You're about to give up and then you meet Raymond. Raymond would have loved to have sold me what he had on display (of course who wouldn't), but when I wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for he reached out to his SoCal Lindberg representative and found he had a frame sample of the right shape and size, and another frame of the right color. They also did the research to determine the color of one could be had on the shape of the other. Unfortunately, for the past three years I've had repeated issues ordering contacts and glasses through the office. My most recent contact lens order is what finally prompted me to share my experience. About a month ago I ordered contacts and my card was charged around $300. After hearing nothing, I called to check in and was told the manufacturer "never delivered" my order. Immediately after that call, I received an email receipt from the office dated that same day--making it pretty clear the order hadn't been placed until I followed up. I understand mistakes happen, but this has happened before, and it's become a pattern. The tough part is that I'm now out of contacts while I wait (possibly another month). I also asked if I could get a sample pair to hold me over, and that request was declined, even though the delay was caused by the office not placing the order. As much as I've liked Dr. Dodge personally, the ordering/fulfillment process has been consistently unreliable, so I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Okay, no big deal and easy. Picked them up and asked to get them adjusted. That's when it went awry. I figured they'd be experienced and be able to adjust my glasses as I had to have an appointment for pick up. Nope. Save yourself the trouble and get them adjusted elsewhere. They gave it a very valiant effort but execution left a lot to be desired. They didn't break my new glasses but they were not balanced or straight after adjusting. Great taste in frames.

Full disclose, this review is regarding my experience only ordering glasses, no optometrist visit…read more TLDR: I got what I needed, but will keep looking for a different place for my family's needs. My toddler daughter needed glasses and we already had a prescription from her pediatric Ophthalmologist. I was searching for a place closer to home that carried toddler frames, because the recommendations from her pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Dohney eye institute in Pasadena were all in SGV. I called New Vision specifically asking about frames for my 20-month old and after being satisfied with their answers, made an appointment. However, their selection was disappointing and they didn't have the strap-on toddler frames, as I was told on the phone. I went with the only viable option reluctantly because I wanted to get the glasses and didn't want to waste more time. I gave them the prescription (in paper form) and they had trouble with their scanner so told me they'd give it back to me when we picked up the glasses. I asked if my daughter needed to be present, and they said yes. When glasses were ready, they texted me at 3:48 Friday asking me to make an appointment, and said they were closing at 4:15 and reopened on Monday. Had I been notified even a couple hours earlier, I could have rearranged my schedule instead of waiting until Monday. So that was disappointing. Finally when picking them up, my daughter tried them on but they didn't really do anything else so not sure why my daughter needed to be present or why I needed to make an appointment. And they also didn't have the paper prescription that I had been promised. The person giving me the glasses made zero effort and just told me how easy it is to request it again from the ophthalmologist office. I obviously know this. This just underscored to me that things aren't communicated properly about patient requests.

It had been years since I had an eye exam, so I had that weird feeling of being out of the loop with any of the terms or options. Tammy and all the ladies in the office really did a fantastic job of not only educating me, but making me feel like everything was going to be ok. It's the type of place that you actually look forward to, because you always have a good time. I see why they are so highly rated, and I will definitely recommend to friends and family.
