The problem is, I've struggled to find stylists who are willing to take me as short as I tell them I want to go. I've had to tell many stylists to keep going shorter, millimeter by millimeter, until I'm tired of sitting in the chair and just say it's fine. I've also had many stylists who either haven't listened or haven't been able to capture the style I want (a shaggy pageboy/bixie, NOT a blunt bob!). Cassandra was the first stylist I've had in YEARS who got it. We spent the first 15 or so minutes of my appointment on a consultation - not just me showing her photos of styles, but her asking specifically what my hair care routine is/how much time I want to spend styling, how I want it to grow out, etc. Then she took the time to bring the style to life - consulting me as she went to make sure it's where I wanted to go, and going back over places she felt needed more work. She was super focused, but also chill, funny, and easy to chat with for the hour appointment. It's been years since I felt like I haven't had to "settle" for a haircut. I will definitely be going back to Cassandra. Bonus points to the salon for just having a nice atmosphere overall.

I am very lazy when it comes to the up keep of my hair and when I decide I want to "update" my hair I always do it last minute. The previous Salon would always have openings around the time I wanted. However this time they did not. Thankfully I found this place. I usually always go the bayalage way with my hair. Since I see a different person they all have different techniques which has left my hair with different shades. So here is where Mikayla comes in. She was very patient and knowledgable. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. I usually like to have faith my in my stylist to make sure it works and looks good. She listened, brought out some samples, and gave her suggestions. She came out with 3 different colors to color my hair with. She carefully "painted" my hair to make sure that all the colors would blend. She totally fixed my hair. I walked out so happy that I didn't have all these random colors/shades from previous colors. Her work was amazing. She doesn't jut slap it on and foil it up. She did a really great job. One time we were there for over an hour as they had a new person learning to cut hair and my son sat in chair for an hour. Then they made a comment to me along the lines of "he did a good job sitting even though it says otherwise on the computer". Are you serious? He is 6 and sat in a chair for an hour while you learned to cut hair. Today my son got into the chair and the lady asked how to cut it. I said shorter and she said "I need some direction". I mean you dont have to give me attitude. Sorry I dont know the lingo of using a 2 on the sides and a 3 on top or whatever; although I highly doubt if I went in and said that she would know anyways. My son left today with a haircut that is crooked on the front and has tufts sticking out randomly. Maybe if you suggest "cut it well" that would help them. Pros : quick Cons: rude, bad at cutting hair, and costs more than a barber. We will be looking for a barber and I suggest you do the same.
