And that little crazy salad bar...gosh so I like it. Homemade dressings and croutons. And an onion salad....has celery seed to set it off...I just love the cold salad dishes. My only knock on the place: They need to have real bacon bits on the salad bar - (not) those Baco Bacon but crapper things. But other than that..... They don't have prices on the menu saying that it's due to the prices changing so often but with what they charge for some of their steaks could easily afford to print out paper menus with the price each day, they just like people paying the higher prices because they can't see the difference between some of their different steaks. Not sure if it's because we are not regulars but the waitress seemed to want to check in a little as possible. I am giving three stars because I feel like changes are needed. This place rarely disappoints. I was a little unhappy to see the prices on the menu disappeared. I believe that's a hardship on the wait staff if you have to ask them the price of dinners. My right to know the price before ordering helps me decide on my order. The rib eye steak was $43.95 for a 12oz. Too me that's a little pricey to learn after you ordered your meal. The KC strip was $34.95. We also ate the Walleye fish. It was very good but different. I thought it would be battered in cornmeal, not flour or cornstarch. It was a tiny bit tough on the outside but still good. I also disagree with getting your condiments at the salad bar for the bake potato. When the line is long your potato is now cold, along with your dinner. I don't want to go wait in line to get the fixins' for a bake potato when my meal is on the table getting cold and there's 10 people in line at the salad bar. $43.00 is a lot of money to pay to eat a steak that's barely warm after waiting through the salad line. I remember them bringing a baked potato tray to the table before and setting it down, then they come and pick it up. The Crusties on the salad bar are delicious, however, they are gone too quickly. We have come here several times when we are in the area over the years. We were disappointed with our meals this time. My shrimp was breaded frozen, could have had better from the grocery store. My husband had chicken strips and it too was nothing to brag about. Food was cold and bland. Baked potatoes were small and vold. The only thing good was the salad bar. Super disappointed. My husband and I came because it was recommended by someone. We arrived and waited at least 5 minutes before anyone came to the front to seat us. It then took another 10 minutes to get a server. We were prepared and ordered a bottle of wine(because their single glass wine was Barefoot and not one we care for, so we opted for the only other option, a BOTTLE of Woodbridge for $20 - -$6.99 at the store) a filet and sirloin both Medium Rare, baked potatoes and salad bar. We had to ask for the bottle of wine a good 15 minutes in then she came and said they were out of prepared baked potatoes and we asked for fries. A good 15-20 minutes later our food came. The filet was Medium not MR, but had good flavor! The sirloin was Medium to Medium Well and was okay. I asked for ketchup for the fries but never got it. We finished without her checking on us. There are no prices on the menu so we expected to pay $60-$75, but our bill was $89 + tip. We will not go back. The staff was really hustling to serve everyone efficiently and I give them a thumbs up for succeeding. The salad bar was plentiful and fresh. We've had great steaks all over the country, like Del Frisco's in NYC, R2L in Philly, Metropolitan Grill and Salty's on Alki, etc. etc. Is the ambiance like Del Frisco's? When asked how many was in our group and when we told her 7 she asked if we had reservations. When we stated we did not she said that they were not going to be able to accommodate us.
