For my birthday last year I was gifted the cutest pup ever. As an adult never having a dog I didn't know where to begin when it came to training etc. I decided to take the puppy training class at Petco to get the basic foundation. When Max turned 4 months I decided to take the puppy level 1 class. The course is a 6-week introductory class that focused on socialization, basic behaviors and cues, specifics concerns I had such as potty training, chewing, teething, and more. The trainer was great and taught me positive reinforced techniques that Max got right away. At home we would practice daily for about 10 minutes to reinforce what he learned. Max loved the class and looked forward to going weekly and was very eager to learn. While taking the course we were told that they had puppy play time every Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. I began taking Max weekly for the 30 minute free playtime and he loved it. read more

I walked into this location (E.W. Connector) and was greeted by 3 ladies standing at the cash register talking. One of them asked if I needed any help finding anything. I replied "no I was just browsing". There was no reply back!! I was expecting to hear "Well we are here if you need us or Ok just let us know". Anything would have been better than silence!! So I'm continued on and I went to the register to purchase a King Twist Boa Teaser for my cat. This has a long handle with feathers on it. So, after I paid I noticed she didn't bag my item so I asked if it was ok to have a bag. The lady replied Well we are going to START charging for bags but here you go. I was shocked like WOW I can't believe this so I said OK thanks for letting me know I will be sure to tell my co workers at the grooming salon I work at and let my Instagram/FB friends know as well. I felt some type of way after this poor customer service. I thought to myself I wonder if I was a different race/culture would I have been treated the same way. I highly doubt it!!! It made me feel as if they didn't want my business so don't come back. I called the Corporate office to ask about this policy and I was told No she never heard of this policy so I filed a complaint. I then called and spoke with the Manager. Now I found it interesting that she was more than likely one of the ladies at the counter when I walked in. (she told me she as working that AM) I explained what happened and they Manger said well we do charge for bags they are 10 cents per bag and signs are posted all over the store. I told her I never saw a sign and furthermore she could have just gave me a bag and said next time we will have to charge you 10 cents in the future. The manager then said well Corporate could have changed the policy back to not charging I guess and she wasn't sure??? (now I'm really confused) So she apologized of course and said she will talk with her staff to ensure they are all on same page and how to handle this moving forward. She didn't apologize for nobody responding back after someone asked if I needed help finding anything until after I said mentioned it again to her. I almost felt like she felt that wasn't a big deal but in my eyes its a huge deal. So I say all this to say I will NEVER go back to this store in particular and I might just cut Petco out my life totally because I can shop else where. Once I feel like this I'm done so I just wanted to advise everyone what happened just in case they encountered the same thing. The Corporate office did say they were going to open up a complaint and sent a $5 coupon so at least THEY tried to save a customer. Staff is friendly and good location but I noticed that they increased the price of the dog wash by $5. It's now $20 which is a bit too much.

Just spent nearly 100.00 on dog food in which I spend at Petco every week and couldn't even get a plastic bag to put my items in as they now charge for plastic bags. Won't be shopping here anymore. Just go to pet supply plus down the street by Kroger. read more

I made an appointment for my Yorkie at 1:00pm. Around 3:30 I went to check about how long she had left. The man working said we already gave her a bath but we can't groom her for maybe another hour & a half. I told them I did not have that much time to wait so I would pay for the bath & reschedule. He hands me my dog & a $25 receipt to pay for the bath & it was very obvious my dog had not had a bath at all. He bold face lied & wanted me to pay. The manger was very nonchalant & tried to blame my 4 pound dog for the delay. Do not recommend. They are lairs & deceitful. I will never leave my dog here again read more

On November 5, 2023, I had a very bad experience with veterinarian, Desiree Davis, License number: VET008162 at Petco's- Vetco. On this particular day, after I picked my 42lb. Cane Corso up to put her on the table, Dr. Davis didn't waste anytime to humiliate me and my dog. Dr. Davis' exact words to my dog was, "Who did your ears? They suck!" Then, Dr. Davis asked me if my pups ears were cropped before I bought her. I told Dr. Davis that her comment about my dog was mean and that I didn't think my dog's ears sucked. I also told Dr. Davis that she was being nasty; and that I want to make sure she never treats my dog again. She sarcastically replied and said, "Oh, you won't. I'm from Alabama." When it was time for me to checkout at the counter, I asked for the number to corporate, so that I could file a complaint on Dr. Desiree Davis for her unprofessional behavior. Once again, Dr. Davis was being sarcastic; and at this point having a sense of entitlement, talking to her coworkers, telling them that it was okay that I was calling corporate on her. At no point did Dr. Desiree Davis apologize for her distasteful and inappropriate words. If she is going to make fun of animals and humiliate their owners, she would find another profession. Telling a sweet puppy that her cropped ears suck should have never rolled off her tongue. My dog is sweet, mannerly, and beautiful, so how come those things weren't highlighted instead of telling us that her ears sucked. Dr. Davis is a mean woman and she needs to be reprimanded and sent to sensitivity training for her actions. I hope no other pup or owner have to go through this lady's unkind words and humiliation. read more

I was so excited when this place opened, but have been so disappointed since. On several occasions, I've needed something that was in a locked, glass case and they couldn't find the keys. Twice it was one case that held the Sscat air can refills and today it was for oral flea treatment for my dog. They offered me alternatives, such as a $15 flea shampoo, but I wanted the chewables. I understand the need to keep these items in locked cases, but why on earth would you not have an accountability plan in place? I wouldn't be upset if this only happened once, but this is the 3rd time and it was on a Sunday evening. By the time they realized no one had access to the keys, it was too late to go anywhere else. They really put me in a lurch. I'm sure everything else there is fine, but if you know you need a pricey item, traditionally kept locked, I recommend just going to one of the bigger stores. read more

I am so excited that this store opened in our neighborhood. This is in the same shopping center as the Publix on EW Connector/S Cobb. Think of it as an upscale pet store, but linked with Petco. Here, they don't carry any major store brands, but rather all organic pet food brands and more healthy options for your 4-legged friends. Many similar pet places only have a small selection, but this store is pretty big and the selection is great. They have supplies and foods cats and dogs. They have a pet self-wash station in the back, where for $10, you can give your dog a bath. They also have a nice selection of doggie apparel. I like it, because it's extremely conveniently located and carries all the good pet food that we used to have to drive 10 miles out of our way to get. I would highly recommend coming here. read more

We come here for the natural treats and the dog washing stations. Our big dog doesn't like the bathroom for some reason, so here we are about once a month. The bath is $10, with aprons, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and all the brushes you would need. The staff has always been nice and helpful when we have been there, but we also haven't needed much help. The are somewhat tucked away in the shopping center, but are closest to the grocery store end of the complex. read more

The Young Girl Dog Trainer was Chatty but so difficult to deal with, She talked 90 miles an hour and seemed to be HIGH! Of course I can't prove that but she simply would not listen to me and continued to talk over me and press her opinion on me. Pretty cool place, they have a large selection of a bunch of things. It seems this locations focuses more on "all natural/organic" brands but they do have some of the name brands as well. The self wash area is actually pretty convenient as they provide everything to was your pup. The store itself was clean and the staff was nice. This is the worst place to go for customer service. Once they changed ownership from unleashed the service has become horrible. I came hour before closing to wash my dog and manager said that they close hour early for wash. I've washed my dog as late as 45 min before closing when it was unleashed. I told him I'd make sure I would be done in 30 min and he just didn't budge. They obviously don't about customer service. read more
