He returned calls, answered emails, and never left me feeling that he was in it for only my money. Out of 5 other vendors that I reached out to, Chris was the only one that checked off all of the boxes. Every other vendor I spoke with mentioned their minimum price, right off the bat, not Chris, he wanted to know what the vibe was, what flower we liked, and what we thought we wanted to spend. I thought he and his team would do great work, but he did so much more - he made the venue look magical. As my daughter and my new son-in-law knelt at the altar, I could not help but notice how beautiful the flowers he provided in the chapel were. I visited Gilmore's Flower shop in East Providence RI over the weekend and I left so very…read moredisappointed. Let me say that I do understand it was the day before Mother's Day but there was only 2 other customers in the store when I was there. An employee came over and asked if we had been helped yet. We told her "no, we are waiting for assistance " she went to the back and came out with another woman who asked what we needed. I told her we were there to order a bridal bouquet. The second woman told me " I don't have anyone who can talk to you, you will have to come back another day". I have never felt so unvalued as a customer from a business as I did that day. No one could take 10 minutes to ask what exactly I needed. (I know it was 10 minutes because I timed the visit to a different florist who took the time to speak to me and it took 10 minutes to choose the flowers I liked and to pay her for them.) So my experience at Gilmore's was not good in any way that day. I specifically chose Gilmore's because I want to support local businesses as much as I can, but it seemed like while they were important to me, my business was not important enough to take a few minutes to talk to me.
