I think since they, much to his dismay, the SF location closed down but they established this new location, much to my delight, in Concord. The first time I came here was for my friend Maria's birthday. She treated the table of 9 for her birthday. We ordered three Kalbijjims with torched cheese and extra egg with varying levels of spice. Additionally we ordered a dolsot bibimbap with fried tofu for my vegetarian bestie, japchae, and countless bottles of flavored and unflavored soju for the table. It was a feast and a magnificent and delicious one at that. Since that dinner, I had been meaning to come back. Within the year, I ended up coming here a total of four times, each time ordering their signature Daeho Kalbijjim. It had continued to hit the spot each time, and the service has been great. This Concord location also does a good job at keeping everything clean and immaculate. Huge kudos.

The music was way too loud, almost like a night club - where you have to practically raise your voice to talk. It's great for guys, where their voice projects, but it's more difficult for anyone that has a bit higher. There are no tongs (but they will give you extra chopsticks). Also, the individual induction units are right on the table, instead of inset. This causes the potential of hot soup base spilling as a more likely experience for clumsy people. For the thing I love about this place? First... value for money. $29.99 per person for all-you-can-eat hotpot? This is amazing in this age where an entree is like $25-30. Appetizers are ordered 2 at a time, and meats are 6 at a time. Meats only come one on a thin tray, which holds about 4-6 slices. So you'll be ordering other helpings, since there are I believe 5 beef selections, and a pork and chicken selection (7) total. The middle of the restaurant is a large bar where you get everything that isn't a meat. The selection of vegetables, and noodles are pretty vast, and almost always refilled. The seafood area has shrimp, clams, tilapia, and mussels. Sauces area also on the sides which makes it pretty much an on-going motion. It's not the high-end of hot pot by any means, but the ambience that they're projecting works for the area that it's in and how they compete with the rest of the restaurants in the area. But for the money? I'd go here. We did sit in a side-middle area where it wasn't a booth. However, they made sure to separate out the seating so that if you were a group of 3, they situated in opposite ends to create space. Often times this annoys staff and then I feel bad or just stop going to not be a nuisance... I appreciate I have never felt like a burden here! They have been beautifully accommodating.
