For food, I had shrimp and grits and it was pretty good. My wife, chicken cacciatore and the chicken tasted leftover and one piece had a bone. The pasta was lukewarm and tasted reheated. When we told them, they said they would take off that dish, but no apologies. Instead they asked if we wanted dessert because of the entree issue. Assuming they were being nice, we said yes only to find out they charged us for the dessert. You can't make this stuff up. Attention to detail: While the setting is nice, there is a clear lack of attention to detail everywhere you look. Not telling us happy anniversary, not noticing I barely touched my cappuccino, no hand towels in the women's restroom to dry hands, no one at the hotel front desk or the restaurant front desk, doors to the beautiful patio locked so we had to walk around the building outside to get to this space (which is not a welcoming approach), and the manager brought out our dessert and never apologized. And as mentioned previously, the staff is adequate for an average chain, but not for a boutique hotel and restaurant. Overall, very disappointing, and no surprise it was empty.
