I will start with a dinner recommendation for those of you who are unsure if you should go in and what to order. As a first timer start with Zapi (cut in smaller portions and turn it into an appetizer for everyone to try) then order the Polish platter and wash it down with Polish beer - ask for Warka (easy to pronounce) or point to any of the first 7 beers on the menu ;) As a Polish American I am excited to see new Polish restaurants coming back to Chicago and this one comes with a mission. Introducing Polish street food to Lincoln Park. From classic pierogis, to the GOAT of Polish street food -zapiekanka, grilled kielbasa with horseradish mustard, and potato pancakes -- this place is bringing street food culture to our city. Make sure to enjoy their cute outdoor patio and SMACZNEGO

I'm a retired chef of Polish heritage. My mom was my first chef instructor although she was a self trained home chef. I grew up on pierogis and kielbasa. This place is great! My sister and I were hunting for a quick snack and happened to park right in front of this place. Had plans to go somewhere else and my intuition kicked in and lit up my brain when I saw Polish street food. My sister had just come back from an extensive trip in the mother land, Poland. We were so happy with the pierogis that we ended up coming back for dinner that night, again changing our plans. The house made smoked meats and sausage was only the tip of the great food. We enjoyed the outside seating and loved the zero alcohol beer. I highly recommend this place and would love to meet the owners someday and tell them how great their restaurant is. Can't wait to try the other spots they own.

Food was so good and the prices were great for the amount of food we got! Will definitely be back soon for the polish sausage. Outdoor seating was nice and we loved that there was a full bar. Great place for a cute casual date or lunch.

SMACZNE SMACZNE SMACZNE!!!! I come here with my boyfriend so much when I'm in school and we always get the maczanki!!! my favorite restaurant to visit after a stressful week

I came to Spoko for a happy hour with friends, and I was blown away! Have not been to Poland since prior to the pandemic, and I forgot how good zapis can be. The happy hour prices were great, and the outdoor patio was lovely. Great spot in Lincoln Park!

everything was so delicious! The pierogi were so good, crispy on outside and soft and warm on the inside, the potatoe pancake was thick and delicious and the sausage was perfectly cooked. We had to end it off with a sweet treat and the gofry way perfect! soft, warm, chocolatly and creamy. the food came out quickly and the server was very nice. She gave us great recommendations since it was our first time visiting.

I think when I saw the ambience of the place I was like "oh it can't be that good" because it's so casual? but it's actually worth the hype. nice to sit outside and definitely on the upper end of polish food! they also randomly have very good milkshakes

We were looking for a place to go after volleyball and all the bars we had originally gone too were overcrowded and we weren't able to get in. So we stumbled upon this place and they were able to seat us immediately even with as big of a group as ours in their outdoor seating. They were quick to take our order. They also have an inside which is smaller and more intimate than a normal bar restaurant. The food was really delicious so I am not sad at all that we ended up here. I will say, the kebab on the menu is actually a wrap. That was probably the most misleading thing however it was delicious!! Good balance in flavor and plenty of food for 2 meals! I would like to go back and try the other food as they looked really interesting too.

    Polish platter and wedge salad

We stayed in Lincoln Park and stumbled on this gem. The polish platter and wedge salad was more than enough food for two of us. It was delicious and the pierogi was the highlight of the meal. Would definitely recommend for those who enjoy polish cuisine.

Stumbled upon this delicious Polish street food. It was the perfect place for a quick lunch on our trip in Chicago. We also ate the potato and cheese pierogi as an appetizer. Highly recommend!!

I'm a big bbq fan and Spoko's sandwich was so good. I had the brisket, wife had the pork. Can't wait to come back.

They played good music and wasn't too loud. You could easily carry on a conversation or , like me, continue listening to a podcast. By the time I finished, the place was completely full and a bit noisy, but not bad. I started out with a 10oz Birds of Prey Pilsner. It was very nice. Light and crisp and very easy to drink. I followed that up with Melodious Maibock and ordered the CBG burger with fries. I didn't have lunch so I dove right in and forgot to snap a photo. It was a very good smash burger. It was cooked well and I really liked the combination of pickled onion and caramelized onion. I didn't see it until later but you can add bacon. As much as I loved this burger, bacon would totally take it up a notch! I started chatting with the bartender about their different beers and decided to have the Super Melodious Jalapeño Maibock with the burger. It's soooo different, but in a good way. It paired so well with the burger. You get green bell pepper on the nose and a hint of it on the palate. When you swallow you get a little heat at the back of the throat. It was so good! Great bar. Great food. Great beer. Go check them out!

If you want to hang out at a brewery and drink amazing beer, I'd probably choose one of the other breweries in town.
