You can see that he truly loves dogs and knows how to handle them. Our rescue dog, Ollie is a border collie and loves to run. He's also an escape artist and after seeing the secure fencing felt that he would be totally safe at LSDR. At home Ollie wears the Whistle device on his collar. It tracks his location and activity distance. I asked if he could wear it during his stay there and they were so accommodating! They even charged up the device for us! We saw a couple of photos they posted of Ollie on Facebook. I could totally relax while we were out of town because I knew Ollie was having so much fun. We brought Max home 4 days ago. He is a 9 weeks old Golden Retriever. Max is our first dog here in US and we had no vet. I did a little research and found Chastain with several good reviews. I decided to give it a try and couldn't be happier! Besides the fact Max is melting the hearts over there, everyone of them are amazing people and truly animal lovers! Dr. Samantha and Dr. Mari are amazing! Max had an infection due to giardia contamination and all the staff were very helpful and gave the best to make Max fell better. I'm sure this is a beginning of a very long relationship like that ones you may have with the pediatrician that has been taking care of your children since forever. Every single time I tried to schedule a groom or boarding, there were issues. What should have been a simple process turned into a drawn-out, frustrating experience with poor communication and no clear answers. To make things worse, after multiple attempts to get something scheduled, they claimed they "didn't like my tone" and refused to allow me to make a reservation at all. I've never experienced anything like that. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or help a customer, they chose to shut the door completely. Customer service is where they completely fall apart. Responses are slow, often rude or dismissive, and there's zero sense of urgency or accountability. It genuinely feels like they don't value their customers. At this point, it's hard to tell if they even care about having customers at all, let alone new ones. Do yourself a favor and avoid 2nd Family Dog at all costs. There are plenty of other businesses out there that will treat you with respect and actually make the process easy.
