn't know, she doesn't eat that type of meat." lol anyway, it was presented fully cooked and was very very good. It was well seasoned and had probably been brined. It was tender and good. The eggs were cooked correctly and the pancakes were yummy. Hashbrowns were standard shreds, probably from a bag. Two big meals and two waters $31 before tip.

I enjoy their knoephla soup, but I do not enjoy getting ripped off and served a bowl of broth. I stopped buying their buckets of soup because every time it was filled with broth with maybe only a handful of actual dumplings. Well, this time my husband picked me up a bowl of soup. I dumped it in a big bowl at home to warm it up and no joke 3 small dumplings at the bottom that was it, pretty disappointing when you pay for something and you feel like they got one over on you and was sold a bowl of broth. Krolls Famous Nnoephla soup = a bowl of broth buyer Be aware!

We each had the salad (crisp and fresh). Our meal came just as we finished our salad. The prime rib was generously portioned...one with baked potato and one mashed potato choice. Each meal had Texas toast. Very filling and all good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Did I mention that the Cajun Prime Rib special was only $14.95? Deal! This diner is connected with a truck stop, small convenience store and a motel. I noticed they sold fishing tackle and bait because this is Minnesota after all. It was clean and the decor was diner-ish cute. On the way to the rest room, I noticed a cooler of pies and cinnamon rolls. Rumor has it that they serve the best breakfasts in the area. May need to give it a try!
