Great food, great experience and excellent service! Had an amazing time. Everything had their each and unique flavor! Definitely would get the same dishes again and change the meat.

On a cold winter night, I was craving something soup-y... And the khao soy at Anna's Thai Kitchen was it!! Not sure how they got chicken to be so tender and juicy, but it was delicious. They have some dishes that you don't normally see at other Thai restaurants. I was so glad that we tried the fried fish cakes! We also had the crying tiger steak dish which was so tender! It comes with sticky rice. The space seems nicer, making it a great dinner date location. Service was great. Would recommend a visit!

Excellent place! This blows all the other halal Thai spots of out the water. The ambiance is elevated but cozy. The staff and service was very attentive and pleasant. Tiger steak was probably one of the best dishes I've have this year. Perfect cooked and seasoned with a phenomenal sauce. The other dishes was also flavorful and the portions of meat was very generous. So nice to have authentic Thai with good quality halal meat. Mango and sticky rice was also perfection. Great experience all around, can't wait to go back

Kao Soi (beef curry noodles) with the magical fried noodles holding up the chopsticks!

Back in Chicago to visit my sister & help her move - my reward, hanging out with her & eating dinner at Anna's Thai Kitchen! WIN-WIN in my opinion. I love that Anna's is BYOB & there is a little liquor store right next door. A beautiful rosé or cold lager goes so well with spicy Thai food. We started with Betel Herb Wraps: the traditional royal snack - a bite of the perfect combination of roasted coconut flake with Thai herbs, ginger, shallot, roasted peanut, fresh Thai bird chili wrapped around with wild Betel leaves. I am OBSESSED with this appetizer & so is my sister - we get two orders so we don't have to share! We followed this up with fried oysters which were rich, creamy, umami with a delightful slightly spicy sauce. The meat course featured Kao Soi (beef curry noodles) with the magical fried noodles that hold up the chopsticks! Keo Soi can be made with chicken or veggie. It was a good amount of beef in a spicy red curry with two types of noodles - soft wider noodles in the soup & the aforementioned magical fried noodles. The latter are deep fried to hold up the chopsticks in the presentation & the server literally runs the dish to your table because the steam softens the noodles so they dramatically collapse into the soup as it is placed on your table. The combo of everything is delicious! We finished the meal with a whole fried ocean perch with a delightful spicy apple salad & rice. The meat of the fish was so white & the skin/fins were like fish potato chips. We ate every single part of the fish (except the bones). The apple salad was refreshing with a hint of a spicy to cut through the fry of the fish. Outstanding! I look forward to my next Chicago visit to see my sister & once again enjoy the fabulous cooking of Chef Anna at her beautiful restaurant! Highly recommend. NOM NOM NOM #YUM

Recently tried for the first time for pick up and loved it! Will be brining friends to try more soon! Keep in mind, their highest level of spicy is very hot! I love seeing halal restaurants around Chicago that branches into different cuisine. It tasted like typical Thai food, impressed with that. Both the papaya salad and basil chicken dish tasted flavorful. The mango sticky rice was SOO good! I was a little hesitant about the mango being sour since it's early in the season but it was so good and the rice had such a yummy cream with it! Excited to come back for more.

Came by on a weekend for a late lunch. Anna's is super well located right under the brown line stop. The area is really busy although Anna's had no wait at all when we came! The menu is extensive and has some northern Thai specialties like Kao Soi. We ordered a few curries and a couple of appetizers. Their strong point were definitely the curries which were packed with flavor. They used fried tofu in their vegetarian dishes which really adds a nice texture change. The Pad Thai was solid and not too sweet. The soups were less differentiated. The spicy dishes are very spicy! Service was extremely attentive and very nice. Only complaint was the restaurant is very pricey ($20+ per dish which is steeper than places downtown).

Half eaten pad Thais.... Flavor was so on point!

Anna is a lovely host and my friend and I had a great time at Anna's Thai kitchen. We stayed pretty simple and ordered pad Thai. Because I'm a little baby I ordered a side of peanut sauce because I always want everything more peanuty. Mine was veggie and it was truly delicious. The coconut in the peanut sauce was a flavor explosion and so pleasant. The heat was just right. The veggies were fresh and generous and I felt great after this meal. My friend liked his as well but thought the chicken was a little dry/over cooked. I am definitely coming back and am eager to try some different things. It's also BYOB which is fantastic. Great addition to the neighborhood and to Chicago's Thai scene

Indeed, this spot did not let me down! It is a small Thai restaurant in West Loop, with a large menu featuring monthly specials and quite a few dishes I rarely find in other Thai restaurants in U.S. For food, we ordered the following: 1. Khao Ka Moo: a stewed pork hock platter served with rice, pickled mustard greens, shitake mushrooms, sauce (similar to soy-sauce) and egg (which I opted out). It was my first time to have pork hock in a Thai restaurant. The meat was juicy and the skin was mouth-melting. Highly recommended. 2. JJ Tiger Cry: Basically grilled ribeye served with Thai style sides. The ribeye was cooked at ~medium well. I wish it could be a fattier cut and cooked for a shorter time, but my friend thought the temp. was perfect for her. It was served with a Thai sauce and cabbage+carrot slaw. 3. Green Curry Chicken: my sister's entree. The curry tasted refreshing and flavorful. It was also great that the dish came with both rice noodles and jasmine rice, so you can try both of them -- indeed, the rice noodles, after soaking it in the green curry, tasted heavenly! 4. Yum Hed. Grilled mushroom salad. There were shitake and king oyster mushroom. Served over a bed of fresh lettuce and a kind of spciy, sour sauce. Great as a side. 5. Guay Tiew Tom Tum Koong: Shrimp and rice noodles served in a generous bowl of Tom Yum Soup. It also had much veg. Unfortunately, I am allergic to some seafood so for safety I did not try this dish. Overall, the dishes are of medium sizes, but definitely enough for us. Service was friendly and quick. I may try more dishes the next time I visit Chicago.

The crab Rangoons are AMAZING as well, which says a lot because I have tried at least 30 in the city. These are top 5. Lastly, beef chow fun was okay. The food was completely underwhelming, and when we shared our concerns with the staff, nothing was done to address them. The service was equally disappointing. Our server spent much of the time sitting on her phone while we waited for basic service like water refills, being asked about drinks, and receiving the drinks we ordered. We repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to receive attention. As for the food, the gyoza was bland and tasted like unseasoned pork. The lemongrass beef stew curry, which was highly recommended, arrived cold, had an odd texture, and lacked any real flavor. Most shocking of all were the drunken noodles. I've ordered them countless times over the years and always considered them among the best in Chicago. This time, I couldn't get past a single bite. Every dish was left unfinished. We didn't finish a single plate and didn't take any leftovers home--something that never happens for us. Between the poor service and incredibly disappointing food, this was an awful dining experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, after being a longtime customer, I won't be returning.

Cuisine: 4 stars - We ordered Basil Rice, to share. The flavor was different than what I have been served elsewhere. More sour than sweet. I think a better balance between sour and sweet would be better. Also, elsewhere, the rice and ground chicken are served tossed together. Here, the rice and chicken arrive on separate plates. It's difficult to mix sticky rice and chicken on a flat place. Nevertheless, the meal was completely acceptable; just a bit different. Service: 4 stars - The server was polite and friendly. Ambiance: 4 stars - We dined outside, but the interior looks nice. It's really nice to find a Thai restaurant with outdoor seating.
