I needed to leave another review and I chose this, not a BAD restaurant. Food is alright, staff is alright as well.

Shame on this restraunt, it's poor service and horrible customer satisfaction! The burgers are frozen, they overcharge and charged for toppings I never even received. When I called, they said I bought, I keep it, no refund, no redo. Call whoever, they do not care. I have been treated so poorly, ever! read more

After attending the theater competition, we all met for dinner here. The staff was friendly and greeted us on arrival. The waitress had already set 4 big tables for our group! The interior is nice and cozy and had murals of scenes around Italy. It was nice considering it pour like cats and dogs all day! The food was excellent! Service was fairly quick for a huge group and on a Saturday night! I ordered bread sticks and linguine with clams in red sauce. Although they forgot the clams, the linguine with red sauce was great. It was only after they brought me a bowl of chopped clams in red sauce to throw on my linguine that I realized it was much better WITHOUT the clams. I don't know why but the clams a a strange taste to them. Otherwise, I had a decent experience up here in Gloucester. read more

This place is dirty, not friendly service and the food is "meh." I ordered a salad. It was a shredded iceberg bomb. Not much else to it. The atmosphere was "blah." The whole vibe just felt like "womp, womp." I wish I had Yelped before we chose this place. The reviewers got it right. Sadly. Subs seem to get less of what you want over time. Got the Philly steak sub last night and an Italian sub. 20 min ride home and both were edible with fork. Too soggy. Italian was ok but Philly steak sub had so little meat on it that a vegetarian would have enjoyed it. $13 a piece wasn't worth it. read more

A local favorite. I grew up eating at Ann's Pizza. The Leone family have always been a huge asset to our community. No other pizza or sub will do when you grew up on the best. Pizza sauce is always perfect along with tender dough topped with fresh cheese and toppings. The subs are generous in size and always a good proportion of meat and cheese vs bread and veggies. Their homemade sub dressing is a must have. Nothing but for this little restaurant. Thank you to the Leone family for being in my home town. read more

Nice pizza with good sauce and dough. Sizes are 10-16 inch pies with 8 slices in the 16 inch. We ordered half and half. Only complaint was the cheese didn't go to the crust and it half pulled off when serving it. We did get a water refill, but also had empty cups for a while. read more

This place was decent. Not the best, but decent. The pizza crust is awesome. The steak and cheese sub was a disappointment and you don't get fries with it. You have to order those separate which I thought was odd for the price we paid for it. We would probably pass on this place the next time, but your experience might be different. Long time customers, love their subs and pizza. We really enjoyed their cheese steaks, before they used chopped steak and a nice portion. Today we ordered cheese steaks they used steak ums instead of chopped steak. We have ordered cheese steaks from there for years never got steak ums meat. Called manager, he fed us a line of BS. He said we ordered wrong sandwich, that's why we got steakums. That is totally BS we have always ordered the same way as we did tonight. It has been a nice experience. This place should really get 3.5 stars. It's a small place that does mostly take out. The seating section had only my work colleague and I and a couple. Of note is that the girl kept dropping f bombs like her life depended on it. We had pizza and cheesy garlic bread. I want to point out that this place uses a lot of cheese, which is cool. Don't get extra cheese though or you might not poop for a month. If you have lactose intolerant friends, then this place would be like the biggest strip club with cards and drinking to your Mormon friends. Good spot. Not much ambiance, but if you're splitting a pitcher and a pie, you're probably not talking about strengthening your relationship.Unless you do it with a lot of F bombs. read more

So I've ate here before to go and the philly was not bad at the time. But last night when it was four of us our food service was not preasant at all. One there was only three tables and one waitress two she asked if we needed refill when I got up to ask for three styrofoam boxes and the check I said no that was the only time we was asked that and who serves styrofoam plates what do y'all not have a dish sink to wash dishes or just don't want to wash them. My burger was burnt I had to cover it in ketchup the chicken nuggets look like hush puppies and even the breading look like chicken and the bathroom wow never have I ever felt trap and they want nice tv before remodeling the bathroom. Average pizza. We weren't disappointed with the service here. Our waitress was friendly enough. There was toppings or anything that sets this place apart from others. It was your standard topping but for those with a foodie habit it might be disappointing. Also, the styrofoam plates for everything was a bit lack luster also. This evening (Nov. 2, 2019) my son, daughter-in-law, husband and I went to Anna's Italian Pizza for dinner. We ordered a supreme pizza to eat at the restaurant plus a stromboli to go. The pizza was excellent, the waitress was very pleasant. The one complaint I have is with the men's restroom. My husband was in a motorized wheelchair and could not get to the toilet. The place is not very clean. We moved tables because the first one was half sticky and half greasy. The second table we sat at was just as sticky. The napkin holder had a dried glob of pizza or something on the top where the napkins came out so we grabbed napkins from the table behind us. The salt and pepper and parmesan shakers were so greasy we didn't even want to touch them. Two out of the four of us had dirty forks, but with pizza, silverware wasn't needed. The food was mediocre but with high end prices. My children liked it, but they aren't picky about pizza, they are kids, lol. However , I thought it was pretty blah with lots of cheap Sauce on it that was all you could taste. It's not the most terrible of places to eat but it isn't good either. read more

