I told my stylist I wanted a mix of the cosmo and the mai tai (loose fun curls) for my engagement photos. She was very kind and sweet, however, from the start she seemed very hesistant and uncomfortable. I felt like she was not very experienced. When she washed my hair she also made comments about how she has burns on her hands, so it felt very rushed and like my scalp did not get a full wash. She also did not dry it all the way, and then had to ask another stylist what she would recommend she do for curling my hair. By the end, she stated she was finished and I had to point out at least 2-3 areas that were still straight that she completely missed. For $70 with tip this was a complete waste. If I'm going to Drybar to get my hair done for an event, I expect the stylist to be more comfortable and experienced. I don't think I'll be back, at least not to this location.

Upon completion of the redo service, I was told that I needed to buy a specific shampoo and conditioner to preserve the Keratin. Since I was told about this beforehand this time, it was a better experience than last time, when I wasn't even told about needing specific aftercare products. Update: so I go back and follow their instructions and purchase the specific products and use them as directed and my hair is still not straight. This Keratin does not work.

I was told by multiple stylists the work Locks and Lashes did was horrendous. The micro extensions were placed on thin pieces of hair, so the extensions would inevitably fall out fast. I remember a stylist watch Kay put in my extensions, and she whispered "you're doing this really fast...". She did it fast because she overbooked. The extensions were also placed in no pattern- trained stylist knows to place these extensions in rows, so it looked TERRIBLE and caused my hair to get tangled and matted up. Kay: I asked to lighten my hair only enough not to damage it. I specifically said do not overdo it as I knew it was damaged. Finally, Kay "misunderstood" what services I wanted during our initial consultation. I said I wanted the brown under my hair blonde, but Kay still scheduled a partial highlight (this does not cover the bottom of the hair). She did this because she's money hungry and tries to get in as many clients as possible per day. Masks were not required during the appointment, and the salon was at full capacity (and this was days after salons re-opened). Locks and Lashes clearly does not care about COVID protocols, as they broke several guidelines during my appointment. It felt like they were trying to maximize revenue and did not care about the safety of their clients, nor do they take pride in the work they do. If you're a victim of terrible extensions from this salon, *Amor Beauty by Andreia* is professionally trained in microbead extensions, and she fixed all the terrible work this salon did at a very reasonable price. I called and made a last minute appointment for a blow out at a time close to what I was looking for (I wasn't going to complain, I was surprised to get in at all). Hours later I arrive, to a locked door, and a girl finally lets me in from the rain and asks if I'm here for a tan. When I tell her no she looks extremely confused and then can't find me in the computer, but she says we'll get started right away. She asks what I'm looking for and I mention the "dilworth" (one of the styles mentioned on the site), no glimmer of recognition in her face, so then I just say "some volume and some curls". As she's speeding through my hair with a fifteen second shampoo and a twenty second conditioning, I honestly start to think I'm in the wrong place. Am I going to get a call in ten minutes from another salon asking why I'm not there? The girl keeps asking me about my phone call that morning, do I know who I talked to, do I remember when I called. It's become very obvious she was ready to go home early, and I'd ruined it. But I see the wine glasses and remember the mention of wine on the site, and they carry bumble and bumble like the site I looked at... I have to be in the right place. She uses assorted sizes of round brushes in my hair as "curlers" as she's drying it, and as I get up to look at it finally offers to use a curling iron... Yeah, that'd be great. So she divides my hair into five section, curls each of those, and then curls my bangs. However, she hasn't even taken the time to dry my bangs correctly, so a portion of them just don't want to cooperate, and I'm not sure she cared. She knows I'm going out that night and knows the weather, so I'm happy to hear what sounds like tons of hair spray going on my hair, cause it's gonna need it. As I'm checking out we discover one of the women still there took my call and accidentally put me in as a tan. Mystery solved. I pay the $35 and tip and head home, head covered. As I start preparing for the evening about 30 minutes later, I realize my hair has gone almost completely flat. I have a slight wave and my Farrah Fawcett bangs left, so I run to my own bottle of hair spray and save what I can. So much for the site's claim that the styles should last several days! I was happy for my curled bangs and the temporary volume, not going to lie, but for what I paid I almost wish she would have turned me away at the door.

I came into the salon (which also houses Gorgeous Glo) and picked out my style (all styles are named after Charlotte neighborhoods) and the best part--I was in and out in about 30 minutes. What?! This is unheard of...but it did happen! I am living proof. They also just opened up a second location in SouthPark. Worth giving a try and especially good for the busy woman on the go!

My hair was getting out of control, so I searched high and low for someone who had good reviews that had done tape-ins before. That's where Jennifer came in. I emailed her in desperation telling her my situation and she got me in THE SAME WEEK, and she works late hours so you can actually schedule with her after work which I feel like never happens. So, scheduling with her was an enormous win - but the experience was even better. I left work and got there a little early, she got me right in and offered me champagne - which I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by given the name, but OH MY GOSH was it a nice surprise after a horrendously long day at work.
