I had an accident with my glasses that popped a lense and destroyed one of the nose guards. I stopped in prepared to pay for them to restore them to working condition. Initially, when I was first seen, Dr. Anklin saw symptoms in my eyes, that caused urgent concern. He referred me to a retinal specialist, and I've been receiving treatment for vitreous hemorrhaging since then. If it weren't for Dr. Anklin seeing and acting on this immediately, I could have lost my eyesight. Instead, both eyes are doing well. The best part, I can see and no more spots in my vision! I was happy with the service I received but the problem started with whomever does their billing billed it as a medical visit and not for the check up and new prescription for glasses which is what I asked for when I made the appointment. Because I mentioned to him I had had laser surgery, which he had nothing to do with and this was my first visit. So I guess be careful what you say. My appointment was coveted by insurance which I owed nothing on but because it was billed wrong I am now stuck for a bill of $45. I will not be going back to them. read more

Outstanding doctor and staff. Before coming to Anklin Eye Care, even very fine optometry places were unable to get my difficult prescription just right. Dr. Anklin is the first eye doctor in at least ten years to get my prescription perfect the first time. Plus all of the other staff members are exceptionally professional and patient--focused on getting your glasses just right.
