This is my go-to Uber Eats order, although going there in person has perks as well. My gf and I usually get the Pad Thai with mild-plus spice and shrimp, along with a Red Curry with mild-plus spice and beef. They give a free crab rangoon with a $20 order or an entree if you order directly or eat at the restaurant! The Pad Thai quantity is great, and the quality is also on par with some of the better ones I've had in the States. The curry used to be too sweet but nowadays is milder. This is my go-to for Thai food in Chicago and I have been a loyal customer ever since I discovered them about two years ago. There are three locations and each of them have a large delivery area, so it is very convenient if I want to order delivery for my apartment vs. delivery to a friend's house in another neighborhood. I've gotten Pho's Spicier Thai Cuisine many times with my friends and have made them loyal customers, as well. Every time I have gotten delivery, it had arrived quickly and the drivers are always very courteous and polite. My food is hot, just like it would be if I ordered it for dine-in. My favorite dishes are the Pad See Ew, Pineapple Fried Rice, and the Pad Thai. I usually rotate between these three dishes. I love Pho's so much! They are my go-to Thai place because they have such great Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Thai Iced Tea, and soup! I love how this place adjusts the spicy level on their soup, and everything is so delicious, well-packed, and organized. I've only experienced take-out from their restaurants, which they prepare really well and I'll only be able to review it as such. To elaborate on their take-out setup, they make sure everything is well organized and packaged safely for travel, and they have tables in front that say Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc., so everything is self-explanatory once you arrive. As far as wait time, it's average for a Thai place, and food is always the right temperature when it arrives home if I'm picking it up. Will continue to order from here! read more

One of my go to spots for comfort food. I have consistently ordered from them at least once every two months for the past 3 years. As other reviewers mention when they say "quite hot" they mean business. Highly recommend the Green Curry, Pineapple Rice, Pad See Ew, and Crab Rangoon. Surprisingly alright Thai food. We didn't know what to expect because if its reputation for being overly spicy. The Spring rolls were delicious as was the vegetarian friend rice and Pad Siew. Those were the best dishes. The eggs rolls were a bit stale. Tom kho soup was average as was the massuman curry. Service efficient and a bit on the abrupt side. This place is extremely good. We have ordered from here twice and they are one of the few thai places that have food that's as spicy as they say it is. Pad see ew is my go-to here and I get the hot. Since I am nursing a cold, I was in search of hot & spicy pho. My Grubhub search brought me to Pho-Thai Cuisine due to grub hubs 5-star rating and distance to my home. Well...I should have listened to the Yelp reviews. This was a very basic and underwhelming pho chicken soup. Missing cilantro and very stingy with the scallions. The (1) lime wedge included had one drop of juice. The chicken could have been fresher and juicier. Do not go here for the Pho! And if anyone reading this has a recommendation for pho in Lincoln square, please message me. My husband tried the green curry (if you can call it green). The sauce was extremely thin (watery) and very skimpy on the veggies. 3 peas, mostly carrots, 4 bell peppers. The sauce was sweet. This was the worst curry he ever had. I am deeply appreciative of Pho's Spicier Thai. To quote Margaret Cho, "It's not that I like spicy food. I can't eat food unless it is spicy. There's a difference. I don't really enjoy it that hot. It has to be that hot or I cannot eat it. " If you are a person who *needs* spiciness, Pho's is a gift of a food joint that will actually make food for you as spicy as promised. (I do not understand folks who down vote for spiciness. It's literally in their name, and one could glean it's one of the main points of this place.) Perfect LHAD NA had the most delicious gravy! Chicken was cooked at the right temp. MILD+ was a tad too spicy for me. Next time, MILD should work. I ate every morsel with deep regrets for wasting the gravy. BUBBLE TEA standard is made from powder. Good soft tapioca! However, regular Thai Tea is made fresh with milk/cream. So, you may have to explicitly say that you want FRESH Thai Tea on your Bubble Tea