Almost everything I've had here is really good. The sandwiches taste fresh, they're always full of flavor. Pizza's very tasty with great dough. The pasta is fantastic, I love the melted cheese that comes on most of the dishes. Some of the prices are just a bit high, but in this current economy they're pretty reasonable by comparison. I have been here for lunch a few times. I have enjoyed what I had every time. There isn't much out here so I would recommend stopping in if you are around. I have had a few different sandwiches, chicken parm, stark and cheese, and a fried chicken sandwich. I liked the onion rings and the fries. The staff is very friendly. They check up on you often. Always there to refill your drink nice and quick. The food always comes out quick and hot. It is nice when you are on a lunch break and they can get you in and out quickly. read more

I have been meaning to write a review of this place for some time. We moved to Barhamsville a few years ago to get further from the increasingly crowded James City area. Barhamsville is about the same distance to Toano as it is to West Point, so we started to venture out to WP and the area to see what there was to offer. We were pleasantly surprised to find a "strip mall" Italian Cuisine restaurant named Albaro. First, the food is excellent. We are slowly working our way around the menu to try different things to see if there are any low or high points here. So far, all is quite good. My smarter half leans towards the subs, hoagies, hero's, or whatever you may call them. In particular, the Steak with Onion Rings (and she hates Onions!!). I go for the Calzone or Pizza. Growing up in NYC, it is hard to find good thin crust pizza down here. Most usually are soft and soggy. Not here. Finally, the best thing that goes with the food is always good service. We would be wrong to leave out a few thanks to some of the best servers we have come across in the area. We love Kristen and Samantha in this place. Even if the food was down a notch on some days, which it has never been, Samantha and Kristen would bring our review back to 5 Stars. Bon Apetito read more

Food was stone cold!! Was 30 minutes later than time given. My husband waited forever to get food. Ordered with grub hub for pick up. Two of the four subs were incorrect. Fries were soggy! We had pizza here like 6 years ago and it was wonderful. We have always forgotten about them to be honest, but we have moved and it's on the way home. Last night we decided to have my husband pick up pizza after work. We both remembered Albaro so I looked up their menu and ordered. Prices are really good for large size pizzas. I ordered 1 cheese and 1 bbq chicken. The bbq chicken pizza was perfect! Wasn't over sauced but had the perfect amount to taste and not be overpowering. I'm not a huge pizza fan (I know I know) but I could eat this one regularly. My daughter said the cheese pizza was the best pizza she's ever had, haha. My husband is from "up north" and is a total pizza snob but he really enjoyed Albaro pizza. Definitely will be our new pizza spot now that it's on his way home and we are closer. read more

I would not know how the food is. I called to order a pizza. Was ask to hold. I held for a while When the person got on the phone to take my order another call came in and I was ask to hold. I waited again. She came back another call came in and I was ask to hold again. I hung up called right back and was ask to hold. If I would have just had 5 seconds I could have ordered my pizza. I live local to this Pizzeria. When my boys come to visit they like to go and dine in there for a large cheese pizza which they like and I ask to put green peppers on 3 slices for myself. Today the owner which cooks the pizza told the waitress he will no longer put my one topping on 3 slices it was too much work for him to do. He will do the whole pizza or half. I have never been to a restaurant where a owner that would not not could not take a plain cheese pizza and put a topping on 3 slices. Well I guess I will have to go somewhere elsewhere for pizza. It was 2:00 in afternoon and there was only one other table of people in the restaurant. Makes me wonder how this owner treats other customers. Good pizza though! read more

We called and ordered a cheese stromboli to go . Then called back to added a cannoli (We got one a couple of years ago and and it wasn't good it was a frozen one and was still half frozen when we got it.)but since the the name change we figured it has new owners and they would have fresh ones. My husband called and at first the girl didnt know what he was talking about and had to go ask. then he asked if they had chocolate dipped and she said yes so we ordered one. What we got was what looks like a frozen thawed one with some cheap nasty chocolate syurp on it. It was gross I wish i had checked it out before we left. But the stromboli was good. read more

I LOVE the food here. Growing up in West Point there were not many good options outside of chains... the pizza, subs and wings blow my socks off every time. I'm always happy to spend a little more money for better food than Pizza Hut. Service can be slow at times because they're very busy at times, but I'm happy to wait a few extra minutes if it means eating another delicious sub. My favorite is the Albaro steak supreme, and any of their pizzas are delicious!!! read more

I am a local and have been coming here for years. The service and food has gone down hill tremendously, all while the cost is steadily going up. We had dinner here for the last time on July 30. My husband and I ordrered wings & small chef salads. The chef salad was beyond pitiful, and shouldn't have cost a fraction of what they charge. The wings were over cooked, I also had asked for light sauce. They were practically drowning. My sons shared a small pepperoni pizza. The cheese was a strange texture and it barely had any pepperoni on it. I honestly wish I had taken a photo of this. So disappointing and we won't be coming back. Don't waste your money! read more

First time trying this place. And it was absolutely horrible! We were seated and we're only the second table in the place. It took almost 10 minutes before a waitress showed up and ask us what we wanted for drinks. Then we ordered our food and it took 20 minutes before they brought my food but not my wife's. I had ordered spaghetti with meat sauce. What a joke hardly any meat and do watery no flavor at all. And it took another 15 minutes till they brought out my wife's food s calzone. We just told them to box it we left. Worst service ever had in any restaurant I been in. And when we go to leave waitress is eating food st the front. I will never ever step foot in that place again. There aren't many restaurants in this area (West Point and Shacklefords, near Middle Peninsula Regional Airport), so my girlfriend and I arrived here pretty much by default and not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised by a clean and spacious space with friendly staff. I got the eggplant parmesean sub and she got the meatball parmesean sub. Both were delicious, and we were further surprised to find that all the ingredients -- even the bread -- were housemade. We got a side of fries, which came out perfectly hot and crispy. The prices were low and the food was great, so all in all we're glad we stopped by. read more

Had to wait for the hostess to get off her phone to greet me. Then was told to seat myself. Salad came out with the wrong dressing and then the pasta came out with a gallon of sauce (that tasted like it came out of a can) on top of a handful of pasta. In my opinion the worst ever!
