Changed my mind. This place is a very strong 4 star. The person on aux was cooking. The burger was good but honestly Jack Browns downtown clears. It was decent for what it was worth. The fries were remarkable, extra crispy and beer battered. Service took a little bit even though it was kinda empty and there was a fly roaming around so that's a point to make. Overall this location is a good burger joint.

Stopped in at Angus Grill here on a suggestion from a friend, and I was not disappointed! Being originally from Texas, I had to try their bbq Brisket Burger. According to the friendly manager, Michael, the brisket is locally sourced here in North Carolina from Brookwood Farms in Silas City (Highway 64 West) and I have to say, it was quite delicious! A nice change from the Eastern North Carolina vinegar based BBQ. It was semi-sweet, but not too sweet... combined with great consistency, texture with a delicious smoked flavor. Helping out a local farmer is just a bonus to this delicious burger! The fries were crisp and seasoned, made even tastier with the house dipping sauce, "Bubba Sauce," so named after the original owner, Bubba. With the Monday and Tuesday specials of $5 burgers as well as their other daily specials, I will be back!

The burgers and drink specials are great but I doubt I even got a full pickle with my fried pickle order. Extremely disappointed.

Drinks are a great price as well as the burgers. The apps however leave much to be desired. I ordered a $5 fried pickle app and received less that a full pickle. Super bummed about that.

Didn't get what was described on menu as a Hawaiian chicken sandwich. No pineapple. Slow service for 4tables at 1pm.

Inattentive waitress, did not communicate or check on our table, terrible mixed drinks. The salad was good.

I went here for a business dinner. I'm a foodie, and to be honest, when I looked at the menu, I…read morewasn't sure what to expect because it looked like an unfocused/random selection of dishes. However, I'm glad to say my instincts were completely wrong on this one. My business colleagues told me all the ingredients are locally sourced, and the based of taking diner food and making it a little more modern (without the pretentiousness). The space matches the concept - modern diner. I tried the following: - Daily Bread: Very good. Nothing like freshly bread and butter. - Spaetzle Mac & Cheese: Excellent. I've had spaetzle and and I've had mac & cheese, and this was as good as interpretation of mac & cheese I've ever had. A lot of my colleagues thought this was the most memorable dish of the night. - Pickled Things: Good. I always like trying new things, and pickled blueberries and fried saltines were new to me. Really nice surprises. - Daily NC Catch (Trout): Very good. Trout was just as perfect as can be with a nice crispy sear on the skin, and meat was still tender. The risotto underneath was good, but a bit over-seasoned. Service was incredible. The server was interactive, fun, attentive and doing a masterful job of single-handedly managing a table of over 12 people, which is never easy. Overall, a great meal. Really great food with service that made us feel like restaurant regulars. If I happen to visit Greenville NC again, I would definitely make sure to return.

The daily catch was trout and the beef was a hanger steak. We weren't too sold on either tonight so I got the chicken sandwich. The chicken was cooked really well but there was so much hot sauce on it, I would def ask for it on the side if you're not someone who wants hot sauce dripping through your bun. Also got the truffle fries which tasted a lot like oil and were just ok! The server we had was very friendly but we sat with empty waters (hard when you have a very hot sauce-y sandwich) and the girl walking around with water walked right past us at one point. Native is typically where we go for our celebration dinners, tonight being our two year wedding anniversary, and I think we will switch it up next time because of this trip.

From the parts I got to see inside was small table seating around the bar. We got lucky to sit in at the outdoor covered patio seating which was great minus perhaps some outdoor heaters to warm it up a bit. Service was good overall. Servers were fun and helpful. Service a bit slow on our drink refills but the food running and table bussing was fast. Food was great, wished I had taken pics to share. Menu consisted of a good selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and sides. Everything we tried was great. Chicken nachos were awesome, wish they had been a bit bigger but the topping portions was perfect and the taste amazing. The Cuban and fried pork chop sandwiches were again great and the spicy sweet potato fries were so good. Potion sizes were good and the food tasty. The nachos and spicy sweet potato fries were my faves. While probably not the place for young families, this was a hidden gem and fantastic find. Not really for those in wheelchairs as it is tight getting through the bar area, but there was a small ramp I recall. Bathrooms could use some work, about what you'd expect at your local dive bar but only a single stall and could be cleaner. Highly recommend this place.

We got the pulled pork and chopped brisket, cornbread, mac n cheese, baked beans and a bottle of sauce (included). We felt the value for amount of food was great, and I loved that they included smaller containers of most, if not all, of their sauces so we could try them! The corn bread was great, a couple pieces were pretty dark but still warm and fresh. The baked beans, for me, was a highlight! They were so good, whatever sauce they're cooked in was SO good, I ended up dipping my pulled pork/ brisket into that instead of the sauces!! So good!!! Our kids liked the Mac n cheese, we thought it was pretty good too! Loved that the pulled pork came with no sauce, made it super easy to portion it out for my husband and keep it fresh. Thee brisket came sauced, but the flavor was really good so we were fine with that! Overall, we'd definitely do this once in a while. It was about $90 total for the family meal, which is a little steep for a regular family meal. But flavor was great, everything was fresh, and we very much enjoyed it and will have leftovers for days!!

It just feels stagnant and uninspired. Nothing new, nothing seasonal, nothing exciting. If you've been once, you've basically seen it all. The food itself was bland and boring. Dishes lacked seasoning and creativity, and nothing stood out as memorable. For the prices they charge, you expect at least some depth of flavor, but everything felt flat. Service was also slow, even though it wasn't especially busy. We waited far too long for basic things, and the staff didn't seem particularly attentive or professional. There was a noticeable lack of urgency and overall polish. Overall, it feels like a place that hasn't evolved in years -- same menu, same energy, same issues. Unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to expectations.

We ended our amazing dinner sharing an incredible white chocolate bread pudding. The place is kitschy & cool, taking full advantage of a busy storefront display. The service was perfect, not too invasive or pushy, just the right amount of southern hospitality and menu knowledge (we got the steak sauce on the side and the amazing dessert as suggested!). We look forward to returning.
