I'm in my 50's and been going since I turned 21 but not for the last 15 - 20 years though. Not much has changed once you get inside except for upgrading the juke box and getting the outside seating set up. They've done a marvelous job of keeping the place clean to the touch while being in business which seems like forever. Most bars get grimy after that many years. (Nippers and Sly Fox before they closed come to mind). Son wanted to check out Tom's after baseball practice so we drive up. Forgot they were cash only and didn't have a debit card to hit the ATM inside. Worked out with $1 wings and two sodas. I'm not a breaded person at all while my son doesn't mind them. The wings were the best breaded wings we've ever had hands down. The sauce was the mild so can't speak to the other sauce types. The wing itself tasted and mirrored Speck's Chicken. You could probably eat the wings unsauced and not regret it. Have cash or a debit card and try their wings while listening to the jukebox which never has a bad song. read more

The meatball sandwich was the worst I've ever had. No hint of beef, bland, mushy, gray. First time it saw sauce was when it got in the roll. Why am I so angry? It's cause I remember when the original owners would make and fry meatballs on Sunday. So big Floss cut them in half and they soaked in sauce until they got to the roll. I get that things change. This bar is as shady as it gets. First they only take cash which is probably the only establishment I know who don't accept cards and are still costly as hell. Service is so damn slow. We came here twice one on a Friday night with only half tables occupied and still had to wait at least 15 mins for someone to come take our order and the other time it took equally long and we had to stop a waitress to take our order. Second, they are dishonest. They charge as and what they feel. First time we went in Dec our Basil Hayden on the rocks cost us $6.50 and second time in Jan the same cost us $13. Double the amount but damn sure not double the alcohol. We were a big group of about 10 and everyone was taking 4-5 drinks and they saw this as a good opportunity to take advantage. They literally served us in shot glasses with ice filled up in them so how was it a double?? LIARS!! Third, after just one round of drinks and not so full bar they were already asking for our glasses and making us finish our drinks quickly because they had run out of glasses. Wow, prepared much! And last, we went out for a smoke and one of the staff came out hunting for us explaining our bill had run over $700. Poor dude was probably used to people running off without paying that he came out hunting for us. Honest, we felt we were being judged and looked down upon because of our color. We enjoyed an evening out this past Saturday night (4/5/25) at Tom's Bar & Grille. We both had cheesesteaks and fries which were very good. The rolls were fresh, and the fries were delicious. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the bartenders were friendly and attentive. There was a good crowd and a great live band playing classic rock music which everyone enjoyed. There is no smoking inside the building which makes it a very pleasant place to stay and enjoy the music for a few hours. read more

First it's an old rules bar, we're smoking is allowed. no I don't smoke and it's a Bar it do bother me. I go sometimes to sit have a beer on draft, cold and good! talk to the person sitting next to me or across the bar, not to far it's a large bar. if I get hungry I order a hoagie i think they are very good. some nights there's a band. Tom's Bar PA. Tuesday night 7 to 11 cheese $3 Cheesesteak special. who can't love that. Well, it is small, cash only and they allow smoking. Other than that, I love this place. I probably wouldn't go back without a Dan. Everyone was as nice as could be and out on a Tuesday night enjoining a $3 cheesesteak. The sign says $3.50 beer but they do charge more for the higher alcohol content craft beers. Perception is a funny thing. $3 cheesesteak, very excited. Little oval roll comes out in a basket covered in lettuce, excitement drops. First bite lots of roll and lettuce but roll pretty good and fresh, excitement considers going back up. Third bite there's a sneaky amount of good meat in there, excitement Rises. 7th bite cheesesteaks gone, excitement unsure what to do. $3.50 (extras) cheesesteak, $6 draft of Pizza Boy Craft Sour Beer (bartender did tell me ahead of time it would be extra), $9.50 plus tip, lots of TVs, lots of bar games and nice neighborly feel; very good night. read more

