I was looking forward to enjoying the chicken bisque and croutons from the Gables (one of our favorite restaurants; closed unfortunately). Croutons were good, but the soup was disappointing. Other food (Dee Andros Club, french dip, Phillie Steak slider) was just okay, although plentiful. We were there for the Tuesday trivia night. That was fun, although it took a loooooong time. just found this place. It is a real find. Ok it's a sports bar, but I don't grade it down for that. The noise level is acceptable, the food is very good , the service attentive and the price is totally unexpected and affordable. We've done dinner here on Wednesday and the menu items for our party was great, no complaints. On Wednesdays there's a special, which I had. That night was spaghetti and meatballs, green salad and great garlic bread for $7.00!! We came for brunch on Sunday and had a variety of items for our party of 7 and they were delicious. We had coffee, 3 10 oz orange juices and three tonic waters and 6 entrees ( two of our party split the steak and eggs) and it was wonderful and again an unexpected low price. Try it, you'll love it I promise. And oh yeah, it used to be a church, so that may explain why the noise level is acceptable for conversation. A friendly fun place. read more

Great for a party! Emailed ahead of time and brought in a group of 35 folks. They had tables set up and everything. Our waitress was amazing and attended to everyone! Wings were great and so where sandwiches. Kids played upstairs while adults hung out below. Thanks again! read more

The food here isn't worth ordering. It's close to my house and the drinks are okay. Servers are good, arcade is all right, and they've got games on regularly. I've been here a number of times and I'll stop at Cheesy Stuffed Burgers before I go there to watch a game or hang out up stairs and play air hockey. Terrible food. read more

Angry Beaver has great food in generous portions, local beer, and friendly service! Everything I have tried on the menu so far is awesome! The Kahlua Pork Taco is only $2 during Happy Hour and aside from being enough food to fill me up, it is absolutely delicious! The stuffed burgers are great and come with a wide variety of sides. Great atmosphere with an awesome upstairs area. You can look down and watch games while playing pinball or video games. All the TVs are set up via streams, so they can end up missynched or it can be hard to find a particular channel, but they have access to PAC-12, NFL, ESPN, CBS etc. 16 TVs, 5 Classic Arcade machines, 5 pinball machines. read more

Reading the other reviews, maybe this place is good for beers and late nite, but it's NOT great for breakfast. Not at all. Decided to try it when we saw the signs advertising a Breakfast Buffet. We walked in, the place was not crowded at all, but there were a few people seated and a LOT of employees standing around. One of the servers or hosts, I don't know which, asked how we were, and when we asked back he said he was tired because of an employee meeting that was 'too early'... O-kay then... sorry to hear that... moving on... We looked around, the breakfast buffet was in one corner, there were three pans on it, covered in tin foil. It didn't appear to be on, there was no steam coming from it. Oh, cool, so how long has the food been out at room temperature now? As we were talking about staying, leaving, or just getting coffee, someone came up with menus. I say someone because he was NOT a server, or at least not a good one. He waved the menus around, and said we could 'sit down anywhere'. I asked what was on the buffet since I hadn't decided yet if I wanted anything. He shrugged and said "Well, like, breakfast stuff... bacon, and sausage, and... oh, eggs benedict. I dunno, there's some other stuff too." I said something about looking at the menu and he told us we could 'Wait and talk to the owner, he's over there with those people" pointing across the room. Talk to the owner? To order? What? So we decided to leave and find a real place to eat where they had real employees and didn't treat their business like a hang out club. And we did. Definitely a Beaver sports bar: Orange and black clothing on many of the patrons, and ensconced behind glass on the walls too. Waaaay noisy (which isn't all bad in a sports bar, though it would have been more fun if we had all been watching the same (Beavers) game. As it was, it was mostly just kind of painful and far too loud to have a conversation... or even hear the excellent waitress telling me the special of the day: Friday is Prime Rib night (which I finally heard on the third try). We tried "typical" bar-food: A chicken/bacon/avocado/swiss "burger" and a Reuben. The chicken was nicely cooked, the flavor of the sandwich was fine, the cheese was too bland to notice except as gooeyness. And the bun was sweet "hawaiian" style. You may like that, but we found it odd at best. The Reuben was tasty, with apparently house-cooked corned beef, good mix of flavors, gooey cheese, grilled marble-rye and _plenty big_. But I didin't detect any of the advertised chipotle flavor. Fries were fine, but nothing special. Ditto the slaw, which seemed to be house-made. Our waitress was excellent: Helpful, friendly, prompt and attentive. The menu seemed a little more interesting than a sports bar typically has, but there was already one soup choice crossed off... They have only been open a short time, so I expect they're still settling out. Off to a good start, imo. read more

We were excited to try a new place in town. We went there on a slow Sunday night and there were only 3 tables with customers. The server pointed at a booth and told us we could sit there. She never gave us a Menu or asked us if we wanted anything to drink. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes watching the employees chat and laugh. Really want to like this place but every time I come in I received very poor customer service. More than once it has taken them 30+ minutes to take our order. The food is over priced and not that good. Waiters seem to be disorganized ( don't know the specials, forget if they took your order, forget what your order actually was say they will take it off your bill then dont etc). They are also very unprofessional- swearing in front of customers, closing us out before we are ready and saying it's because people are always annoying by splitting the check with a big party ( we were a party of 4), telling us that she would refer to us by a number to remember our bill.. those are all things you should keep to yourself if you ask me. Bottom line it's a good concept ( OSU themed, arcade etc) but it's loud, poor customer service and way over priced. read more

Ordered take out, delivered by GrubHub. Fries were good, my daughter loved them. Onion rings were amazing! Teriyaki burger and jalapeno burger were some of the best we've ever had! However... The mac and cheese, at $8.99 amounted to nothing more than a cup of pasta with a dried out, flavorless cheese sauce. Additionally, the Mahi-Mahi taco we ordered was not included in our order. Wow this place is awesome! We saw the menu online and decided to give it a try. It was our first time in(5 people)There was only a few people there when we arrived at 8pm ( due to the recent advisories about the coronavirus) The waitress was friendly and quick! It started to get busy and there was only 1 waitress and 1 cook, but they were able to keep up! The waitress stayed very attentive with many refills and beers! The food was SO GOOD! Everyone enjoyed their meals. 1 person at our table had to wait on the BLT ( maybe was forgotten due to the rush at the same time our order was placed) but it was well worth the wait! The atmosphere and the arcade games were super cool! Even my 10yr old had a great time ( no kids after 10pm). The burgers, tacos, wings, and fried ravioli were some of our favorites! Food and drinks are average price, but service is absolutely terrible. We came for trivia on March 12th and it took almost 40 minutes to take our order. Our waitress forgot drinks, never came back to check on us, was rude, and had no idea what she was doing. She also over-charged me and wouldn't fix the price even when I pressed the issue. I'm giving this a two star for the Beaver Memorabilia and the whole Sports Bar set up! Haven't seen anything like it. I thought maybe they had just opened because our breakfast and service was terrible. The country potatoes had huge chunks of peppers that were not very well cooked and when i asked if they cook them without, because I can't eat them, she said "they're already made up and that's the way they come." Apparently, they have a buffet which there was no signage and our server didn't inform us. She complained about her hard day yesterday as there were massive crowds due to a home game. She offered no condiments. The table next to us was charged for something she never brought to the table and she explained that the day before had wiped them out and she forgot, they are 86'd on everything.
