This is the workingman's diner. That being said, it is a pleasant place to eat with good solid food. They have a nice assortment of pies that are made in house. The hostess will seat you in a waitress will take your order. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was tasty. It is at the end of a strip mall, and the signage is small to find it. Driving through what Felt like the middle of nowhere we came across Deaner's Diner. I ordered a hash, and it was absolutely phenomenal. You could tell the place was trying to do an ode to the 50s and 60s. I think it went a tad overboard, but too each their own. We (party of 4). Went to the Diner on a Saturday morning for a late breakfast. This place definitely gives you a taste of what small town North Dakota is all about located in the biggest city in the state!! The folks working there were all very friendly and accommodating. I'll only complain that the sausage gravy over biscuits with eggs seems to lack any sausage. I departed very full of good stuff. I've been going to Deaner's for years, however over the course of the last few months the quality has gone severely downhill. The last several times my husband and I have gone in the toast has been stale, the eggs overcooked, the bacon charred, and the hash browns nearly inedible. read more

Food is pretty good. Big issue here is the price (seems quite expensive for the quantity you get). But hard to get good breakfast food in ND really, and this is still one of the better options. Probably one small step up from Darcy's, which I consider one of the better places. read more

The food was great, the service fast, the cup bottomless, the decor fun and cheerful, the bathroom super clean and the owner, Della is an absolute sweetheart! (See pic of her and me.) Do not be put off by the unassuming entrance. It is palatial and bright inside with fun 50s memorabilia everywhere. Not cliche or franchisey. Stopped in for breakfast after reading the google reviews. The dinner is absolutely local and amazing. Finding it was a little bit of a chore and it's on the west side of Fargo. It's down a little alley in a industrial building and the signage is a little hard to see unless you are looking for it. The staff is great. Friendly and quick. The food. I had breakfast, biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. It was awesome. The gravy had a little bit of a spice, spicy sausage maybe, but it was great. The pancakes at the table look amazing.
