Horrible. Dangerous. A Nightmare. Pure Torture. This office injured, jabbed, lacerated my eyeballs by Lili or Lily Tejeda as known as Liliana Tejeda Carlos - Hispanic female - LILY, you are very dangerous unlicensed crooked Hispanic female employee. No first aid was ever rendered by the Dr. Warren Jay Reingold and questionable as well. Prior to visit, phone rep said lasik consultation included eye written Rx for glasses was included in the office visit. Iwas told no extra charge. In reality, Eye Rx for glasses was an additional charge and paid in advance at the time of the visit, performed by this unlicensed Hispanic female - Lily Tejeda or Liliana Tejeda Carlos - who jabbed/ripped/lacerated my eyeballs that same day. I came to this Warren Jay Reingold - Reingold Eye Center - office for Lasik consultation. I came out with terrifying ordeal. Eyeballs jabbed/ripped/lacerated by an unlicensed employee My eyeballs were coldly ripped by Liliana Tejeda Carlos - Hispanic white female 5'2" Imagine visiting an eye clinic to get a lasik consultation. Ended up with injured eyeballs by this clinic's cruel, unlicensed incompetent Hispanic long time female employee - Lily Tejeda or Lily Carlos or Liliana Tejeda Carlos. The whole terrifying ordeal lasted 2 hours and 30 minutes. Eyes was shut, could hardly opened my eyeballs from intense pain - caused by criminal employee - Lily - Liliana Tejeda Carlos. Dr. Warren Jay Reingold did not render first aid after I requested one. Refused to give me ice. Meredith McCurdy said the office has no ice available. I was in so much pain from jabbed/lacerated eyeballs. Could not sit straight from super intense both eye pain from being jabbed/lacerated/ripped by Liliana Tejeda Carlos - unlicensed Hispanic female employee. I was slouching for over 2 hours in the tortured chamber doctor's office room chair. Dr Warren Jay Reingold was no where in site for the past two hours sinced my eyeballs were jabbed/lacerated by his employee Liliana Carlos. There was no Dr. Reingold until almost 5pm and doctor acted as if nothing had ever happened. When I asked Dr Reingold "How's my eyeballs?" Dr Reingold snapped and said "Your eyeballs are healthy!!!" Healthy? Having been intentionally jabbed, ripped and lacerated by your crooked employee of yours Dr Warren Jay Reingold - your wicked evil employee - Lily - Liliana Tejeda Carlos - you call that healthy? Allowing an unlicensed crooked employee, Liliana Tejeda Carlos to injure me for life ( Lily - Liliana Carlos who refused to give out her last name, staffs were rude and uncooperative) Lily jabbed and lacerated my eyeballs was HORRIBLY PAINFUL. Dr. Warren Jay Reingold employs his crooked Lily for over 10 years and Lily acted like doctor would, spending time with patient like me, getting jabbed, lacerated was PRETTY SCARY, dropping more eye drops because I was in so much eye ball pain from Lily Tejeda Carlos medical procedure-jabbing ripping/lacerating my eyeballs? Since when are unlicensed and unauthorized personnel allow to work on my eyeballs? Patients eyeballs. To this day I had so much pain, unbelievable nightmare. My eyeballs are forever damaged. The unlicensed assistant Lily - Liliana Tejeda Carlos - who caused the damaged to my eyeballs was the same person who rendered first aid by pouring more eye drops into my eyeballs - that was the crooked Liliana Tejeda Carlos' first aid and wrongly counseled me. Lily said to " just keep my closed your eyes and then lined my eyelashes with ointment?" Is this unlicensed Lily Carlos allowed to medically counsel the patient that she injured? Lily counsel before/after injuring my eyeballs. Lily counseled me what to do with my ripped eye balls! Where was Dr Warren Jay Reingold when I need one at that moment of pure horror. How about after spending two and a half hours, no advise or first aid was given by Dr. Warren Jay Reingold. I wish I had not visited your dangeour wicked Reingold Eye Center. And to top it all - Dr Warren Jay Reingold will not fix my eyeballs, ripped by his unlicensed, crooked longtime FAVORITE Hispanic female employee who could talk the walk and walk the walk - who goes by the name Lily Tejeda or Lily Carlos or legally as Liliana Tejeda Carlos. Lily and the office refused to give out Lily's last name. Dr Reingold sent me a good bye letter. This was pure horror. Where were you Dr. Warren Jay Reingold at the time of pure horror. How come no advise, no first aid. You acted nonchallantly as if you do not know the torture I endured just hours prior to you coming into the room I was in. You have a medical office and no ice. No ice for your patient in tremendous pain, intentionally injured by your favorite Hispanic female employee - Lily Tejeda or Lily Carlos or, as known as Liliana Tejeda Carlos - Hispanic white female with big eyes. read more

