They lead the public to believe they are a no kill except for extreme behavior or illness…read more This is a lie. They kill dogs if they don't move out of their near empty kennels fast enough. Maggie was a chocolate lab living on the streets of Richlandtown Pa 2 years, pretty much since birth. She was neglected and abandoned by her owner. ACO Nikki Thompson, although being aware of her and 2 others, left them live having to dig through neighbors trash for food. The people living near these dogs, grew tired from watching them suffer so they got help from a local trapping team and captured Maggie. A rescue and a foster home waited for Nikki Thompson to at least perform this end of her job, get all forms in order so Maggie could start living as a loved dog, never needing to scrounge trash cans for food again. Instead, the BCSPCA couldn't be bothered to do what they tell the public they are there for- providing a safe haven for stray & unwanted animals providing them shelter until a home is found. Instead after a 3 week stay, they killed her. No call to the folks waiting to take her home. Just ended her life. Like it never ever mattered. This place does nothing but LIE to the public and its donors. The money people donate pays salaries- it doesn't assist in helping save animals. They need new leadership from top to bottom, including the ACO Nikki Thompson , who can't seem to handle doing the job the donors are paying her to do,

I brought my dog for a meet and greet before adopting one of their dogs. The lady assisting us…read moreseemed to be determined to not make it work, she disparaged my dog's breed and said female female dog are the most difficult. She put a leash on my dog and just walked out of the room with her, leaving me running behind her to wonder where in the heck she was taking my dog. Then proceeded to do meet and greet with the middle of the parking lot on a hot summer day. She would not let me control my dog and then says it wont work because my dog is uncontrollably excited and jumping and trying to play with the other dog. Like repeatedly "no this wont work", saying my dog would "overwhelm the other dog and lead her to exhaustion", letting her try to play with the other dog, saying how awful this is...but letting this go on for several minutes. Left and immediately connected with a breeder and bought home a puppy whom my current dog quickly learned boundaries with. The kicker is, the staff the previous day would have allowed us to bring the dog home that day but I thought the responsible thing was to do a meet and greet. But they kept the deposit we left to hold the dog. Nice little scam I suppose.

Starr Chumard from Lorenzo's Dog Training Team helped us with our previously deviant goldendoodle,…read moreChewbacca. He would spend hours at a time standing in our living room barking at us and had us at wits end. He would pick and choose when he wanted to listen and when he wanted to do his own thing, and he was so terrified/defensive of other dogs, we worried whenever we took him out where other dogs would be. Now, Chewbacca is a top-notch gentleman. Starr not only taught us and Chewy lots of new commands, more importantly she taught us how to handle him and how to take the lead. Chewy has not only completely transformed in listening to us, but he is also now substantially more comfortable around dogs he doesn't know - something we never believed would happen. What Start was able to teach us and Chewy was absolutely life changing for all of us - thank you Starr!

Starr has been a godsend! There is so much to be said about how amazing this training has been for…read moremy boys. I always thought that my boys listened well. They've always been good boys. I had no idea just how much better they could be. Starr has brought us a much more relaxed home and for that I am eternally grateful. A couple ways our life has changed: Everytime I had my windows or doors open my boys would bark at the slightest noise whether it be a car, person, or their shadow. I am now able to sleep with my windows open for the first time in 6 years. My neighbors can be outside and I can have my doors open and my boys no longer bark incessantly. I can now sit on my porch with my boys and enjoy my neighborhood and evenings without my boys going crazy and trying to run all over. My boy Cache used to act like a mongrel walking on a leash. We were unable to take him anywhere. He's literally torn pads on his feet trying to get into the vets office from pulling so hard. Since the training, I am able to walk Cache into the vet, get a weight on him by myself, and Cache will actually lay down and wait to be seen. We used to have to wait in the car and carry him in. We recently brought the boys out for icecream and multiple people have commented on just how well behaved they are. A couple months ago we would have never heard that! In January my boys had a difference of opinion about the ownership of a bone and my boy Damian had bit my Cache. Cache understandably had some trust issues. I felt as though I was walking on eggshells thinking they were going to have continual issues. Starr's training has brought my boys back together and have strengthened their bond with not only me and my husband but also with each other. They are starting to play and cuddle with each other again. "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do."- Edward Everett Hale Starr's training works! My whole house is much calmer and I have a renewed confidence in my boys and also myself. I feel much more in control. Training was hard work and dedication but my boys are worth it! Thanks to Starr's training my heart is full of happiness with all of the success we have achieved and no words can truly express just how grateful I am...
