Dr. Carder is an expert in how neurological conditions affect optometry. She did 2 days worth of testing on me to make sure she could recommend an accurate prescription. After seeing her, that's where things fell apart. I was recommended neurolens, and I asked about getting a tint or transitions. They said they would call the manufacturer and let me know, so i left without ordering the lens. Now the headache started. Me calling them. Waiting on hold. Realizing the person I need is at a different location. (They have locations in Saline and Chelsea.) Calling the other location. Waiting on hold. Leaving a message. Repeat. Repeat. Finally get a call back, and we cement my neurolense with transactions xtractive. But for some reason they can't order them that day? Don't worry, we will call you on Wed. Nope. And now I repeat the process. Anyway, I decided to go pick up my glasses without ordering the new prescription from them. That wasn't easy either (even though i called in advance), and the receptionist made me wait while she checked our other people instead of just handing me my glasses back.

We always enjoy our annual visits, as the place has a light and upbeat vibe. They have a huge selection of frames and different options. I switch off from regular glasses, to prescription sunglasses year to year. They have the lastest equipment and don't have to dilate your eyes with sticky drops to complete a full exam. They offer a warranty on your lens for $20. No questions asked, they'll replace them. We'll worth the $ especially when you have kids. Doesn't cover the frames though. Plenty of parking right outside the door, along M52. They give you eyeglasses cleaning solution and a cloth with every order. Free refills when you bring in your empty bottle too. Super stellar business. We've been long time customers and will be in the future.

The worst was my right eye which was 35 eye pressure and optic nerve damage. The left also had glaucoma. She referred me to Dr. Gago, specialist, and with two kinds of drops and laser treatments brought by eye pressure down to 20 and below. However, the damage was done. My eyes have been stable but I am afraid to have the necessary surgery which I can no longer put off. Hopefully she has learned from her mistakes as a Doctor but I would think twice about getting her as your doctor.

She also helped me find glasses and contacts that would fit with my lifestyle and sensory sensitivities. The staff were excellent as well at every point of the process. I didn't think the visit would be covered by health insurance, and they checked anyhow and informed me that it would be. The staff who helped me pick out glasses was very helpful. This is the first time I'm looking forward to wearing a pair of glasses (which is saying a lot as someone who's vehemently hated glasses). I'm so glad I found them!

The optometrist, Dr J Dreslinski, is likely the most high energy, passionate, and willing-to-explain-things optometrist that I have personally ever seen. My daughter, 8, felt comfortable the whole time. Their frames selection is good, on the pricey side. We unfortunately have to pay for appt, frames & lenses out of pocket and were relieved that they offer a payment plan.
