I am very lazy when it comes to the up keep of my hair and when I decide I want to "update" my hair I always do it last minute. The previous Salon would always have openings around the time I wanted. However this time they did not. Thankfully I found this place. I usually always go the bayalage way with my hair. Since I see a different person they all have different techniques which has left my hair with different shades. So here is where Mikayla comes in. She was very patient and knowledgable. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. I usually like to have faith my in my stylist to make sure it works and looks good. She listened, brought out some samples, and gave her suggestions. She came out with 3 different colors to color my hair with. She carefully "painted" my hair to make sure that all the colors would blend. She totally fixed my hair. I walked out so happy that I didn't have all these random colors/shades from previous colors. Her work was amazing. She doesn't jut slap it on and foil it up. She did a really great job. I hope to eventually see her again. Maybe this time I wont be so lazy to do the up-keep

The owner was inflammatory toward me from the moment she called me from my car to come in. I have been a long time customer of this salon, but will no longer be a customer here after this visit. It is not because of the hair stylists. The hair stylist who served me was pleasant and professional. The owner however, was not. I was NOT late for my appointment, waited in my car for about 7-8 minutes before the owner called me in, as they were not ready for me before that. The owner made it clear she hadn't seen me arrive in the parking lot 15 minutes in advance. This is a moot point I reminded her, because she was not ready for me anyway when I arrived in the lot and I was not late for my appointment. I wore a mask. The owner made a choice to be edgy with me from this point forward. She watched me like a hawk and rushed me toward the hair washing area telling me not to touch any surface and proceed without taking my rain coat off. This was not fine. I was not going to have my hair washed with my hooded rain coat on. So, I took it off, which annoyed the owner further. I had no control over the rainy weather. Later, when I went to pay using new bills from an ATM, the owner held up each bill with gloved hands and sprayed them to the point they were dripping wet with sanitizer, then acted annoyed as she then had to dry each bill with towels before she could put them in the drawer. (This was her own doing, and it was quite bizarre to witness). I told her so, as I had never seen money washed like that at any other store with any other customer anywhere. I asked the owner to give me $10 change and leave the rest as a tip. This should have been simple. Instead, the owner continued to try to make her actions with the money washing my fault. She fanned out all of my change on the counter, and told me I had to point at the money to be left for a tip without touching it or the counter it was laying on. Again, this was inflammatory behavior by the owner. The owner also does not allow credit card use due to the 2-3% transaction fee she does not want to pay, and uses a very old debit machine that sometimes (in the past I have seen it not work). The owner prefers that customers make out a personal check in advance of coming in, in exact amount and use cash as tip. I do not use a checkbook anymore. There are way too many parameters to follow here to please the owner and I do not want to feel uncomfortable as a customer, so, I will not be giving the owner my business any longer.
