Decided to check this place out since it's super close to my school and I drive past there often. The menu is pretty simple and you can easily adjust the spice level of the chicken, which I appreciate. Their portions are HUGE and I feel like you get a really good value for the price and the chicken is fresh and amazing! This is our go-to lunch spot when we are in the area! My only complaint, and this is really minute, is that the parking and seating can be limited. This is located in a pretty busy little strip and sometimes people have to park along the curb. Also, there isn't a lot of seating on the inside. They have maybe 4 tables. I feel like they could fit more but then people are often standing in line waiting so idk... The first time I tried Angry Chickz, I ordered the Combo #1 with 2 sliders - medium spice. It was so good, loved it, though I thought I could handle a little bit more spice... next time. Went back there today for the 2nd time and this time I went for the hot. MAN! WTF?! The spice level jump between the two is SO drastic! Or, someone definitely had a heavy hand because it was NOT good! I took one bite, a big one at that and I immediately regretted my decision! Visited on a weeknight. Cashier was unfriendly. Was immediately told that there are no refunds on food. If this is something the owner makes them say each time or are they receiving complaints? Ordered medium and hot sandwiches and side of Mac and cheese. It was a very long wait and we received our food served with cold fries. The sandwiches were average. The chicken was not crispy and lacked spice or sauce. There is definitely an inconsistency. The sandwiches were not made with the medium and hot level heat we ordered. The taste was exactly the same on both sandwiches. They were barely seasoned and spice was very mild and were NOT SPICY at all. The Mac and cheese needs seasoning and more cheese. Went to their Grand opening today and got in before numeral 100th guest. I went early enough to secure 55th spot and received a ticket for swag . I had recently been to Brentwoods Grand opening but got there too late and the line was way too long to wait. Even after I went back a few hours after the the Opening, it was way too long. I had heard that this Clayton/ Concord location was opening and I was more eager to go. After the relatively short wait( 40) mins; I had ordered the Angry Mac, Number 4 combo with the Buttered rice and slaw and pickles; and the 2 piece over white bread. I didn't get a drink which was surprising since I thought came with a combo. Loaded up on their special sauce and was out the door. It was a long line when I left but not as long as I previously encountered at other location. People are friendly and the place is super clean and plenty seating inside. I wish Yelp did .5 stars cause I'm really giving this place a 3.5. I'm glad to have another restaurant open down the street from our house. This is a busy complex, but it doesn't mean that you won't find parking. It was opening day today so it was pretty busy, but they were prepared. The restaurant is very spacious and has a chill vibe. The worker who helped us was super friendly and gave her opinion on what to get. This place reminds me of Hot Boyz so I wanted to get a more spicy chicken sandwich thinking it would be like theirs. The girl said that their Hot is super spicy and that there are no refunds or exchanges if I found the chicken too spicy and honestly that didn't scare me, it actually enticed me haha My husband and I got the combo #1 which comes with 2 chicken sliders and fries for $16 and one angry mac for $13. The prices are decent considering how much you get. When you're done ordering you can grab their signature sauce which is like thousand island but better and ketchup and any other condiments you want. Our food took about 10 min which was pretty impressive considering how many people there were. We took our food home because it was packed so it was pretty loud in there. My thoughts on the food: I think it's decent, the chicken wasn't crispy (it only took a couple min to get home from the restaurant so it shouldn't have gotten soggy that quick) and to my disappointment, it wasn't spicy at all. If the slaw was a little more tangy, I feel like it would've made the slider a whole lot better. The Mac was alright as well, the chicken in the bowl was really flavorful and actually a little spicier than my hot sandwich which was confusing considering we got medium spice for the Mac, but it was good. I was SOOOOOO excited to eat there just to be let down. Here's my breakdown. The restaurant was clean but needs some help with the layout because it's very crowded at the register. I ordered the 2 slider meal with 1 being hot and the other being angry. The hot one was not hot at all, and the angry one was just warm, but then again, I love super hot foods, and unfortunately, they were dry and bland to boot. The fries were yummy. The mac- n- cheese was a huge letdown, the elbows were overcooked, and the cheese was just nasty and bland, and to be honest, kraft tastes better. I won't be coming back here, not that the food was bad, it was okay. I just won't be back for seconds. I wanted to see what the hype was about and I'm guessing it's the burning sensation that one can't get in most places. The quality of service really shows. There's no wasted time in working to deliver your order in a timely manner. There's a Team Lead, named Jenna T. She, Jenna, heads up a solid group of multi-tasking co-workers. One time I went in and Jenna was responsible for cash register. The next time, she was in the kitchen. The next time she ran after someone because they forgot their food. Then, after a few visits, you notice...everyone is following Jenna's lead and seamlessly multi-tasking as well. The food is very greasy, but not crunchy exterior. The fries were fine. My husband enjoyed his chicken sandwich the first time and liked that you can pick the seasoning temperature. The problem is that the menu is so specific and if you're not into a giant chicken on a single piece of bread with a pickle, then you have to settle for one of the very few other items.
