I'll start off with I'm very reasonable and an understanding person when it comes to using new services. We gave Anna's Maids 2 shots at being our routine cleaning service. The breaking point for me was they locked in a date/time to be at our home routinely. They dropped the ball and couldn't keep their end of the deal. The crew that came were very nice and courteous. They were prompt and did a decent job, hence 2 stars. If you're completely flexible and ok with schedules changing and broken commitments, they could work for you. read more

I don't typically use a cleaning service, but after living in our place nearly a year and just being way to busy to get a good cleaning in I hired this service by recommendation of my apartment complex. They came as I was heading to work. I let them know that there were two cats hiding in the bedroom, feeling a little nervous leaving them home with strangers. Let me tell you I was blown away by the job they did. I wasn't expecting the amount of detailed cleaning they did. I also didn't expect them to empty our litter genie or fully clean the cat potty area. I came home to a very clean apartment and I instantly felt relaxed. My dishes were clean, my kitchen was spotless and my floors were shiny! They also found all the random cat toys that had been batted under furniture. My cats loved the placement of their lost toys on their cat tower. I absolutely will be using them every few months going forward. It's so worth being able to feel completely relaxed when you come home. read more

Finally, our condo is sparkling clean!!! Believe me, that's quite the feat. Most of 2011 had been spent with us cleaning the bare minimum.... after multiple gatherings all year long, this place was disgusting. There was no way we could clean a year's worth of sins from this place on our own, nor would we want to. We had Anna's come in and clean the hardwood floors, granite countertops, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with marble tile and grout, dust... the full cleaning monty. After the 3.5 hour cleaning, you could probably perform surgery in our bathrooms or on our countertops... not that we would try, it's just that clean. Amazing! I have tried three separate cleaning services, and have been completely disappointed. I can't tell you how happy I am that we finally found a company that we're willing to start a monthly ongoing cleaning schedule with! Bravo. I paid for a Move In Service. When the ladies arrived (which was on time), they were rude and didn't want me to show them around. They just wanted to get to work so I left. When I came back there was a supervisor reviewing the work. The bathrooms looked good but the windows were streaked, the cabinet shelves (which they said they would clean were clearly not done and the floor looked horrible. I ended up spending me day cleaning everything but the bathrooms again. I understand everything won't be perfect but please point out what you couldn't do and why but don't have me pay for a service you didn't perform. Next - I called and told them so they gave me some money back - this doesn't help me solve I had no time to clean hence why I hired a service. I mailed a check out to the the next day. A month or so later they are calling me telling me I didn't pay. I said they might want to check their records again as I did. Then I never heard from them again. I don't want to hire anyone again b/c if this is the way it is, I can do it better without the hassle. The hassle cost me more time than hiring them would have. read more

I have been using Anna's Service off and on for a few years. I have used some other cleaning services as well, and they never do as good of a job as the ladies from Anna's. I come home to a clean house at a great price. And they do your hard wood floors by hand. Which is awesome as between my husband who can never remember to take his shoes off, the dog and my sticky yet cute 7 year old, they are usually pretty nasty. read more

We hired Anna's Maids for a move in cleaning and it was average, nothing exceptional. Shortly after the cleaning, I noticed that all the cleaning products that I had left on the kitchen counter were gone. My wife called to ask about those products and she was told that the cleaning ladies DID end up using OUR products as they found them to be better than their own. Okay, first of all, when is it okay to enter someone's house and use their stuff WITHOUT their permission when you are hired to clean? Second, when is it okay to take a client's cleaning products from their house? When I called to inquire about this, the lady said she would send me a check for the cost of those products. I threw out a rough estimate and did receive a check, but accepted it as an admission of guilt. This comes down to one word. TRUST. I cannot trust these ladies inside my house again. read more

I paid for a deep cleaning on March 14, 2020. I really wish I could give 0 stars. They only sent 1 worker and she did not perform a deep cleaning or a basic cleaning. She did not wash my dishes nor clean the floors to my closets. When I reported this poor excuse of a worker, the owner stated my house was in bad shape. Which I found hilarious. No children, clean 2 bed condo in a nice area and I pay for cleaning services regularly. However, this was her excuse for the disgusting job I PAID for. Anna's maids helped out when I needed a last minute cleaning before a party. Two girls came and cleaned within the timeframe promised and did a very good job. Even organized the clutter in my kids shared bedroom and stacked shoes away in our foyer. Nice job everywhere and the beds are made so well, I need to know their trick. Not going back for more. I had them out a couple times after finding them on Yelp. They did a mediocre job the 1st time. I decided to give them another chance and they were underwhelming again. Language was an issue as was getting a thorough cleaning job. If you want a light dusting for 36$ an hour-- they''re for you. If you want things cleaned without streaks, dusty spots, and crumbs still in the corners, I don't recommend this business. read more

