Awesome place to watch football!! They have the Ducks and Beaver games plus Sunday NFL Ticket to watch any NFL game and multiple TVs. Food was great and service excellent! Just moved our kid to OSU and looking forward to returning to this bar every time we come back to visit her! Also, the hours showing in Google Maps and Yelp are wrong and they are open for early morning football games (we got here Sunday at 10am).

Stopped by with the owner and grabbed a cocktail and a Buffalo chicken wrap.

The best little pub in Corvallis. Totally watched college football while ringing in the new year. The menu is quite large accommodating even the pickiest palette. There are 2 levels of fun in this restaurant, with some of the most iconic sports memorabilia in 360° view. The TVs are a nice size for the size of the venue and the amount of TVs that are mounted. The location is perfect. Definitely my go to for sports, food and alcohol while in Oregon.

There it is. U read it right.

Ugh. Growing pains. Like an infant fumbling to take its first steps, a fledgling bar has only 3 places to go: impaling itself on a toy light saber, taking a nap in its own drool, or sprouting wings and flying like an eagle (not a duck, this is Beaver country!). My first time here, but I love the name and the vibe is good, so they start out with 5 stars. Busy Saturday night. Took forever to get a drink (-1 star), lipstick marks on my glass (-0.5, but the bartender replaced my drink +0.5), wanted to order food but he never took my order (-1), and lastly, my drink went dry (-1). I mostly blame the management for my negative experience. The bar and waitstaff were busting their buns, but they seemed understaffed. My advice: if you're getting flanked, call in the cavalry (bring in staff on call, especially at peak times). A good establishment plans for such things. I hope I caught them on an off night.

Food was great and one of the best Beaver themed bars in town. Chicken bisque soup from the old Gables is as good as I remember.

Food was good and service was good. Hope this place makes it it's nice to have another sports bar in town other than BWW.

My name is Kent and I went to BW yesterday. I don't know Tawny very well but I know that I've been…read morein there several times and she's definitely the only bartender that I would wanna go in there and have serve me. She always makes sure that I have my second drink before my drink is almost gone. She always make sure that I have a great time, she also somehow gets me to add stuff or get stuff that I did not plan on getting what a great little sales one she is LOL ... She is always happy and has a bubbly personality witch is awesome. I never thought I was gonna go back again. I was just trying to find somewhere to eat while I was in Corvallis. I'm not even from Corvallis, but Somehow she told me see you tomorrow and somehow I just did. It was just something about her that made me wanna come back... that being said I was in there yesterday and she was busy. She was doing an amazing job, but there was a manager there. I don't know her name but she kind of had a high-pitched voice dark hair and she was just being god-awful to Tawny she handled it quite well though I mean the manager would say something kind of snooty to her and Tawny would just be like OKay I understand and she will go back to working her butt off with a smile on her face after being treated that way, and you could tell that the manager just didn't like her or something because she would just be rude to her the whole time and I heard Other people complaining about the manager while I was there cause I was there for a good two hours I was trying to do some work on my computer as I own my own business and I like to go there because Tawny always makes sure that everything is just how I need it to be. She always make sure I have a plug-in. She makes sure that other people are handled around me as well so that there's never anything wrong when I'm there and I love that. But after seeing the Manager treat her that way I don't know if I'd wanna go back and watch that happen again I think I would have to try to figure out what day that Manager is not there and go in that day to have Tawny as my server because I want to not have to hear that kind of stuff while I'm trying to eat my lunch and work, but I don't know who to say it too, so I am just giving my opinion on here. I hope this is heard by someone higher up, I don't know if I should call corporate or what, but I sure hope that this is addressed by someone...I'm leaving a 5 star. And i'm just leaving this part of it, because of what I witnessed, and I was hoping it would be a dress with the five star review is still well in place Thank you kent

So bad I refused to eat this "T-Bone". Ordered a 2nd one and was even worse. Whatever you do, don't order steaks.

Rainy Day, Great Bar Seat, and One Memorable Meal…read more It was a cold, rainy Oregon afternoon when I stumbled into Castor, and I'm glad I did. There happened to be one open seat at the bar, which is my favorite place to dine when traveling. Sitting at the bar lets you talk story with the bartender, learn the menu, and watch the cocktails come together. If you're eating alone, I highly recommend grabbing a seat here. The bartender was friendly, easy to talk with, and clearly knew both the menu and the craft behind the bar. One thing that stood out right away was their use of fresh local ingredients, which really shows up in the flavor of the dishes and drinks. I started with the Golden Manhattan, made with a pecan-infused bourbon that was fantastic. It had a rich, slightly nutty flavor with warm vanilla notes and just the right touch of sweetness. Smooth, balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. Alongside that I ordered the chorizo clam chowder, which brought a creamy base with just the right amount of spice from the chorizo. Comfort food with a little personality. For dinner I switched gears and ordered the Creole Sour. This one really stood out. Bright citrus up front, a smooth bourbon backbone, and a subtle spice note that tied perfectly into the Creole theme. It had that classic sour balance, tart, slightly sweet, and refreshing without overpowering the drink. Dinner was the gumbo with hot bread and butter, and it delivered. Deep flavor, a nice slow warmth from the spice, and hearty enough to make the rainy Oregon weather feel like part of the experience. To finish things off I kept it simple with a neat pour of Ben Holladay, which made for the perfect nightcap. The staff were welcoming and relaxed, which made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable. This is the kind of place that works whether you're dining solo, meeting friends, out with someone special, or grabbing dinner with a group. The price point landed right where it should be for the quality of food, cocktails, and service. If you're in Corvallis and can grab a seat at the bar at Castor, take it. Order a cocktail, settle in, and enjoy the ride. It turned a rainy afternoon into one heck of a meal.

My first visit here was yesterday afternoon. Drinks were great. Service was great. Almost…read moreeverything I had was great...except for the pork chop which was so dry, I could barely get it down. Dry dry dry. Not the slightest bit juicy. I would never order that again. $37 isn't cheap and I expect more out of a nice piece of pork than being cooked to death. Couldn't really tell it was bourbon and brown sugar marinated. No trace of either of those flavors. Left half of it on my plate and let my server know it was dry. The Summer Maque Choux, which was underneath the pork chop was so off-the-hook good I got just an order of that to take home! They do serve the Maque Choux as a "Snack" and I highly recommend you try it. The pickled tomatoes served on top of the pork were sweet, juicy, and slightly pickled. Yum! The Crispy Pork Belly with the housemade mustard was delicious - the mustard has a great kick to it. The Trout with crispy capers, green beans, and hazelnuts was very tasty. Would get that again, for sure. The sliders were good...I'm not sure $5/each good...but good. Crème Brûlée was excellent. And they make the best Piña Colada I've had in a long time. I'd give 3.5 stars if I could, because that pork chop was soooooooo disappointing, but 4 it is. Everything else was tasty. I'll come back, but not go anywhere near that pork chop.
