Within 2 days, we were back at the clinic because it filled right back up. The Veterinarian never came in to speak with my wife. The vet tech proceeded to tell my wife that the next step would be to sedate the cat and told my wife that they would be placing tubes and stitches in his ear. Because the cat ate earlier, we were told we would have to bring him back another day. We brought him back on Saturday, and they took him from us and told us he would be ready for pick-up later in the day. When we picked him up, he was bandaged and had a cone around his neck. Within a day or two, he had the bandage off his ear and there were no drain tubes or stitches. We called the clinic, and they stated that he was sedated, ear lanced, and steroid injected and this was the treatment plan my wife signed off on. 1) When the vet tech stated they would be putting him under anesthesia, my wife asked if they were putting drain tubes and stitches and the vet tech said yes. 2) We were told that my wife signed off on his treatment plan and that she was not told about tubing and stitched and yet we were sent a copy of the treatment plan, NO signatures, NO initials..Nothing. 3) First time we took him, no anesthesia, nothing..they drained the fluid in his ear with needle. Second time he went in because the ear filled back up, they told us that the sedated him because the had to lance the ear, and yet the treatment plan they sent that the claimed my wife signed off on states that they again drained with a needle. Why the sedation again? they did not have to sedate the first time when they drained with a needle.

But we recently went to the Atlanta Humane Society to adopt a second cat so our other cat wouldn't be alone. She's very social, and we figured she'd like a friend. We took the new cat here, also because they have a relationship with the Atlanta Humane Society where we can use the "Health Certificate" for a free checkup for any possible items listed on the sheet they may not have caught (but usually 99% do). The new cat did well and we got her nails trimmed as well. We came here so we could also introduce the new and other cat to each other today. Scared, lol wish us luck . Definitely love this place so much

Luv My Pet is a mobile clinic where it provides affordable pet vaccinations for dogs, cats, and…read moreother pets in Petco stores. They were founded back in '76 and are available in about 20 states. State-licensed vets administer vaccinations and other vet services on weeknights and weekends at low-costs and at convenient times (you just type in your zip code and see which nearest Petco location will have the clinic make an appearance; the dates and times will be listed). There are no office visit fees, and most core vaccines/combo packs are less than $60. For pups, they offer: +a 'Puppy Pack' (that includes the 5 or 6 in 1 (distemper/parvo), Corona, Bordetella, Round/Hookworm Dewormer) +a 'Dog Pack' (a rabies shot, 6 or 6 in 1 (distemper/parvo) and Bordetella) +a 'Super Dog Pack' (5 or 6 in 1 (distemper/parvo, Bordetella, a heartworm test, and a heartworm & tick disease (4DX) test) +a 'Superior Dog Pack' (5 or 6 in 1 (distemper/parvo), Bordetella, heartworm & tick disease (4DX) test, and a fecal test). For kittens/cats, they offer: +a 'Kitten Pack' (3 in 1 (distemper combo), feline leukemia vaccination, Round/Hookworm dewormer) +'Super Kitten Pack' (in addition to the 'Kitten Pack,' a Felv/FIV/Heartworm test is added) +a 'Cat Pack' (a rabies shot, 3 in 1 distemper combo, and the feline leukemia vaccination), and a 'Super Cat Pack' (a rabies shot, 3 in 1 distemper combo, feline leukemia vaccination, and a Felv/FIV/Heartworm test). You can also opt to get individual services for the vaccinations (DHPP, DHPP4L, Rabies (just make sure you bring your previous rabies tag/receipt/hospital docs with you), Leptospirosis, Lyme, Canine Influenza Vaccine, a heartworm test, a fecal test (you fill out a self-addressed postcard where the lab will send you the results; you bring the fecal testing kit back home with you where you put in a specific-sized stool sample in the small container provided that has liquid in it; the S&H is already paid for, so you just drop it off at any mailbox - very convenient!), microchipping (that includes a lifetime registration), tapeworm/round/hookworm dewormers, etc.). There are also heartworm and flea & tick pet medications and preventatives available for you to purchase at a lower cost. It's best if you go early as there is quite a long line, but it usually moves quickly as it's pretty systematic; one of the vet techs will have you fill out basic information on a clipboard; you check which services you want; you go into their 'mobile clinic' that's in a minivan, get seen by the vet and his/her assistants, have your pet receive the services, can squeeze in quick questions, come back out, make your way back into the Petco store, pay, get a receipt, and go on your merry way. If your your pet is due for a vaccine and/or your vet is unavailable on the weekends (and you don't want to pay for an office visit and an overpriced vaccination), check out Luv My Pet - they're quite trustworthy, and your wallet (and your pet) will thank you for being responsible :D

Cheapest vaccines out there, especially three year rabies which another vet tried to charge me…read more$60.00 for. Reason they did not get 5 stars: I prefer to only do single vaccines to a) minimize the reaction risk to the vaccine and b.) so I know what vaccine he/she reacted to if they do react. They do not carry single vaccines. Smallest you can go is a 5 in 1, which at least gets rid of the lepto, but that still leaves three I don't want my dog vaccinated for, especially annually now that the AAHA has recommended protocol be three years for most vaccines. Clinics and this is all clinics, not just this one, lack the ability to form a long term bond. I would much prefer to foot a bigger bill but have a vet I know I can trust and respect. But I also go against all of the norms out there for dog care and that kind of vet isn't easy to come by. Again, the convenience is there, the price isn't beatable by anyone else I know having clinics, but the clinics don't provide the relationship a good vet can. So for now they hold the majority of my dogs over, but the clinic rounds are not a long term solution for my dogs care, especially with one dog reacting to vaccines.

Both of my cats have been very sick, after each dental with Dr. Pope, their breath still smelled rancid and that should have been my first clue. If you take your pets to this clinic to save money, don't. It will cost you thousands of dollars later in proper vet care. I have reported this practice and Dr. Pope to the DVM association and hope he loses his right to care for any more animals. My pets are like family and apparently, they do not value my family. It took 15 minutes, as told to me by a Value Vet employee, to do the dental cleanings for $450 per pet. If you want to save money , find a better veterinarian. This practice lacks the care and compassion required to properly care for anyone's animal. Also I would like to add, Jackson had 7 teeth and 5 roots pulled. Miley is having 5 teeth pulled. This kind of dental decay, puss, dental disease and rotting teeth does not happen over the course of a year. Jackson's front jaw bone is loose due to the dental decay so tell me again how you did your jobs a year ago? We have all of the dental records transferred from your practice to my new, competent Veterinarian practice and she even stated that this kind of puss, decay and dental disease was in existence a year ago and Dr. Pope was just too lazy to pull the teeth since it is more complex to pull a cat's teeth. It requires time and patience, neither of which can be performed in 15 minutes. If you stand behind Dr. Terald Lee Pope, then you care just about as much about the well-being of animals as Dr. Pope does. These are our babies, we expect the best care to the best of your ability. He took an oath to do no harm or not leave them in a state of harm that would put them in so much pain later that they cannot even eat their own food. I am certainly not the first nor will be the last that complains about this Veterinarian. The fact that you refuse to reimburse me shows, once again, you do not care about the well-being of my animals or my financial concerns. I spent $900 for both cats at your practice, $1400 on Jackson at the new Vet and I am spending another $1674 on Miley next month when they can fit her in. Poor baby is in so much pain that I took money out of my 401K to care for her. Tell me how this is not Dr. Terald Lee Pope's fault and Value Vet for employing his services?
