Very good late lunch here. Seat yourself and there is plenty of seating - restaurant is deceptively large! We had the spinach artichoke dip and the crispy tortillas that come with it are so good! We ordered mushroom Swiss burgers, very good. The fries are a stand out, delicious. Large selection of beer, mixed drinks and shots. Friendly server and good food. Parking right out front is a bit limited as there are a number of stores and this restaurant is in a housing area. Definitely recommend! read more

Changed my mind. This place is a very strong 4 star. The person on aux was cooking. The burger was good but honestly Jack Browns downtown clears. It was decent for what it was worth. The side salad is adequate with bacon bits on it which was good. Service was good here and was happy overall. The ambiance is more for college kids at this location since you're dining in the grid. So my wife and I went there as we were in the area and wanted a nice lunch before running our errands we had today.We went in and it was a plain but pleasant sports bar looking environment.The waitress who sadly I can't remember her name was a cute young girl with Blonde hair who was very professional and kinda cordial got us our drinks.I got the Brisket sandwich and my wife wanted just 2 appetizers.Very simple orders.Well again our waitress was great.And that's wear it ended. The food was extremely mediocre ,the brisket sandwich had two little pieces of meat very dry I had a small coleslaw on the side and it was sour,everything tasted extremely reheated...you know like in a microwave. 32 dollars for a lousy sandwich and two reheated sides and cold Marinara sauce....like COLD. Stopped in at Angus Grill here on a suggestion from a friend, and I was not disappointed! Being originally from Texas, I had to try their bbq Brisket Burger. According to the friendly manager, Michael, the brisket is locally sourced here in North Carolina from Brookwood Farms in Silas City (Highway 64 West) and I have to say, it was quite delicious! A nice change from the Eastern North Carolina vinegar based BBQ. It was semi-sweet, but not too sweet... combined with great consistency, texture with a delicious smoked flavor. Helping out a local farmer is just a bonus to this delicious burger! The fries were crisp and seasoned, made even tastier with the house dipping sauce, "Bubba Sauce," so named after the original owner, Bubba. With the Monday and Tuesday specials of $5 burgers as well as their other daily specials, I will be back! read more

I love eating at this restaurant because of the atmosphere normally but I wasn't able to go sit down and just wanted to order take out. To my surprise the sides that are supposed to be included with my burger is now al a carte when it goes to ask what side I would like. Angus grill used to be my favorite burger place in Greenville. I definitely will not be ordering from here for a very long time. In the past 6 months we have ordered take out orders from both the Greenville and Winterville locations. Every single time, something is wrong with our order. I always pay for a side of ranch and I never receive it. Tonight I ordered the sweet onion burger- only to get home and realize that the only thing on the burger is a few onions and cheese. No sauce. No bacon. Dry as all get out. The fries were also very over salted. What a disappointment this place has turned into. I will not be giving this place any more of my money when they take my extra money for side items that I do not receive and the cooks obviously don't know how to make their own burger. We went to the Greenville restaurant in the old "Dr.Unks" location, probably more of an indicator of how long I've been here than a direction to you current college students. It's great to see this place alive again. It's exactly how Dr.Unks used to be before it became the loud obnoxious jam band s*** hole it was before it closed. The music is a perfect volume to have a conversation with the person across the table from you, the TVs are NOT all playing sports and the food is excellent. My girlfriend had a burger and she loved it, while I had the ribeye cheese steak and wow, hands down the best cheese steak in town! It was a perfectly cooked ribeye dripping with those delicious salty cooked on a flat top beef drippings, a good amount of grilled onions and peppers with the right amount of cheese to hold it all together. The fries are good and crispy and the beer cold. I mean, what's not to like about a place like this? If I was a college student living on the grid, this is where I'd be getting my burgers and beer. Cherish places like this Greenville, it's not another chain crammed amongst the countless other chains plopped in some strip mall on Greenville Blvd, but a nice easy going joint that serves great food in the heart of city center. It has a lot of parking and is located away from the hustle of uptown. They have TVs for sports fans but my favorite is the type of music they play. The bartenders will always take a couple of drinks off your bill if you're nice to them. If they ask you if you want bubba sauce, do yourself a favor and ask for extra. There's also an older guy who will let you taste test all the beers too. The one weird thing is that all the employees constantly play the lottery as soon as they get the money to do so.