"Great value" meaning as good as any competitor I've tried and frequently better for less money for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath. They only accept cash or check, but it's been a worthwhile exchange for me, since they are extremely responsive via email, phone, and text. I got tricked by them. A complete NO NO. Please don't use their services. not worth for even a penny. the mistake I made was to call them up before purchasing the Groupon coupon. the owner of the service said that I should not buy Groupon coupon and instead pay her 100$ directly which would save me 10$. so, I hoped on saving a few bucks and said her to get my apt cleaned on 28th July. that was the biggest mistake. she first of all sent an old aged lady maybe in her 70s for the cleaning. she was not able to even walk properly leave aside cleaning. we were not able to make her understand anything as she was not knowing English. She did a shitty job at cleaning and on the top of it, she had the audacity of asking us for tipping her. Considering her age, my friend gave her 20$ as tip amount. when I contacted the service provider for complaining about the quality of service they have provided. They were too rude and said we do our job this way only. She started telling me about what all they clean. they don't clean the walls , Fridge, and stove from inside. Anyways, luckily she said she cleaned the floor and it was here I caught her and sent her some pictures of my floor. Just for saving 20-30$ I wasted the complete amount of 150$. read more

First I never give anyone top ratings because no one is perfect. I am very pleased with Annas Maids. I have used several services in the past and AM has been the best so far. They are very accommodating if you need to change the day or time. I am also very impressed with their response when you have an issue or have a special request and they are always on time. What a disaster! I WAS a loyal customer for years before they main person running the operations (Agnus) left. I initially found Anna's in Angie's List, there were a bump in the road here and there, but it's all of how you handle it afterwards. I was a happy customer overall. A few months back when the lead operations person left, it not only fell apart, but it became a complete disaster. They came and cleaned (and charged) on days they were not supposed to be there, and then it took SIX times (excuses) to finally get my condo cleaned. The owner was rude, could not communicate well and actually when he messed up time and time again, he text me "believe me, it wasn't me fault". Really? Who's fault was it that you forgot the key, couldn't find parking, and every other ridiculous excuse in the book. To top it all off - after six missed appointments, frustration and unprofessionalism - I come home to a place that was cleaned WITHOUT any cleaning supplies, which I pay extra for - essentially all they did was dust with a dry rag and vacuum. But they did happily take the money and the tip I left. That is not cleaning and that was the last chance I gave them, I thought seven chances was a bit too much! I am STILL waiting on my key to be returned, which they claimed was sent last week. I am having my locks changed and deleting Anna's out of my phone forever! They went from a 4 to 5 star rating down to a 1 (which that is being kind). I don't foresee them being in business for much longer. There is not "service" in this cleaning service. I mean this so sincerely: Anna's Maids is the most professional and thorough cleaning service I have ever hired. Admittedly, being a "type A" homeowner, I had never been satisfied with the numerous cleaners I've tried since moving to Chicago (they either don't mop the floors to my satisfaction, or they don't cover the baseboards as I would expect etc. etc). Anna's Maids came to my 3 bedroom condo with a team of 2 and they worked so diligently and effectively that I literally did not have one single piece of negative feedback! They are eager to ensure I am satisfied with their work. The cleaners are honest. You will not see any of Anna's cleaners wasting time or on a cell phone. These ladies gives your house their full attention for the entire they are in your home. DO NOT USE ANNA'S MAIDS ! We contacted Anna's Maids after a less-than-perfect tenant moved out of our home in June. We asked for their "Deep Cleaning Service". They sent out 2 people that I met with personally and from the moment they walked in, appeared to be in a hurry. As we mentioned, we wanted their best service regardless of cost. She said the most they could offer was a 60.00 dollar refund (or come back out). The house was so poorly done, I wouldn't think of having them back. I told her it cost much more than that to correct. She did not budge. So to sum it up ... REALLY POOR SERVICE and they do not stand behind their work. Also, they stole many of our cleaning products and paper towels. read more

