Oh, I don't even know where to start with these guys. My car got police impounded for 38 days. The cops released it. They called me telling me I owed them $1800 home can't afford it. I would've picked the car up the first day they called me back they said 1000 bucks I said OK well can I see the car run? didn't wanna let me see the car run, no deal. so I tell him I wanna get my belongings out of the car. He tells me I'm not allowed to have my belongings until I make a payment. These guys are crooked. Don't deal with them. karma is coming! Hit up rebound towing& recovery. Meanwhile, this whole 38 days they've been starting my car And moving it around their lot and then the last week they had it locked up in their garage. I can almost guarantee something They damaged it or sold parts off of it and now I wanna tell me the full price over 2,000 This has been a shady deal since the beginning with Northern regional Police Department York county The police impounded my vehicle for that long because they couldn't write anybody no tickets. My husband was stuck on the road, we were told they would take 20 minutes to come out and replace our tire at their referral place and we were more than pleased. 20 minutes pass by... nor the driver or business picking up our calls and then they BLOCKED US! So not only did we waste time waiting on them but now we have to start the clock over waiting on another tow truck. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND. If I could give this zero stars I would! I don't know even where to begin, because I am so absolutely disgusted with this entire situation. March 4, 2019 I was in a car accident missing a pond by nearly inches. Ankney's Towing & Auto Repair-Salvage LLC, owned by Shawn Ankney, towed my car from the scene. While at the scene instead of cutting the fence at the nose of my vehicle so he could pull the car straight out, he cut it towards the back... forcing him to have to turn my vehicle into the water to get it through the fence & onto the rollback. He for whatever reason submerged the tail end of my vehicle multiple times into the water. Once he got the car onto the roll back, he drug it up the bed half on half off the truck causing more damage to the vehicle. Once the vehicle was completely on the truck I asked him why he was leaving my vehicle half on half off the truck and he said if I wanted him to take it off and put it back on correctly he would charge me more money to do so. Then I asked him to please make sure the driver-side window was put up in the car, so there wouldn't be anymore damage created. The next day after he towed it, I met him at his shop to clean my car out and to discuss what was next with the vehicle, because I had a friend from school who was going to tow the car to his shop and fix it there. My driver-side window was still down, and my car was being stored outside in his front grass. It had flurried overnight, and I told him that it was now even worse inside the vehicle, and to please take care of the window. He said he would charge the battery so he could roll-up the window, and he would shop-vac all of the wetness out of my vehicle, so it wouldn't cause anymore damage. Then, Shawn practically begged me to keep my car there, and told me if I did he would only charge me $70 for the tow bill vs $160 if I towed it out of there. (even though he has an ad that says he does free towing up to 10 miles as long as you allow him to work on your car after your accident. My accident was 4.5 miles from his shop!) So, I then decided to leave my vehicle there. He told me as long as I bought the parts myself, he would charge me $35 an hour for labor. I bought all of the parts he told me I needed and had them sent there. Within two weeks, all of my parts arrived an I expected the car to be done soon, due to the fact that it had minor damage. Starting in April when I started not to hear from him, I began calling him and texting him a few times a week asking when my vehicle would be finished. He continued to give me the run around, and told me to call him at a later date or time. Late-April comes and he the calls me and tells me the car needs more parts. THATS ALMOST TWO MONTHS LATER. So even though I was starting to get annoyed, I bought the extra parts and sent them there. Fast forward to almost FOUR MONTHS LATER. The only thing completed on my car was the windshield. & now mold from literally front to back, top to bottom due to water damage from leaving the windows down in my vehicle while storing it outside, and dunking it in the water. I was forced to pay a bill of $500, and my car is destroyed & is going to cost me thousands to fix. Might I add that when I arrived to pick my vehicle up, he immediately got in my face screaming at me.. he would also call me names on the phone and yell at me & then would hang up and not accept my calls. He didn't even have all of the parts I ordered and had sent there, and I even had proof that I attempted to show him, that he signed for the parts. He obviously wanted no parts of hearing me out for that though. He kicked me off of his property, forcing me to call the police to have him release my car. When the police officer arrived, & saw the condition of my car his mouth literally dropped, & he gave me multiple resources to help me sue this guy, along with making a detailed police report and giving me his name, badge number, & contact info. This business is a complete CROOK. I'm so disgusted that someone could take advantage of me and my children the way he did. I have reported him to the Better Business Borough, the Attorney General, The Insurance Commissioner, and I WILL be suing him. So please, if you're smart, say farrrr away from this place, because my car is now in worse condition than when he arrived to tow it. read more
