We apparently tracked in fleas from outside where many dogs are walked close to our door, because our inside cat of several years suddenly had fleas, never seen before. Despite treating the cat directly with topical and oral meds, we kept finding them, along with what looked like eggs, when using a flea comb. I was horrified and after researching learned we needed to treat the environment. Matt explained the type of products they would use and what to expect, and the tech was great about communicating when on the way about his arrival time . We were still seeing a couple fleas and eggs a few days later and although I know the cycle can take a few weeks to break I was concerned, as some areas had not been treated. I contacted the office and they were responsive and courteous. Matt reached out with some info and they had the tech return to both retreat with another product and treat some new areas. I know that my stress was showing (having to wash every area rug, blanket, throw, pillow, sheet, anything fabric in hot water and dry it on high to kill the eggs and I was doing laundry round the clock) but the office, Matt and the tech remained patient and empathetic and never made me feel like I was a bother. After the second treatment we haven't seen any further evidence of fleas - but if we did, I know the service is guaranteed. Matt's Pest provided prompt, courteous, professional and effective service. I called back, and the next representative asked me if I knew the square footage of my home. When I told her (Taylor) the size of my home, she replied, "That cannot be right. You will have to speak with my Manager." As if she could not believe my answer. Finally, when I spoke with her manager, the manager told me that I first need to pay $25 for a home inspection, and then ONLY they will be able to provide me with a quote. I informed the manager that I have a new home, and already have a current termite control/station at the home. She insists that it is a company policy before they provide a quote. This is not the way to earn business. The company must reevaluate its policies and business processes.