We needed a deep clean of the house we recently purchased. I went off of the Yelp reviews and thought that Anna's Maids would be a good cleaning service. Boy was I wrong. 2 ladies came to our house to clean it. We let them know that vacuuming was not needed because we were getting the carpets cleaned. But we did ask them to clean the window sills, the windows, the blinds as they were really dusty, and the baseboards. The house was fairly clean - especially the bathrooms since the previous owners had a cleaning done before they moved out. But yet, one lady worked hard on the master bathroom - it wasn't needed and time wasted. They only had one pail so they asked to borrow one. The second lady worked on the blinds, windows, and baseboards. I checked up on them periodically and they seemed to be doing a fine job. Once they moved downstairs, I took a deeper look at the baseboards. They were still dirty. When I asked if they were cleaned, she said yes and I said they are still dirty. No response so I just let it go - because I thought we might have to clean them again anyway. I checked the blinds and they are dirty. I saw them - and all they did was use a feather duster to dust them. A few blinds were just missed entirely. I asked if they could use their vacuum cleaner and she said no because they did not have the correct pieces. They were given one vacuum cleaner that didn't have any attachments! Then I saw them cleaning the cupboards - inside and out. Or so I thought. 2 cabinets were left completely unclean. And while the cabinets on the outside looked clean, the inside still had residue. They did not clean on top of the cabinets even though I mentioned it to them and they said they did it. Once the first lady was done, she said ok bye. And ran out the door. The second one was still finishing up mopping. And then said - I don't know where to put your garbage so I will just leave it here. I told her the can was outside in the garage. And then she also ran out the door. First of all, how do you not give your employees the proper equipment to clean a house when you say that you will provide all cleaning supplies. Second of all, how rude is it for your employees to just dash out of the door instead of asking if there is anything else that needs to be done or to make sure the cleaning was met to my standard! Third of all, if the garbage can is in the garage, it's simple enough to put it in the garbage can, not next to it. When I went back to Anna's Maids about my issues, they said that they were apologetic and that they had also spoken to the employees and were aware of some of the issues. And then they said that they were tired from some other work they did earlier in the week. I was appalled. If that's the case, Anna's Maids should not have taken on my house to clean. NOR should they have sent 2 tired employees. Anna's Maids said that they would offer a second cleaning at no charge and I said no thank you. I already started cleaning everything again and didn't want them to do a half-ass job again only to make me clean one more time. When I mentioned that I will be providing an accurate review of my cleaning service on yelp, they asked me to please refrain. I really think everyone should know how poor of a service they do so that nobody else goes through the same mistake. And I really don't know how they got on Angie's Super Service List. read more

Terrible service! We found them on Angie's list and they had great reviews, but unfortunately ours was beyond below standards. Two young girls came for a basic house cleaning. Their work was pretty mediocre- missed a lot spots/areas on the floor that needed dusting, we asked them to focus on cleaning the kitchen but they failed to scrub the sink! Plus, they asked to borrow my vacuum (because apparently theirs was broken) but they ended up breaking mine! I wouldn't be as bothered by this if they mentioned it broke before leaving, but I went to use it the following day and noticed it. So unprofessional! read more

I had used this service before and thought they were great....the recommendation came from my building management company; however, I am unsure about the 2nd time. The apartment was very clean; however, come to find out I was missing 2 expensive watches and my wedding band. As I am not home very much, I didn't catch this until months later, which was too late to do anything or complain. While I can't prove it, I am sure of the situation b/c no one else has ever been to my apartment when I wasn't home. On top of that, I just moved and searched high and low....the pieces are gone. I ordered the service through Groupon for 4 hours of cleaning. Anna who answered the phone was very rude advised me that I was out of her cleaning area which is 20 miles. I am only 7 miles from the business. When I advised it was a house she said it was too large for her cleaners to handle for 4 hours and needed to purchase another hour. I was only asking for 1 floor to be cleaned which is a small bedroom, bathroom, living room dining room and kitchen. First, picture 3 is a Harrah's Casino hotel room. Now to my experience. I had weekly cleaning service with Anna's for several months. They did an OK job, nothing spectacular but a solid job. I was happy until last week. I arrive home on Friday (my cleaning day) and the place had not been visited. When I called Anna's they told me my cleaning person was on vacation. They claimed they had tried to call me, but come on, voice mail always works. Plus, being weekly customers, which I'd imagine is more frequent then the average customer one would think they would go above and beyond to make sure we knew we would not get cleaning on Friday. Nothing. So I'm forced to scramble to do the cleaning before my house guests arrive. When I called them about this they didn't do anything for me, the customer, to try and smooth things over, they just said "To bad". So expect from them average but unreliable service. read more

