A horrible experience for our dog. She went in fine, but when she came out, she started shaking her head from side to side and had wounds on both eyes. Over time, it got worse. My daughter spoke with Lupe, but she didn't acknowledge what happened. This grooming session has cost us a lot of money; she had to be put on antibiotic treatment. Recently I took my Havanese to Angie's for a bath, cleaning and nails. His hair had grown out a lot since I was there 2 months ago. He is an older male (15 years) and deserves individual attention. When I picked him up he was simply beautiful!! His ears were trimmed very nicely and bangs and mustache were perfect. Thank you Angie for such a wonderful job. Terrible. Today was my last straw. Never have been thrilled to begin with as the haircuts have always been nothing better than average. But today when I picked my baby up I barely recognized her. They hacked her. On top of that they are by far the most expensive groomer we have ever been to. Will never go back. I have been taking my 2 huskies here consistently every 2-4 months for grooming for the last 3 years or so. I have never had had an issue with the groomers or the way they took care of my huskies. They always came out very clean and polished. The last time they went however, i noticed my male husky was acting off the days following his grooming appt. He wasn't responsive to his name, he seemed to not want to do anything. He is an older dog with arthritis, so I thought maybe he was in pain and we needed to revisit meds. Much to my surprise about 6 days after his grooming, I happen to look him over and specifically checked his ears to try and figure out why the sudden attitude change. He had cotton balls stuffed in his ears from the grooming appt. He is a wooly coat husky with very hairy white ears, so the cotton balls were not noticeable at all, even with his ears sticking straight up in the air. Now i know they do this to keep the water out of the ears but they never took them out. When I removed them, his ears smelled like infection, they were red and they were raw. I called the business the next day and left a voicemail asking for a call back. I know things happen, but my poor boy was probably in so much discomfort. I never heard back from them and I would have appreciated a simple apology. I feel very uneasy about writing a bad review, but i gave them an opportunity to apologize as I really didn't want to have to go on Yelp to leave a review. I have been a good customer and have referred many people to this business. Very unfortunate that I will need to find a new groomer. It is not okay that they chose to ignore the issue. I snapped this pic because he looked so sad and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I looked in his ears the next day and that when I found the cotton balls. He was obviously not feeling well. Maybe I'm just used to one person grooming salons we have in the midwest. But I was definitely not happy when I picked up my puppy today. I specifically asked who I guess was THE OWNER that he keep his entire beard, and since she took him I mistakenly sssumed she was the one grooming him. I was wrong. I didn't realize there are a number of groomers you dont even see or meet there that handle your dog. He was being groomed by a man who didn't look especially happy. I observed a little of his demeanor and he didn't even speak to the puppy. He just looked bored grooming my pup. Not a great experience for a 11 month old puppy. Given the heat and sun here, you'd assume they'd also leave a just little hair on him, but he did not get a good personalized haircut AT ALL. He got a shave like a rat with no beard. When I called to complain, the person on the phone tried to over talk me, said they TOLD me he was using a number 7 blade, what? No they did not I dont even know what that means. All the dogs that came out of that salon in front of me looked exactly the same, shaved down to the pink. No cuteness, nothing personalized for that dog. It's a factory type place. Get them in, shave em down. She said several times "itll grow back". Never ever ever again. Since posting this review the owner of this business responded. She was not being truthful. Be careful, read the bad reviews and the long mean responses from the business on each of them. No apology no offers to make it right, just a lot of defensive and abusive talk. This is the Worst Place ever. I have taken my cat there for 4 years but never ever had this experience in the past. My cat is very old and is having a hard time cleaning himself so he had a few bad knots he needed cut out. So I took him 2 weeks ago to get Groomed. I was quoted $80 as usual because i didn't want him shaved just groomed. But Lupe traumatized my 24 year old cat so bad that he wont even let me hold him anymore. He hides in his little cat house and only comes out if no one's around. He cries all night long now. She butchered his fur and yanked his skin so bad that he bites me now if I try to touch him. She charged me $40 extra on top of the $80 charge I was told. She said it was because my cat was a probelm Cat. That's so untrue. He's the most gentle creature. When I was finally able to get ahold of Angie a whole week later she basically called me aliar. Said Lupe did not hurt him...but then again she said he was so knotted that of course he is going to be tramatized and what did I expect. She hung up on me. That's deplorable. Please do not take your Precious Furbaby there. You don't know what goes on behind closed doors when we leave our Babies there. You will be very sorry. read more