Thai Tea Latte. Oy! Sunday night I had the best food delivery experience I have ever had. Ever. After hemming and hawing over whether or not to splurge and order delivery, as I always do, I decided to bite the bullet and just do it. It was late and cold and I was hungry and just got paid and pad Thai just sounded really. Really. Good. THIRTEEN MINUTES after placing my order - 13 MINUTES - my food arrived. Really, really good pad Thai arrived. Thirteen minutes later. At 10:55pm. I placed my order at 10:42pm. That's thirteen minutes. The estimated time of delivery had been given as between 11:46pm and 12:06a. (The restaurant closes at 12a.) For reference, I live 1.4 miles away by car. The delivery person was cool, called me when right outside. I couldn't believe it. Oh did I mention this was 13 minutes after placing my order? I didn't even have time to mull over my binge eater's guilt of having ordered delivery. For a second as I climbed back up my stairs, I wondered if hmm, maybe the reason it showed up so fast was that I was getting some end-of-the-night leftovers. Perhaps the forgotten pad Thai order of a customer from earlier in the evening, or a not-quite-full container of papaya salad...now I feel like an ass for even having questioned this. The food was SO GOOD SO AMAZINGLY GOOD AND PLENTY AND HOT PIPING HOT. And FRESH. - Pad Thai: how have I not known about this pad Thai, I think I'd had it once before but shit. This is excellent pad Thai. Tamarindy, brown, peanutty, perfectly charred and al dente rice noodles, sweet carrot strips, perfect amount of spice (I think I did mild plus?), and the right sweetness. None of that orangey sugary crap that so many restaurants pull these days with their pad Thai (think Cozy Noodles in Wrigleyville these days...). And the rice noodles are classic, medium-thin rice noodles. True pad Thai noodles. - Papaya salad: hell yeah. Crunchy but also tender. Spicy but also tangy, with the right amount of vinegar. Again, not too sugary. Nice green beans and tomatoes. And peanuts. Yeah!! - crab rangoon: so fresh!! And so plentiful and cheap for the amount. These are what I tried first and what completely squashed my brief fears of end-of-the-night quality!! Cute little crispy things, perfect bite-sized morsels of fresh wonton and cream cheese goodness. I still really miss the sweet, creamy, melty, doughy numbers at the now-defunct Family House Chinese restaurant on Argyle, but this is what I prefer now. - pad makhua (eggplant): wow. Damn. Never tried this before, but it was excellent. I asked for no side of rice and they obliged. I hate wasting food. This dish was gingery, garlicky, with plenty of fresh, crisp vegetables. And speaking of vegetables, I ordered a $3 side of steamed veggies, which was perfect for supplementing this dish. The good: Friendly service, vegetarian options, open late. They also gave me free crab rangoon, which I couldn't eat bc I am vegetarian. The bad: Probably the worst Thai food I've ever had. Definitely the most boring. The appetizers are terribly over-fried, brittle, browned, and flavorless. The tiny veggie egg rolls have almost no filing. The veggie pot stickers are inedible. How do you screw those up? Definitely the worst pad thai I've ever had. It was absolutely flavorless. The only thing I could taste was the egg - barely. The tofu was fine, I liked the way it was cooked. But even after sprinkling the noodles with chili and salt, it was really bland and didn't have the tang or flavor of pad thai. The vegetable Tom yum was the only thing I enjoyed and was able to eat. It was also a bit bland, but no shrimp flavor and a good selection of veggies. I used to only order for take out and usually the person at the register was not outright friendly but the food was okay for the lunch special. I chose to dine in this time and was greatly disappointed at the poor service by the server. I am not asking to roll out the red carpet but having a friendly disposition and being courteous and answering questions I may have. (I only had one) would be nice. The server was more interested in chatting with her coworker than being a good hostess. The pad sew was too sweet and a bit on the oily side. The soup it came with was also not the greatest and tasted like it had ketchup in it. I love a spicy beef salad , when ordered medium spice was told it was very spicy/hot so I got mild...no heat/spice at all. Pad Thai was simply ok, quite bland. I love this place. Basically from these other reviews, if you like spicy maybe start off maybe less spicy than what you typically would order. Also, decor and