So here's the scoop. I'm from out of town. Not a regular. It's a cash only bar, so, you leave the cash on the bar and the staff takes from your kitty. My first two beers were $2.50. the next 2 were $3.50. My cheesteak was $6.50 on special, and my tots side was $4.50. waitress's arithmetic made that $16.25. Stay away. Thieves are thieves. I can only give this a 3 mainly due to the amount of smoke inside. If you are not a fan of cigarette smoke this is definitely not for you. I would stop in at night to get takeout beer, and no matter how fast I moved I couldn't avoid the smoke. Literally the beer cooler is right inside the door. Step in, open cooler and grab a Miller, step to the bar right next to the cooler and place cash on bar to cover beer and tip (no change needed) and go immediately outside. I would drive about 1/2 mile home. The next day my car still smelled like cigarette smoke. Obviously I am not a fan of the smell. If you can move past that, then the price of the beer was OK. In 20+ years of living near Tom's I think I have eaten there 3 times. I enjoyed to food every time. The sandwich size was on the smaller end of the spectrum, but the value was still very good as the prices are very low. The daily specials are posted out front on a digital sign making it easy to know what you should be ordering that night. Cheese steak special is a really good deal. This would be a solid 4 star is not for the smoke. Just remember that this is a bar that serves food, not a restaurant that has a bar. So I wouldn't recommend this for Valentine's Day, LOL read more

I wanted to like this place. It's your typical non-kitschy dive bar with locals, a couple of pool tables, and a game on the flat screens. The beer selection is decent enough. The food menu carried several options, but we did not order. All in all, the atmosphere appears comfortable. It's important to note that this is a smoking bar. That's fine in general, and definitely a plus for many people, but not my thing. Cons? First, their website is terribly outdated and the hours for specials are incorrect. Second, and most importantly, the bartender had the personality of a pickled cactus. I have no problem being asked for ID, I understand that it's important to verify patrons are of age! I don't understand when upon providing ID, the following question is a short "Whaddya want" with the attitude I'd expect fruition a 13 year old girl. When I feel as though my presence as a customer is an annoyance to the person I'm ordering beverages from then I don't feel inclined to spend my money there. read more

fun place and great bands, my second time there I was sitting at the bar, and when I was unable to get the bartenders attentions after 10 minutes I held out a 20. I guess they don't like when you hold out money because the bartender said they don't know what that means when someone does that so they continued to ignore me. Ok. I can agree with some of the other reviews. Great wings. Great draught. Miserable bartenders. They don't take credit cards. Locals are near hillbilly. What do you get with 32 patrons in Tom's B&G? I squeezed into the lone seat at the bar between the lady smoking and coughing like she had TB and two giggling 20 year olds calling and pranking some local hillbilly boys I guess. When I lived in the Philadelphia area originally, I had friends that live close to Tom's. Tom's is a total dive watering hole. I love Tom's. Seriously. It may be a dive, but it's a respectable local watering hole that's clean and friendly. One of the things that I found funny visiting here years ago, is that they get kind of pissed if you swear too much and eventually will kick you out if you drop the f-bomb too many times. How I never got kicked out of there, I have no idea. This is such a great little place that has nothing more than basic beer and greasy food. A pool table, some games. Just a simple little place to go with some good friends and enjoy their company. read more

It was always your typical dive bar with decent food and beer. It has actually gone down hill since the old man passed away and the sons, who act like entitled jerks, took over. They used to consider themselves a part of the community as was seen in their allowing the church across the street to use their parking lot on Sunday's (when they were closed anyway). The sons basically told the church to go to heck and they would tow anyone who parked in their lot. That's when Tom's lost my business and a lot of my friends business. I have been coming here forever, off and on throughout the years and I must say, I love Tom's. The staff is amazing, just the other night we "lost" our sister (she walked home in the rain without informing the crew) and the staff was out in the rain with us looking for her. I also lost my wallet and it was returned to me with about $200 cash still in it by the bartenders. It is a dive, that's the point. The crowd is a hilarious mix of old drunks, "cheap whores looking to get laid" (what a great review), blasts from the past, loud molesters, and everyone in between. However, when I left the bar, I walked past the kitchen only to see the cook nearly hack up a lung while cooking up a batch of food. Looked sicker than anybody had seen this flu season. Tom's is without a shadow of a doubt the most bitchin bar this side of the Mississippi. Charles Barkley showed up and bought a round for everyone sitting at the bar. Food is slammin. I ate a burger and it sobered me up. I get tanked there all the time. Beer is cheap and their Wednesday wing night special is crazy good. Yes, this is kind of a dive bar, but kind of not. It might have some "hillbillies" in it if you are referring to blue collar workers. I am from a true redneck town, and this did not make me think "redneck". It's a true "neighborhood" bar. Every time me and my boyfriend go in, we see a lot of the same faces. The people are moderately friendly, and I've been eyed up a little, but once I sat down with my boyfriend, no problem, no big deal. You can't get a better deal on the food specials anywhere around here that I know of, or too many places for that matter. It almost feels like taking a step back in time. They do cash only and up front. You see every kind of person in here, and all ages, 21 and up. Karl, the bartender is a nice guy. I just like going to this bar.
