The food was absolutely phenomenal!! I got the gluten free pancakes because I have celiacs disease and when I say these pancakes were fluffy they were at least an inch thick!! They tasted like vanilla buttermilk pancakes, I highly recommend them! My boyfriend got the BBQ Pulled Pork Burger and he said it was a solid 8/10! The staff was so so sweet and nice! They create such a lovely and unique atmosphere that I haven't seen in a restaurant before! They truly were amazing and made us laugh and always made sure we were taken care of. I have heard many good things about this breakfast spot so I wanted to give it a try. The servers were very nice but a little slow which is understandable on a Saturday morning. I got the omelet with home fries, the home fries were not good, but the omelet was delicious! My boyfriend got the chicken and waffles. There was one singular piece of chicken on the waffle, but other than the small portion, he said it was good. On our way out, we saw that the potatoes are stashed in an open tin under the stove, very close to the ground where the cook walks. The bananas foster pancakes were absolutely to die for! I would go back in an instant just for them. The service was speedy. It was a cute little beat up diner in a small town. The booth seat was split and was annoying rubbing up against my legs while I sat but that was my only complaint. The servers are pleasant however not very attentive. After delivering our meals she was not seen again. The portions are excessive- which may sound odd to remark about. Far too much for a reasonable healthy serving of food. The menu options are interesting however the choices are generally not healthy. All fine for a treat or a splurge however the combinations are based in highly processed junk food and again there is so much of it the meals lacked real flavor. The meals we had tasted like bisquick pancakes and jimmy dean sausages. My breakfast date has had stomach upset since leaving the restaurant 10 hours ago. What a great place! I'm so glad my friends recommended this location. A great town restaurant! There was a waitress going around filling up coffee every couple minutes. That was the highlight hehe. All of the staff was very attentive and helpful. The menu was extensive. Everything we had was wonderful! I'm hoping to get back there and enjoy a lunch. We were seated fairly quick. If you are single and trying to eat here alone go somewhere else. They don't want solo eaters Says please seat yourself. Then I sat myself. But they have a list. lol maybe just take the paper sign down so it doesn't come off like seat yourself. I walked in before people and I was next on the list I watched 2-3 tables get sat before me. Someone told us about the pancakes so we tried it out on a quiet labor day weekend at home. I liked it a lot. Nice inside has a homey feel. Prices aren't terrible but it's definitely not cheap. Portions are big as you'd expect from an American diner. So be aware of what you order and maybe share a plate if you can! The coffee cake pancakes were really yummy but I wish I'd gone for something with chocolate. I expected more of a crumble cake topping that a thick liquidy syrup. Either way I enjoyed them and they heated up nicely the next day, too! My bf liked his burrito a lot - also thought the portion was quite large. Its a small petite place with an even smaller restroom so the place can feel a little cramped. Service is good and servers are nice. My kind of spud I only had fresh squeezed orange juice to drink so I can't offer any insight on the java. But the portion was HUGE! Come hungry or prepared for leftovers! We went here when we first moved to collegeville- it was alittle gem- tucked away downtown ... today i ordered my husbands favorite the messy - it was disappointing- they changed their potatoes to thick quarter cut instead of slices And the bacon tasted as if they just deep fried it and had a odd rubber texture. The cheese usually is spread through but it was a gloppy in the center - the eggs seems like they were from a carton. Let's start with mine. The eggs Benedict were decent, but having had these at multiple places and in different ways I can safely say they're a 4/5, I could have done without the ham. The potatoes were plain and could have been seasoned with some peppers and onions but they were just plain. They weren't bad but just okay. What a great find! We needed a breakfast spot and this super cute little restaurant was just a few miles away. It was busy but we were accommodated at a small table by pulling up a chair. We got our coffee right away and looked over the menu-everything looked amazing. I ordered the scrapple hash and my friend and partner got egg white omelettes. The servings were HUGE. (I know that is supposed to be a good thing, but it's just too much food. Each dish would've be easily enough for two.) We all agreed everything was tasty and decided we would return the next day to try more things! They take credit cards, but I was glad to the that Venmo is an option for tipping, as we were out of cash. The only problem (not for us, but be warned) was accessibility. The bathroom is located up a short set of steps and then MORE steps in the toilet room itself. Definitely a problem if a walker or wheelchair is needed. Annamarie's Place always has a line, and for good reason. It's wonderful. I've been here several times and every time I leave utterly stuffed and gluttonously full. If you want standard breakfast, you can probably find that here, but that's now why you should go. You should go for the absurdly decadent dessert-style French toast or waffles. They have an unbelievable variety and you can find something for every palate. I can't remember which one this photo is of, truthfully. Was it some sort of banana cheesecake stuffed waffle? Probably. It's hard to say, because Annamarie's Place has such a rainbow smorgasbord of delights and it's had me coming back for more every time. I'm not one to hop on and give reviews of a restaurant BUT in this case I want to applaud this business... they seemed a little short staffed today with only 3 servers BUT they did an outstanding job. Our server was lydia and she was full of smiles and answered every question we had. She was very attentive and kind! Coffee was getting walked around plenty (delicious coffee) & they were walking around checking on everyone and fulfilling customer needs. The cooks get an A+... I'm not sure what they put in that food but it is amazing! Our pancakes were light and fluffy our omelette was also light fluffy and delicious... and those breakfast nachos... mmmmm so good! The place has the homy feeling everyone loves.. but it's a bit small and a little crowded! We will definitely be back though 10/10 recommend Just an FYI bring cash! I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and I finally went in today. I was shocked by the name of a sandwich on their menu. The Government Grilled Cheese. Th4 name of this sandwich can be so hurtful to many families. Families (dating back from the great depression) to present families that depended on "Government" cheese to feed their families. Also how the stapple of scrapple became popular to families in our country. I am not saying the sandwich isn't good, but maybe the owner/manager can educate themselves and the staff about how some labels can be demeaning to people in our communities across our country. To have empathy and respect for others goes a long way in our society today.
