Thank God for Animal Eye Associates! The doctor has zero personality but at least the receptionist was personable. On the flip side, the doctor is very knowledgable.

I was just wondering if anyone had a price range for cataract surgery? I called them and they can't give out that information.

On the way to the hospital, he pulled it out with his teeth. I brought the nail into the hospital with us. During the visit, an exam lasting roughly 10 minutes was performed. When my dog was returned to me, I was asked whether the injured paw was the left one. I clarified it was the right paw. I was told that all paws had been checked and that no puncture wound could be located, though antibiotics and pain medication were prescribed as a preventative measure. They said he likely didn't step on it which was invalidating given that I saw him with it embedded in his paw. When I returned home I was able to immediately locate the injured area between the paw pads. Rowan remained in significant pain and distress that evening and required additional medication. The following morning my regular veterinarian examined him and documented swelling, inflammation, and trauma in that same paw. He was prescribed more medicine to manage his pain. My veterinarian explained that injuries from nails can puncture the paw and seal quickly due to surrounding inflammation, making the opening difficult to see hours later. Because the source of the injury was not identified during the exam despite being present, I requested a refund of the exam fee. The clinic declined. Emergency clinics are busy and I understand that, but missing the injury I came in for and then refusing to reconsider the charge was disappointing and concerning.

I can't recall everyone's names over the nearly 8 years we've been going to Hillside, but I've never felt anything but welcomed and cared for by the entire staff. Thank you for all you do!

The exam room we were in today also had a few jars of snacks for pups too which was really thoughtful. And how cute are the doors with the little glassed in areas for your pet to peek out into the lobby? All in all, a fantastic first visit today. We loved how Dr. Kelly and Meagan were so friendly and approachable. Truly listened to our concerns and were also able to put us, and Benny, at ease. Benny left a happy pup and we look forward to future visits at Metrovet with their lovely staff. P.S., they also have a drink and snack station in the lobby with fruit snacks, granola bars, water, coffee, AND juice. So thoughtful and much appreciated. Prices were very reasonable with a fecal exam for $39 and $75 for the visit.

As someone from the medical field, I called the vet and asked if they had availability for the day and if they could squeeze my dog in on that same day to get checked immediately due to his symptoms. The staff at the veterinary clinic were very attentive and caring towards my dog, and the visit lasted about 1.5 hours. During that time, my dog underwent an X-ray, blood work, and IV infusion. Fortunately, the diagnostic testing showed that everything was fine, and we just did preventative treatment. However, it is essential to note that the bill for the visit was expensive. If you are trying to budget your vet visit, there may be better places to go. However, since I have insurance for my dog, I usually go to locations that provide extra care. In conclusion, this clinic is a good option if you are looking for a veterinary clinic that provides thorough and attentive care for your pet.
