    steak, broccoli, macaroni and cheese

I went here for a surprise birthday party. The place has 2 large rooms that I saw and could accommodate larger parties. I ordered the Caribbean Cowboy for a cocktail drink and it was pretty good. I ordered the filet with Mac and cheese and broccoli. It was all pretty good and met my expectations. They had a salad bar, but I didn't get anything from there. It looked like there were a lot of options though. The food came out in about 4-5 different sections to feed the group. The servers were good and attentive though, very nice. N

Lots of fat that cannot be eaten.... Yuck

This is our 3rd time to try this steakhouse. We wanted to give it one more try. Today, both my husband and I had steaks - I had the 14 oz prime rib (medium) and he had the Jack Daniels ribeye (medium rare). We thought we'd give this place another try, but they always overcook the steaks. It was both dry. For my 14 oz prime rib - I should have just ordered the 12 oz. There's so much chunk of fat in it that was more than 2 oz. Disappointing. I know it's not the waitress' fault. We did not complain. We just won't be back.

Our sirloins were juicy and hot! They had a yummy seasoning on them. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. The baked potatoes were baked to perfection. What a delicious meal!

Favorite breakfast place! My son and I just had breakfast here this morning. Since it's a holiday they had their buffet which he loves. He's 11 and loves getting meats, biscuits with gravy and fresh fruit. I'm still in a knee scooter so I ordered off the menu. I had one of their breakfast skillets. It was cooked perfectly, even the eggs over easy. Some places overlook them but mine were perfect! Hash browns were golden and crispy. Even the bacon was cooked just how I like it, crispy but not burned. I always ask they hold the ham and mushrooms and the order was correct. Then my pancakes were so light and fluffy. If you are really hungry, you've gotta try a skillet. I get full on only half then take the rest home for a second meal! I had this same breakfast a couple weeks ago and it was just as good and fresh. Some places either over or undercook the hash browns and meat but mine really was perfect! My son had the buffet because he loves the meats, biscuits with gravy and fresh fruit. He said his was amazing! Bacon crispy and the biscuit just right. When an 11 year old describes in detail how great it was, you know he loved it! And I feel it's always a great amount of food for the price

My Husband had the 3 way basket and it was more than he expected , bursting with flavor and the amount of food was enough for 2 to share. I had the 1lb crab legs with fried Okra and cajun rice . Hands down the fried catfish was amazing - though it wasn't what I ordered. Unfortunately the seafood boil dinner was lackluster in presentation and they were out of several staple items for that night (We did get alternate items at no extra charge). I don't usually splurge on cuisine like this too often but when I do I hope for it to be nearly perfect, worth every penny and worth bragging about. The crab leg I've attached to this review was small and had almost no meat to it.. almost as if it were the last bit of crab they had left. The drinks came out very slow, had to ask a few times about drinks we had ordered and they were out of options (beers on tap) that night as well. The restaurant was really fun and full of character. But being an out-of-towner I was disappointed that I've had better sea food at chain restaurants vs a local establishment. Can't say I'd never come back, I would probably order something else and come on a less busy night...

I stopped by today to kill time and have some breakfast while waiting on some local businesses to open. I decided to keep it simple and get the ham and cheese omelet. They exceeded my expectations. The toast was fresh and well buttered, the hash browns cooked to just a little bit of a crunch, and the omelette was packed full of flavor and ham. There's not many places you can get a full meal for less than $10. I may have to make this a more frequent stop.

On our first visit, it took a while to be greeted and it took forever to receive our food. I think we were there for two hours altogether on our first trip and we did not think that we would be returning. Fast-forward a few months and we came here because it was one of the few places open that had down home cooking, which we were wanting. I'm so glad we came again because it was such a great experience and we've gone again a handful of times since. I've had a few things here, but my favorites are their burgers, hand cut fries, the fried zucchini, and the lemon meringue pie. All of them are delicious. They also make a mean club sandwich, although sometimes they forget to cut it in quarters and just cut it in half. Not a big deal, but I personally prefer mine in quarters. The staff are friendly for the most part. There is one lady who I assume is the manager, who is almost always being rude to someone, whether it be her own staff or the customers. She always has something grouchy and negative to say, or she's belittling her staff in front of everyone. I personally would hate to work for someone like that. Hopefully she will have some joy in her life so she can turn things around. We can always tell when we get her on the phone for our call-in orders because she is the only one who is grumpy about having to type in the fact that we want to make a substitution for a burger topping. It's kind of sad that she stands out in this way, but that does not make it any less true. Anyway, the tables could use a bit of cleaning, especially the ones nearest the wall where there is dirt and dust. Aside from that, I really have no complaints about Rosie Jo's. It is one of our favorite places to eat in Ozark and we will definitely be back.

We didn't realize they were closing at 8:00. We were sat, usual procedure. We ordered an appetizer and our food. Enjoyed the fried mushrooms. Our dinner came, it was great. They turned up the lights and the barrage began. It seemed attentive at first, then got really annoying. We're closing the salad bar, do you want anything from it? Can I get you anything else? Can I get you to-go drinks? Are you ready for your ticket? Here's your ticket. Is there anything else? Can I take any of your plates? At that point I'm done. Take all the plates. I'm not enjoying this anymore. As my husband was calmly explaining that if you let us in the door, we should be allowed to eat; I'm fuming and paying the bill and stomping out, because I can't be contained when I'm upset. I just shouldn't talk. When we first walked in the door, if they'd told us that they're closing soon, fine! We will just go somewhere else! No problem. We've both worked in restaurants and hated when guests walk in at closing! The food is good. I'm sick at my stomach about how we were treated. Hubby said we would be back. He might be back alone.
