When I walked in (April ) was on the phone . Her cell phone . Not sure if it was work related or not , but I waited 7 minutes: before she rung me up. Then while I was waiting for my food she's yelling at the young girl who was cooking the food. I felt bad for her . It was unprofessional. Does not matter what it was about, it should never be done in front of customers .. She tells her hurry up and finish cooking the food, because customer is waiting" and then proceeds to tell her all the things she did wrong with the cash register or wrong buttons she pushed at some point . read more

I have to say that was the worst breakfast we have has in a very long time what a waste of $45. I tried a sausage omelette the eggs were raw in the middle the cheese was not melted sausage very under cooked. Then my other half ordered a 3 egger the sausage was definitely not cooked and the hash browns were gross. Not to mention we saw flies just hovering over multiple different areas in the restaurant. I don't usually order cheesecake from Nations, but a couple of days ago we thought, why not, especially after spotting their seasonal offering, raspberry cheesecake. This wasn't just a plain cheesecake topped with raspberries. It featured a beautiful layer of pink whipped cream on top, and beneath that sat a classic cheesecake over a layer of raspberry jam and a graham cracker crust. The cheesecake itself was incredibly smooth and not overly dense. The sweetness was well balanced. The cheesecake had plenty of richness, while the pink whipped cream had very little flavor, which helped keep everything from becoming too sweet. I especially enjoyed the raspberry jam between the cheesecake and the crust, though I wasn't a big fan of the seeds mixed in, as they were not the most pleasant when bitten into unexpectedly. First time at this location. Restaurant was empty of customers. I have been to other NGH before and usually there are customers waiting or carry out orders picking up. The time was around 5:00 Friday. I came for buy one get one for a buck. The workers were courteous grill did not look busy. Hamburger patties were a bit dry but the thing I noticed most was the lettuce. I've been to the one Moraga and Pleasant Hill and there was always a lot of lettuce. Restaurant looked clean maybe because nobody's there. I think l will go back to the other restaurants. read more

Ahh, Nation's - back in the early 2000's Concord High School's marching band kids made this a regular hangout spot, stopping in for fries, shakes & the occasional 'cheese fries' (a plate of fries with a single piece of Velveeta melted on top). If you cared about someone, you made sure they ordered their burger with 'no whip.' If you've never had a burger with too much Miracle Whip on it, Nation's still delivers that experience, hot & fresh. Today I stopped in to check out the remodel, and sadly, they've destroyed the ambiance that previously made this place worth seeking out. The booths only fit 2 people and are uncomfortably close together. There's nowhere for groups to sit anymore. My Chicken Sandwich came with American cheese on it and - you guessed it - whip! I forgot my own rule. Kudos for the friendly service, the soda fountain, carafes of coffee & condiment bar, and the beautiful pies. Sadly, the times of yore are a bygone era. Early Saturday morning, not busy. No greeting, no smile. No hairnet. I asked how the employee taking my order "How are you today?" Finally a quick smile. I ordered a two egg breakfast with an orange juice. Food was ready in a timely manner. After a drink from my orange juice I noticed black stuff floating and at the bottom of glass. I then went to the counter to point it out. The woman replaced it from a freshly opened container and checked the new glass for cleanliness and gave it to me. No apology, no smile, no offer of free piece of pie. The restaurant was clean. Distracting load shouting in Spanish by the employees while I dined in. I live nearby and have been here many times. This Nations had been remodeled recently and all of the old wonderful staff has been replaced. I doubt I will come back or at least hesitate to give here another try. read more

In general though, we have enjoyed their freshly made burgers (which can be customized to add on tasty additions like bacon, avocado, green chiles, and chili!), excellent crispy onion rings and fries, and all-day breakfasts. We also like their BLT stacked with smoky bacon, fresh sliced tomatoes and crisp lettuce. They also offer good chili cheese hot dogs. A real standout for us are Nation's pies, with a particular shout out for their apple, cherry, pumpkin and banana cream offerings. Each serving is a 1/4 of the pie, so definitely save room for dessert! read more

I grabbed 2 cheese burgers tonight and when I got home my wife had noticed that her lettuce didn't look good so we called nations and spoke on the phone with Cristina asking her why it was ok to serve this to people and to start using fresh lettuce instead she said that the lettuce used was the only lettuce in the store and that was the only reason she served us that lettuce but if it's all moldy how can someone eat that that's a health hazard and all she said was there was nothing she can do about it and on top of that she didn't even insisting on giving us a refund so with this review I was just giving everyone a heads up to starting checking their food next time they eat here . 03.03.25 health inspections needs to review there score read more

I'm not sure if it's just the location but I was disappointed in my food the burger was very bland I opted for grilled onions and I barely saw any onions on my burger, I felt like they could have at least used some salt and pepper on my burger to give it some kind of flavor ...