No rating, don't take your animals here. They suck bad. Took my cat for bath and they called me in an hour that he was ready, that they just wiped him down with whipies because he was scared. Obviously he is going to be scared and you are an animal salon and should know how to deal with a scared cat, plus he is not violent. They didn't even try to bathe him. I was scheduled at 2pm and was told it would be about 3 hours for him to be ready so I left, I live far. She calls me at 3pm the cat is ready and that I "better" be there before 4:30 because they close at 3pm and they were still there like wtf. I was like shower him it's okay if he doesnt like it im letting you shower him and she laughs and says shes gonna try. Obviously upon picking up my cat she didnt shower him. Sucky and rude service. I recently took my two shih tzu's to get groomed at Angie's Dog-Gone pretty and I was so upset that I wasn't informed that the lady who groomed my dogs had accidentally cut both of them. I would've understood because accidents happen and I know my dogs probably were moving a lot. But even so none of this was shared to me by the groomer nor the receptionist there when I went to go pick up my dogs. I noticed something was wrong until we got home and they were both not being themselves. They seemed very down I couldn't seem to cheer them up that evening at all. The following day I decided to cuddle with my dog Chiquis, when I picked her up I felt something in her armpit and that's when I noticed she had a cut in her right underarm that was beginning to scab it already even had some puss that had hardened? So after I decided to check my other dog too and I noticed she was bleeding from her private.. I thought maybe she was about to be in heat? Days went by the bleeding never came. I'm assuming the groomer cut the tip of her private it's just really red at the tip and irritated. I've been calling the grooming shop to make my complaint and even left a voicemail. I never got an answer at all. I'm very disappointed that this happened to my dogs. I can only imagine how traumatizing and painful it must have been for them. If I could give no stars to this joint I would. What's worst is that I never got the name of the lady who was grooming my dogs, all I remember is it's an older American women, tall, thin, grey short hair with glasses. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! The last time I took Beau there they said he has a hair snag and if it happened again I would have to pay extra or they would cut it out. I didn't understand why they would say that as I brush him every night and in 7 plus years his other groomer never said that. I was in a hurry so just scooped him up and left. When I brushed him later I saw they cut a huge area on his left side! . There couldn't possibly be a snag that big, if at all!!! Since then I have been told by several friends how awful they are! The head shape wasn't rounded, the length on one side was longer and asymmetrical from the other side, her mouth hadn't been trimmed, the ears were not symmetrical, it was simply a case of the groomer having no skill and experience at grooming a Westie. Ya know, if a groomer doesn't know how to do a specific cut, do the customer a favor and say so. Don't guess at it and hope the owner doesn't notice. I have been going to this grooming service to bring my 3 dogs for about 1 1/2 years. I got a new German Shepherd and called ahead if time to find out the charge. I was quoted $60.00. When my friend picked them up, the charge for 2 Maltese and 1 German Shepherd came to $186.00 I was under the impression that each Maltese was 55.00 and the Shepherd was 60.00, so I called to find out why I was charged more. You can just imagine my shock when I heard that because of COVID. What does Covid have to do with it??? Then I was told the prices went up and that there are small German Shepherds and large ones, so arbitrarily I was charged more without my consent. Unfortunately, this has not been the first time this happens to me, but it certainly will be the last. I absolutely hate when a business helps themselves to my credit card without my authorization. The gentleman & lady (who I believe is the owner) was with another customer. I didn't even get a hi, we will be with you momentarily or any sort of eye contact. I AM VERY BIG on acknowledging your customer right away. After say about 5 minutes I speak with her and tell her I'm here for so and so appt. She seemed annoyed, but I was like whatever I'm not a business owner and can imagine how stressful it can be and maybe she's not having a great day - we're all humans. So, when I called the girl said yes the max amount of hours for bath & tidy would be 3 hours. Perfect. Well, 3 hours later I still have not received a call back. I begin to worry, I give it another 45 minutes before I call. I call, no answer. Gave it 5 minutes, again no answer. I try not freaking out, give ir another 30, AGAIN no answer. To this point I'm ABSOLUTELY not okay. I, for who knows what reason give them another 15 and no answer. By the 5 hour I am on my way there. I tell the man I am here for my dog so and so he had to check with the groomers to see if she was ready, she was pretty scared and ready to leave the building as soon as she saw me. My dog is pretty sociable and can do fine in most and any environment. When we arrive home I get a phone call from the groomers, I was like what in the world would they be calling me for if I already picked up my dog. They call to tell me my dog is ready to be picked up AND they give me a name of another dog. I rudely say I already picked up my dog and her name is so and so. This whole experience was beyond unacceptable and I wish I would have just walked out the minute I walked in. I typically do not leave reviews, especially bad rating ones, but this was personal and beyond unacceptable for a groomer to have my dog for 5 hours and not receive an apology.