music isnt anything exciting, I'm sure they get a ton of business from deliveries. However, if you're looking for Pho, this wouldn't be the place. On another note, I go here at least twice a month (it's probably more than that) for everything else because of the consistency and how good the food is. The first time I tried their fried rice, it was like tasting the most flavorful fried rice I've ever had. So good! But the main thing I order is their Green Curry. It's almost like a nice little pick me up with how warm and savory it is. I do this in MILD and it to someone who enjoys spicy food, I felt like this was definitely mild. Stopped in on a whim last night. After working the night away I realized I hadn't had dinner yet and the time was already 9:15 pm. I had a hankering for Asian food. Something with fresh veggies, sauteed Bok choy, eggplant or other. I stopped at two popular Asian spots nearby. Both turned me away, 30 - 20 minutes before 10 pm. That "ish" is irritating I tell you. Outside of "A Bite of Szechuan", I was back on my smartphone looking for an Asian restaurant open after 10 p that could service my needs. There was a glowing review by Paige W. of Pho's. (Btw, Paige is one of those Yelp greats. I think she's a great writer, I dig her style of writing and agree with her thoughts.) Her review was spot on in what I was hoping for. Green curry with chicken. Having a broth that is flavorful. I'm a fiend for appetizers so I ordered a couple not realizing I could have gotten the Crab Rangoons free with a Yelp check-in. I got the CR's and shrimp shumai. ($2.95 + $4.95) Which result in over 16 pieces of appetizers. And no I didn't eat'em all in one sitting. I wanted too though. With my entree I ordered an additional rice for a dollar more. Thoughts? Excellent. Per Paige's instructions I went with Medium spicy because I like spice. The order taker asked twice whether I thought I could handle it, warning that it would be very spicy. The broth was flavorful, a tad sweet but balanced with spice. Spicy enough to keep me pleasantly interested. By the end of the meal I was comatose. After 10 pm the restaurant is not open for dine-in, only carry out. Fell in love so much that went to try again tonight only to be told our order was not received despite the app from their website saying waiting on approval from the restaurant. After going back and forth with the rude person behind the register I decided to cancel my order. Had a groupon for $20 so we tried this place out. We ordered the veggie egg rolls for an appetizer and it looked better then it tasted. I think if they would have put more filling in it and not made it so thin it would have brought more flavor to the egg roll. We also had the Tom yum with chicken medium spiciness. Soup was good and spicy on a cold night. We ordered the lard nar and the spicy catfish for an entree. The lard nar was good but the gravy I thought was a little to thick and it really didn't have too many noodles. The spicy catfish was ok. Catfish didn't seem like it was seasoned well. Overall I can see why this place doesn't get too high in stars. The service doesn't seem to good but it's not too bad either. Well the name doesn't lie, Pho's is the SPICIEST Thai food I have ever had in my life. Since I normally dump copious amounts of chili sauce on my chicken pad Thai, I assumed a spicy pro like myself could handle the Medium level of hot.... Uber eats came thru and delivered within 20 mins my order. Pipping temperature hot and Medium level pad Thai spice is a meal that not even the spawn of Satan could handle. Only way I could salvage my meal was by rinsing my noodles multiple times under cold water, and even that didn't fully do the trick. To be fair, the menu warned medium was going to be spicy, but seriously, it was overkill. I might try again but am going to opt for the basic b*tch mild sauce. Also got the crab Rangoon, which while very fresh, was about the size of a silver dollar. read more

Pho's Spicier never and I mean NEVER disappoints! The best take out Phad Thai by far! Don't judge but we definitely order from here at least twice a week. Be careful with the Phad Thai and the spice levels though, make sure you look at their spice levels, I have very good spice tolerance and Mild Plus is just the perfect level of spice. If you're feelin dangerous they have a spice level challenge, where if you complete it, they actually put a picture of you on their wall... if that puts it into spicy perspective. Got Pad Thai and a tom yum soup with a medium spice and regretted it haha, I love spice but this was no joke.