This used to be a great place and has been in Gloucester for over 20 years. Now it isn't what it used to be. We tried to eat there for lunch. No one seated us. No one asked "Can we help you?" or even a "Sit where ever you like." There was one young waitress with brown hair in a ponytail, and a young guy with curly brown hair cooking the pizzas. They both looked at us and went back to discussing facebook accounts or something. I guess business is so good that they don't really need customers anymore? It hurts to give this place such a low review but it has been going down hill since June. The food quality is subpar and the service is pathetic. Tonight as I waited behind the only person in line so I can order, 4 of the young employees were having a blast socializing and one was messing up the bill of the woman in front of me. The woman asked for a togo pizza box, the young lady got the box, socialized, put paper in the box, socialized, got the sauce cup, socialized then gave her the items. She couldn't even bring it to the customer's table? Why? Why make the woman wait while you are chatting with friends instead of doing your job? And if a someone was actually tending to the customers, the customer could have asked for the box from the table. Anyways, my turn, the young lady walked right past me, turned around as a after thought and asked "you picking up". I was not, so she said "so you want.....". I wanted to order and the young lady snapped about to go order or not. I am not even going to finish because her behavior was the same as the other young adults that were working there. All you hear is a bunch of teens laughing and joking when you walk in and see no one working. Let alone checking on the customers seated! They have to come to the counter to get a employee to pay attention to them! They use canned mushrooms, canned sauce (not sure, however it is runny and tasteless) and processed sausage. read more

Annas is great take out food. Delicious authentic New York pizza. The sausage isn't great. The pineapple and ham awesome. If your in the mood for a sandwhich the chicken parmigiana is a crispy chicken and a heaping of melted mozzarella cheesed on a toasted roll. If you eat in you have to take your chances with the servers and what mood they're in. Salad is iceberg lettuce and not worth the price. Great Italian eatery and worth the drive. read more

I had not been to Anna's in about two years (not because of a bad experience) and now, I have eaten there twice in a few weeks. One Friday night, I ordered a pepperoni pizza to go. The restaurant was very busy with patrons eating in and placing take out orders. The staff was friendly and you could tell they were all working hard to fulfill orders. The pizza was great - plenty of cheese and pepperoni, and the crust was really good. A couple of weeks later, we ordered lunch - a roast beef and cheese sub with grilled onions. It was delicious. We waltzed in 10 minutes till close after a looooong day with our 2 young girls at Busch Gardens and couldn't have had friendlier, more efficient service. Highly recommend to families! I TRIED to eat here tonight, but was refused service.I don't know exactly why either. Maybe they already have enough customers, maybe they didn't like my accent (I'm from the north). Good food for a decent price. The restaurant does mostly take-out but has plenty of seating. Their pasta is just as good as their pizza and their sandwiches are great as long as you're expecting an Italian restaurant type sub. The service is generally good. read more

It's Anna's! A Virginia tradition and you get exactly what you expect. Friendly service, good portions, consistent menu. The marinara is great. Beer or tea is cold. The salads are fresh and fast. And the pizzas will remove the roof of your mouth with hot stringy cheese and sauce. Never a bad choice. read more

I love Anna's. We have eaten here a few times. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. I wish they had a better beer selection but I really came here for the food. My son is picky so they let me do 2 pieces as just cheese and get regular toppings on the rest. Everyone is very friendly as well. This is certainly one of my go to spots. read more

Ive been going to Annas since ive been a kid. The last two times I went I was disappointed. The first time I ate in and it took about 1hr 15 mind to a pizza and a salad. The salad came out the same time as the pizza (pizza was burnt) and we were never asked for a refill, even though our cups were empty.Second time carryout, I ordered a medium stramboli and got a large instead.I told them I ordered a medium they said sorry and I paid my 15 for it, even though I ordered a med for $12.00 I even asked sizes and price over the phone. Annas has always been our fav....that is until today. Dreadful service...had to go to reception 3 times. First after waiting over ten mins to be acknowledged, then to get silverware after salad was slapped down on the table then after cold pizza was delivered to request pizza to be heated up. We suspect it was a premade pie that extra items were placed onto.
