I've been to 50 classes now and remain committed to Nicole and Eugene as instructors. They're extremely attentive to adjustments and preventing injury. I felt more rehabilitation in my ankles and back than I did in traditional physical therapy with heavy weight lifting and cardio. My body is more toned and I don't leave classes feeling strained or hurt like I did in physical therapy and self led workouts. The classes are challenging but not painful. Wow Pretty excited…read more Started here in Mid December and wanted to get some solid experience before my review Equipment 5/5 Bathroom 5/5 (clean, huge and you can change if needed) Location 5/5 Cleaning 4/5 while group folks clean at end of class and privates the instructors do but it seems like a lot of hair/etc collects under machines Parking is plentiful except on street cleaning day and better between 8-1pm I started my journey as a green horn in Pilates as in never tried 1 movement before walking through these doors. Pilates was suggested from my rheumatologist and my physical therapist. Started with some entry level group classes and found i loved them but also knew I need more 1 on 1 to ensure I was doing everything correctly for my EDS issues. Met Ramlah and now work with her 2-3 days per week when I am in the city. Only disappointing thing about this particular facility is they don't have a lot of formation classes, which are the ones you take in the beginning. Fortunately, I'm in a place where I am able to pay for privates, but I don't know if this is the place to come and learn in a group environment as they have so few classes. I found a couple of studios in my area that do offer them and will continue with privates but take some groups elsewhere that offer entry level classes the focus on form. ]

Love this place!…read more It's hard and intense but you definitely get an amazing workout. It's a low impact pilates class with slow movements on a reformer megaformer machine. Here's a small tidbit from their site on what lagree is: The Lagree method blends Pilates, cardio and strength training. Our classes are performed using the patented M3S Megaformer machines that target the slow twitch muscle fibers by engaging in controlled movements, which in turn activate your metabolism, burn fat and calories. I love lagree. I'm always super sore after but it's such an amazing workout. Bring grip socks cause you'll def need it! I've taken a class from several instructors and every single one was great. A few of the really good instructors left. Second they randomly started changing the classes. A few weeks ago I signed up for a reformer class that mysteriously got changed to a "power" class (much harder, maybe better for me but definitely not what I signed up for). This was the third or fourth time classes had been shifted without notifying the participants. The instructor said she just found out as well. Why? No idea. Also frustrating is that despite the fact I have come here for years there has never been any kind of thank you for your loyalty, hey it's your birthday here's a free class, here's a discount, nothing. It was a small studio that has now become a chain, so the vibe has shifted for sure. I wish them the best and thank them for all of the great classes I've had in the past but it's time to move on.

And yes Lisa will make you love the pain, crack jokes and shape your body into something that you never thought was possible. No other Pilates studio comes anywhere near what this place has to offer. My only wish was that I had found this studio earlier when I lived just a block or two away, I would have been here all the time. I took Jen's class -- she's the owner -- and it's nice to find someone who is so nice, passionate and involved in her business. The space is small but has 5-6 reformers, some other equipment and one bathroom. Note that there's no separate changing area other than the one bathroom so if you're going to cut it close to the class, it may be best to change at home. The reformer class was excellent and was focus and controlled and I got a good workout in. Jen took the time to explain everything and made sure we were doing the moves correctly. Even though I didn't really sweat in the class, I did feel a little sore in my abs the next day and still got a god workout in. Would highly recommend this place if you like pilates classes like Body Chemistry in the Mission or Mercury Fitness in the Marina. These are the kinds of pilates studios I love to find and frequent. I don't really love the BodyRok or Core40 classes as much since they go too fast, seem very repetitive in the movements/exercises, and don't focus on form. These kind of classes are more of the opposite. 5 stars. Looking forward to taking another class here next time I'm back in San Francisco.

She led us through a mix of strength and cardio intervals, offering modifications and cues calling attention to form and alignment reminders (I definitely needed these!). I felt comfortable easing back into things while still being pushed beyond what I've been doing on my own over the past year. It was really nice to be back in a gym setting and use equipment not as common to the basic home gym setup many of us have acquired during the pandemic (yoga mat, dumbbells, bands...). Checking the schedule and signing up online via their website was easy. Once I arrived, I was welcomed and shown around, and I observed the current Covid protocols of mask wearing were being followed. I hope to go back next week and get back into a new routine!