I will never use Anna's Cleaning again. My fiance and I found them on Angie's List thinking they would be excellent and thorough. We needed a deep clean for a move and the place was completely empty so it gave them full access to every nook and cranny. it wasn't about money but after paying $135 i wish we never called them. They were on time, which i thought was a great sign but they did not have a lot of cleaning supplies on hand. We left and three hours later they called to say they were finished. When we walked in it looked like the job had been done. However, upon further inspection, the refrigerator had maybe a quick wipe through and the remains of the prior tenants existed - crumbs, gunk and nothing anyone ones to see. The stove was disgusting and the drawers had not been thoroughly cleaned out. The fans in the bedroom, which is not high had not been dusted. The bathroom and windows were the only places that had been cleaned. I was so irritated as i was cleaning out the fridge that I called them back asking for our money back or they come back to clean the place again. They called back and said they would send someone back. Ok, fine. One woman came back and we showed her where things needed to be cleaned. 25 minutes later she said she was done. 25 minutes of having to re-clean things? I don't think so. half ass job is what it is. The drawers were still disgusting and I didn't have the energy to tell her what things hadn't been done. It is not about the money - I would have paid $300 for a deep clean and to come into a new house not having to worry about cleaning. I HIGHLY recommend not using this service. We've been using Anna's Maids for a few years now - maybe 6x a year. We are always very pleased with their staff, timeliness, and results. We've tried other services and we always feel like they miss something. We have a dog and the staff is always great with her and getting all her fur - and there's a lot of it! I had Annas maids come this am to clean. I had to reschedule at the last minute last week and communication and reschedule were very easy. Two very nice ladies came promptly at 8am and immediately started cleaning. Very little talking between them only to see what needed to be done next. Used very good cleaning products and I was very happy with their service. Have already scheduled another cleaning. I have had some bad experiences in the past with other cleaning services. They were on time as a couple of folks mentioned, that was the good part. They showed up with a box full of cleaning supplies and that was it. We were never informed that they were going to be using our cleaning supplies and vacuum and funniest of all our paper towels! We hired them to clean our new house so we didn't have a mop or broom. They cleaned our entire house with our paper towels and cleaning supplies. At one point we had run out and buy paper towels. I'm not sure what they would have done if we weren't there.They never cleaned the specific areas I requested, walls and back door. Drawers were not cleaned. Grease was left on the oven. Communication was difficult as they do not speak english well. Over all I felt a little ripped off. I think those who enjoy they're service treat them like room service. A once a week or once a month small clean up. They are not for big jobs. read more

Needless to say they could not make a considerable difference in the state of the place. Anna's Maids were hired to clean our apartment after a renovation. Since they advertise renovation clean-up as an area of service, we were more confident booking them than other services we had seen. When the maids showed up, they asked if we had a vacuum because theirs was not working properly. We did not. They stayed a little over the three hour estimate- which would have been fine if the job was well done. It was not. When they left, the bathrooms were cleaned, but this was not an area of need. The floors, window sills, door frames (everything but the bathrooms) were completely covered in dust. When we reached out to the company to express our dissatisfaction, they stated they could come back, or refund us $45 of the $245 we paid. We took the second cleaning. When they returned, the maids informed me they had only been allowed 30 min at our apartment, and as expected for that little time, again left the space in the condition it was when they arrived. We walked away losing $245 and about 3 hours of our own cleaning time. When calling back a second time, the company stated they could send another crew out, but with new tenants moving in, and a suspected gain of only 30 minutes of their time, we had to walk away at our own loss. read more

The ladies with Anna's did a very good job cleaning my house. They accomplished, with only a few exceptions, a spring cleaning. The ladies were sweet and hard-working. No chatting with each other or on their phones. I am sure, during the next cleaning, all chores will be accomplished. Scheduling is easy and quite accomodaring.
