We had such a great experience at Anita's Kitchen! Our waiter was incredibly attentive, and the chips and salsa were fantastic. I ordered one chicken enchilada and one beef enchilada, but received one chicken and one cheese. Honestly, I wasn't disappointed at all because they were both fantastic. I just had my heart set on the extra protein! The sour cream sauce on the enchiladas is to die for! So flavorful and delicious. The only thing we didn't love was the cheese dip; it was a little bland for our taste. One thing worth mentioning is that it was pretty warm inside the restaurant. Both my husband and I were sweating throughout our meal. I completely understand that it's hot outside, but the temperature inside made it a little difficult to fully enjoy the experience. Very clean place, including bathrooms, with several smiling servers being attentive. Location directly in the corner of 1187 at Cleburne tollway. Can approach from north or east or west without paying for the tollway. Plenty of parking, at the right end of a strip shopping center with a good header sign. Didn't find out who Anita was, but her place is good! Try it, you'll like it, and be pleased for the lower prices than other Mexican restaurants. read more

Had such a great lunch at Anita Tex Mex Kitchen! Everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the lunch special -- 2 enchiladas for only $9.00 (such an amazing deal!). I got one beef enchilada topped with rich, flavorful chili con carne and one cheese enchilada covered in creamy queso. Both were perfectly seasoned and tasted homemade. I also added a crispy beef taco, and it was crunchy, fresh, and packed with flavor. The sweet tea was fantastic too -- ice cold and perfectly brewed. The service was friendly and attentive, and the portions were generous for the price. You truly can't beat the quality and value here. I'll definitely be coming back again soon! read more

This place is definitely a place to return to. Our first time here and everything was excellent, dinning area is open and clean. Staff were very friendly, especially our waitress Maria. This place is soooo much cuter than I expected it to be! It's very spacious inside and very clean. The wait staff is so friendly and welcoming when you walk in. The booths are actually really comfortable, I know that's such a weird thing to comment but the seats were COMFY. I ordered the quesabirria tacos and they were delish! I am a cilantro hater, I wish I liked it but I just do not and they were very quick to accommodate my "no cilantro" preference. Which is super appreciated, I'll eat it but I'd rather not LOL. My husband ordered the shrimp cocktail, it was fresh! Both of my kids got enchiladas and they were hot and delicious. Everything was soooo good. The ONLY thing I'd change, is it was HOT in there, we were sweating - and there was a wait for the restrooms since it's just single bathrooms for each gender. We went to Anita's Kitchen for the first time this past Friday. It was medium busy-nothing to write home about. The service we had was brutal. We saw our server probably 3 times and just had a very strange experience with her. Everyone was nice though, I certainly won't discount that. The chips are whatever, but the queso is interesting. We got the queso with meat and it's out of the can, but the meat made it edible. We then got beef enchiladas with sour cream, chili, and queso. The sour cream enchilada was amazing. The queso and chili enchiladas were bad. Very. It's hard to explain why they were so different. It's like our meat was fresher. The mexican rice was strange, but the refried beans were fire I must say. Diet cokes were flat and the restaurant was hot. It's bright and vibrant but very hot. The menu is sooooo strange. Patty melt burritos, ceviche, burgers, etc. It's very much a twist of tex mex and very random american food creations. There was also not a hispanic person in there eating, take that how you want. This restaurant is very new and it was our first time there. The service was okay. The chicken enchiladas with the green sauce were very good. The food appears to be very fresh. Second visit, beef enchiladas with two different types of red sauce, and both were very good. We asked for samples of the enchilada sauces before ordering and they were very happy to accommodate us. Third visit was a hamburger to go. The hamburger was large the hamburger patty was nice and thick however it was overcooked. We were excited when this restaurant finally opened as we needed a good Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. We will go back. read more