I had a crazy looking bacterial eye infection that that looked like a giant pimple on my eyelid! It was painful, itchy, uncomfortable and incredibly inconvenient. I luckily struck gold by finding Dr. Reingold's office through Googling ophthalmologist in StudioCity. They were able to fit in that day. Dr. Reingold told me I had to have my eyelid drained which meant they'd have to cut it, scrape out the bacteria and suture it. I was super scared to do it but Dr. Reingold was extremely patient with me and helped me stay calm through out the procedure. He took his time and was very careful to take care of what all women concern themselves with, my lashes! After the procedure I felt better and the pressure was subsiding. He ask me to come in the next day he wanted me to see another doctor in his office Dr. Roya H Ghafouri who is a specialist. Dr. Roya seem to be cut from the same cloth. She was extremely nice and had incredible bedside manner. Dr. Roya was very thorough, asking me questions about my eye and even questions about my lifestyle, my life. She was able to create a recovery/medication/preventative prescription plan and was extremely open to me contacting her with any neurotic questions I could have afterwards!!! I wear both contacts and lenses and after my eye got better there was no other place I was going to go. Dr. Amadian is the optometrist and the third to this Trinity. She was from the beginning so cool, easy to talk to, thorough, and very patient with my exam. Which made me happy to come in to chose glasses from Dr. Reingold's line OPUS OPTICS. They have a really great selection of cool, modern looks. I ordered them on a Thursday and they were ready in two days which is quicker than you can say for some of those online companies. I suppose what I'm really trying to say is that you can probably go to any doctor but when you find a Doctor or Doctors that are super qualified ,care, that have really good bedside manner, that are supportive and patient. Those are the people that you want around you when you need help. If you need any eye care, I would definitely urge you to go see Dr. Reingold's office. Pun intended. ;) read more

I had been going to an Optometrist and had to change my glasses quite frequently with my vision getting worse. My vision was becoming very cloudy. My wife kept referring to me as Mr. Magoo and my carpool partner had to remind me to keep it between the lines. If there was any reflection I could not see at all and had to stop driving during the bright part of the day. I made an appointment to see Dr. Reingold and after a very though evaluation I was informed that I had cataracts. The Dr. explained what they were and that it was very common. I was quite surprised and left the office with information on the several different options available to take care of the problem. I discussed it with my wife and did considerable research as to what would be the best option. I made another appointment with Dr. Reingold to discuss the surgery. He and his staff explained, in detail, the lens options. I didn't like the idea of having a distance lens in one eye and a close up lens in the other so I opted for the Crystalens, they flex similar to the human lens. I had the surgeries performed by Dr. Reingold in January and February 2013. The Crystalens were more expensive but have proven to be money well spent and worth every penny. What a difference, the lines seem all freshly painted on the freeway; it is night and day difference. I can, in good light, read # 8 font and very rarely pick up glasses. I can drive night and day without glasses and read road and street signs way off in the distance. It has been several years since my surgeries and I can say that I am extremely satisfied with the outcome and the professionalism of Dr. Reingold and his staff. It is said that the true test of satisfaction is: would you do it over again? I would not hesitate to do it all over again. read more

