RUN AWAY, DO NOT GO HERE... My dog may have died while I waited 5 hours May 31. We arrived at 9:30 pm and left at 2:30 in the morning. At 2 am, we were finally seen by the vet, Kelli for 5 minutes she did a quick eval and told us to wait again and billed $130. Our small, senior dog was thrown onto the concrete when an accident happened with our golf cart. The woman at the front desk was short and rude and had no compassion. I held my small dog in my arms and asked about when we could see a vet. She said about an hour. It was 5 hours and when we repeated asked for time updates she was again rude and not helpful, saying she was busy.

My injured beagle after attacked by a pittbul the treatment he received was so unfair and heartless in appropriate the vet should be fire.

I have had other pets in those years unfortunately had to put down but went to another vet because though would be a reminder if at my vet. Well let me tell you we had to put our Ridge to sleep. We were devastated of course. But the young man who assisted us was so kind and extremely helpful. Then came in Dr Taylor well she was so extremely caring and explained everything to us. She helped a extremely hard situation be alot easier. I love my vet but even more now in those very hard moments they were amazing. Cant thank them enough. When one of these treasured 'kids' gets sick, our world may seem to come to a crashing halt. OUR world came to a crashing halt recently when one of our 4 Siamese cats became gravely ill. His name is Mizzou. The alpha male of the others, which are 2 brothers and his nephew. Mizzou started acting so differently than normal. In rapid succession this regal animal became very, very sick. WE'D had one previous experience with Dr Ned and the folks at Three Oaks. That was with KeeWee, our Quaker Parrot. That visit proved to be a real eye-opener. What we saw in Dr Ned was a truly loving & caring man of in-depth medical skill. DR NED is actually a 'bird whisperer'. Having never met KeeWee before, he simply took this oft testy bird in his hands and began to assess her. She was relaxed and let out not one squawk! WE could NOT believe our eyes! She totally trusted this man and now so did we. SO, it was natural to bring our incredible Mizzou to Dr Ned for treatment. What followed was just over two weeks of tests, meds and other procedures. Mizzou was NOT responding much, or favorably. HAVING worked in Emergency Medical Services myself, I was keenly aware of some of the signs that Mizzou was exhibiting. This also made it easier for me to confer with Dr Ned AND his very capable associate Dr Taylor on critical points and possible treatments. MUCH consideration was made to transfer Mizzou to a top notch Veterinary Hospital that comes highly regarded. BUT, the tunnel of options narrowed as we began to see less and less light at the end of Mizzou's tunnel. He was having serious neurological issues paired with some tremendous biological ones. Issues that are likely NON-reversible. THE worst day of our lives... The day the most difficult decision EVER had to be made. Knowing in our hearts that this was the ONLY right choice, it was time to say Goodbye to this beautiful loving boy. And so, our Mizzou crossed that fabled Rainbow Bridge..... WITH a million thank you's our family cannot convey our expression of gratitude to Dr Ned, Dr Taylor and the entire staff at Three Oaks Veterinary! I'd name EACH and EVERY one of the staff but I'd feel horrible IF I left anyone out! YOU guys know who you are and what YOU did! AND we so believe in YOU. All. THE love, compassion & giving spirit coupled with top notch medical capabilities has permanently endeared the family at Three Oaks to our family. WE love you all...

Although I was here for several hours 12:30-6am, my cat was cared for and gently handled the whole time. They were relatively quick with the tests they ran, and everyone was knowledgable and extremely kind. They do xrays on site and are able to triage several pets at one time. There are at least 3 doctors I saw, and so many vet techs who seem to love what they do. I really appreciate all that was done for my cat. I attached my bill as well to my review. Although kind of expensive, it is worth it to have my cat be alive and well. They did give me a discount, again, they were very kind. Base visit is $180 and anything additional will be added in a quote they will show you before more care is applied to your pet. They see cats and dogs, as well as other animals and exotic animals such as birds/rabbits/bearded dragons/etc. I would definitely come back here if my cats were in distress.

The staff appear to receive training solely from the owners, with an emphasis on administrative client-processing procedures rather than comprehensive clinical assessment and patient prioritization. When presenting with an urgent medical issue, a wait exceeding one hour should not be acceptable--particularly while clinic personnel remain seated, engaged in personal cell-phone conversations, and otherwise unavailable to address triage needs. In this instance, a diagnosis was issued and a charge of $1,500 proposed before a thorough physical evaluation of my dog had been completed. Subsequent examination by another veterinarian confirmed that the initial diagnosis was incorrect and that the treatment provided was inadequate. I was therefore required to return to your facility to obtain a refund. There is a clear need for more robust clinical training focused on accurate patient assessment and condition evaluation prior to the formulation of any treatment plan or financial proposal. Prioritizing proper medical evaluation over rapid billing would better serve both patients and clients.

We arrived at VEG ER believing our baby girl, Joy, a 13 year old shih tzu, was having an allergic…read morereaction to a vaccine. Her face was swollen, she was uncomfortable, and we were deeply worried. Dr. Jamie Davison conducted a thorough evaluation and helped us understand that Joy may have been reacting to an insect bite. During her examination, she also identified fluid in Joy's uterus, raising concern for pyometra. For those unfamiliar, pyometra is a life threatening uterine infection that can lead to sepsis, organ failure, and sudden death if not treated promptly. I will be honest. Given how frequently "lifestyle treatments" are pushed in veterinary medicine today, I was cautious and protective. We were worried about both the severity of the diagnosis and the cost and risks of surgery. I also considered seeking a second opinion. Dr. Davison did not rush us. She walked us through every step, from bloodwork to ultrasound findings, explaining what she was seeing and why it mattered. She earned our trust gradually and professionally. When we made the decision to operate, her attention to detail stood out. She avoided the large external stitches we have seen in the past, and when prescribing medication, she remembered that I had mentioned Joy does not swallow pills and provided liquid medication instead. Those small considerations made a meaningful difference in her recovery. Further testing of Joy's uterus after surgery confirmed tumors. Removing them likely prevented a catastrophic outcome. What began as a suspected allergic reaction became a life saving intervention. It has been a week, and Joy is steadily returning to her loving, spirited self. If it were not for Dr. Davison's thorough examination and clinical judgment, we might not have discovered the underlying condition in time. We are deeply grateful to Dr. Davison and the entire VEG ER team working that night, including nurse Loni, assistant Fred, and CEC Kalyn. Their professionalism, clarity, and compassion made all the difference.

I don't usually share personal stuff like this, but I'm making this post for one reason only. If you ever have an emergency with your pet, go to VEG ER for Pets. When we were trying to find a vet to perform the surgery, our VEG doctor sat there and personally called vet after vet to get someone to fit us in. And when we finally found the right place, she stayed on the phone with the surgeon and fully briefed him on Charlie's condition so there was not a single gap in his care. They kept us informed, comforted, and confident that our boy was in the best hands. He made it through surgery like a champ and finally came home but after we got him settled, his temperature dropped and we had to rush him back to VEG. They immediately took him in, warmed him, ran an ultrasound to make sure nothing was wrong, monitored him until he was stable... and didn't charge us a dime. Because of how long this whole process was, and having to go back again, we saw three different doctors at VEG, and every single one of them treated Charlie (and us) with the exact same level of urgency, compassion, and kindness. That consistency in care meant everything to us. Charlie is home now, snuggled in blankets, eating, and slowly getting stronger! If you ever face an emergency with your fur baby, VEG is the place to go. We are beyond grateful and will recommend them to anyone and everyone.