Five Stars for the front desk staff who was able to give me a same day appointment for an urgent eye infection. They were completely professional and efficient to getting me in to see the doc. On another note Dr Reingold has been my doctor for more than 25 years. He has been working with my primary care doctor to monitor for signs of a new infection in my eyes. Over the years I have honestly gotten to know him and many of the other office staff. I try to get annual eye exams for my contact lens prescription which needs to be refilled annually. Going to see Dr Reingold is always a great experience because of his office staff and eye technicians. My only reluctance to give him 5 stars is that usually his office is busy with other patients who have appointments (and maybe have same day urgent appointments). If they could keep on time I would certainly give him the 5 plus stars he deserves. So to make a long story shorter be prepared to wait at least 1 hour and a half for your allocated time. All in all it's so worth it because Dr Reingold is such a good, kind, personable doctor. And I should know as I too am in the medical field as a retired MD myself. Parking is easy on the street and in the back down a long narrow alley. If you are not careful it is easy to hit a wall. But do yourself a BIG FAVOR and check Dr Reingold out. Dr. Reingold has been my eye doctor for a couple of years. His staff is always welcoming, the wait time is short and everyone is nice, yet professional. This is so because he obviously hires people who follow his philosophy concerning patient care. I recently had cataract surgery. He had me put it off for a couple of years, for which I'm grateful. I think he understood, the trepidation I had for having this procedure. He explained it in detail and made sure that it was something I wanted to do. He laid out the choices in lenses and mapped out the regiment of eye drops and recovery. He was patient and compassionate with my questions and fears. He went beyond my expectations in his follow up after each eye was done. Even to the extent of calling me after hours to make sure that my eye pressure post operation had equalized. As an older person, I see my share of doctors. Most encounters with them are factory-like, in and out, 5 minutes per visit and so on. I understand that, it's how our medical system has become. You get decent health care, but it's very depersonalized, with few doctors that you feel are connected to you as a person, as well as with your health. along with my GP doctor and dermatologist, Dr, Reingold is one of those doctors I remember from days of yore, who sees you as a human being, that takes the operative philosophy to "do no harm" to it's fullest extent, that sees you as more that a walking medical issue. I have Been a patient of Dr. Reingold's for 25 years and though I have moved to different areas of Los Angeles County in that time, I have never thought of changing eye doctor's because the entire experience at his eye center is simply the best - personalized, thorough, and everything is always explained in a way I can understand. From emergency scenarios to most recent cataract surgery the staff has always been super helpful, friendly, and very positive! Last year I had to have cataract surgery in both eyes. I had put it off for so many years I was basically blind. Dr. Reingold and Lilly (the best physician assistant ever) calmed my fears with clear choices and opinions about what would be best for my specific situation. By the time the first eye was done I couldn't wait to get the second one done! I felt so safe with Dr. Reingold and was pretty much back to business by the same afternoon as the surgeries. Not only are the cataracts gone but I no longer have to wear glasses for distance. I can't describe how amazing it is to wake up every day and see so clearly. And after wearing glasses for distance my whole life, what a joy to be able to drive, do activities, go to movies, etc. without glasses! It feels very much like a miracle. A visit to Dr. Reingold's office is always easy, the staff is always pleasant and helpful, and to be honest if I could transfer Dr. Reingold's chair-side manner to other doctors I see, I would do so in a heartbeat!!! read more

I was referred to Dr. Reingold by my general practitioner for painful back of the neck headaches which he thought were vision related. After examining my eyes and doing tests Dr. Reingold said there was nothing wrong with my eyes, or brain-- which I hadn't even been thinking about, so that was a relief. He then asked a bunch of questions and focused in about my sleeping habits and conferred with doctor about possible sleep apnea. Long story short it turned out I did have sleep apnea and was prescribed a CPAP machine. The difference in alertness and clarity of thought was remarkable. The headaches disappeared and I don't even have to take naps from constant fatigue. It turns out I was choking in my sleep which was also causing other issues, and in the future could have killed me through heart disease or other ailments. The difference in my life is remarkable and I just had to write this review on an amazing doctor that actually figured something out NOT in his direct field. I will go to Dr. Reingold for all my eye needs for the rest of my (now, possibly longer) life. He has great patient to doctor skills and his place is clean and well run so you don't wait long for your appointment. Five stars, but I'd give him six if the scale went that high. read more

It was time for me to have an eye test, but I told my doctor I did not want to go to the last person he sent me to, for he was trying to audition his comic skills which did not impress me. I was there to get my eyes tested and get new glasses if needed, not to be entertained. My doctor then recommend I go see Dr. Rheingold. So made the appointment and went in. It seemed a long time there but they did a lot of testing and the results was not that I needed to change my glasses but had cataracts in both eyes. I remember my grandmother had them and in her day there was no cure or treatment and she was pretty much blind. That concerned me, but he explained everything to me and then I was ready to go. So went over toe Cedars, had the first eye done. It was a breeze and over time I started to notice the improvement. It went so well the first time I wanted to get the other eye done at the same time, but that was not practical as I have come to realize. You first have to see how the first one went. Then I returned months later for the second and now my eyes are good to go. I recommend this man to anyone who has concerns about their vision, for if there is an answer, this man has one for you. Dr. Warren Reingold, MD, has been my go-to eye specialist since the 1990s. His legacy is impressive too, being one of the first doctors to work with AIDS patients to help prevent vision loss from due to complications. His gentle, bedside manner, along with his helpful staff and office management, takes you through the whole process with as much efficiency and personal attention as if you were at a spa. Since my vision is clear and healthy, I've not needed eye-surgery so far (perhaps because of Dr. Reingold's helpful suggestions for eye care, heh); but if I ever need surgery in the future I hope it would be Dr. Reingold's experience and mastery that performs the operation. I'm a visual artist, so trust and confidence is extremely important with something as serious as my eyes. As an aside, I have a funny story. Dr. Reingold also has a sophisticated eye for high-quality, stylish eye frames, in both reading and sun glasses. I buy all my glasses from his Optometry department. I accidentally left a pair of reading glasses in my windbreaker and ran it through the washing and drying cycles. They emerged unscathed, as if they were made from special material by Marvel Super Hero Labs. Ha. read more

I've been seeing Dr Reingold for over 20 years. 15 years ago he did my lasik surgery in one eye and PRK in the other To this day I still have 20-20 vision and I keep thinking that I will need a touch up, but every year I come in and still have 20-20! Dr. Reingold has also successfully performed lasik on 3 of my own children and both of my brothers I trust Dr. Reingold 100% and travel now from the Bay Area for my appointments. I wouldn't see anyone else. Ever. Recently, I had 'floaters' show up in my eyes. I was a mess! Dr. Reingold immediately fit me into his schedule the next day (which was the soonest I could fly in), then he saw me for the next three weeks in a row to monitor my retina , and then another final visit. Dr. Reingold treats my family and I like we are his top priority. I absolutely love his and his staff's professionalism. Rhonda in the optical department is amazing and whatever I'm looking for in sunglasses or reading glasses she's always available. My entire family sees Dr. Reingold and we travel from all over to see him. He's absolutely the BEST! read more

This is my first time reviewing a doctor but I am so thrilled with Dr. Reingold that I want to take the time to write about him. I had an eye infection and since I was very worried, the office was willing to fit me in the same day. There was no wait time in the office, and I think it's important to note (in the time of covid19) that how extremely clean everything was: rooms were immaculate, the receptionist wore a mask, gloves, and respected social distancing. Dr. Reingold was so thorough and carefully diagnosed my infection, prescribed me medication, and told me to please call his office any time if my eye does not improve. Given how stressful everything is right now I really appreciated how attentive and reassuring he was. I wish other doctors had the combination of intelligence and bedside manner that Dr. Reingold does! I've had the drops for a few days now and my eye is better, so I am very grateful that he accurately diagnosed the issue. The eye care I've received from Dr. Reingold and his staff has always been exceptional, inspiring confidence, keeping anxieties down and making my office and hospital visits comfortable, often pleasant. One of the things I appreciate most is the copious documentation of my eye conditions and treatment that is routinely kept. The cataract surgeries I underwent within the past several weeks went without a hitch, and I was surprised at how well I could see immediately after awakening from anesthesia. I very much look forward to being fitted for glasses that I expect will improve my vision even further, as well as to further care that will maintain the best vision possible for someone of my age. January 12th was my first day after Dr. Reingold did my second eye surgery. I did not know what I was missing as my eyesight got darker and darker over these past few years. But it didn't occur to me that I was going blind! And when the light and my pretty world got progressively dimmer and dimmer, it affected how I felt about the world emotionally. Bad eyesight made me feel like I was the one who was failing! My career depends on clear eyesight. I'm a professional actor, singer, filmmaker, editor, writer, and teacher. Without clear eyesight, I was destined to lose my lifelong careers. What I did not anticipate was how bright and pretty the world really is and how very much I had missed it.
