Very disappointing coming here on Saturday night. First They messed up my order and then the pad Thai was awful. It lacked sauce/flavor, and the noodles were overcooked. They messed up my order by giving me a different dish. I ordered larb moo krab, but gave my crispy pork salad instead . I admit it was good, but it's not what I order. Due to this experience I will not be going back

Came for dinner with a friend. Ordered the duck curry for my entree. I only eat duck a few times throughout the year. This duck was amazing! It was succulent, savory. It came in a broth/ soup that was spicy but not overwhelming. There was some vegetables and pineapple in it. Came with rice. Got a cucumber Martini that was ok.

Came to this spot for a quick Thai food fix and was happy to find their lunch special. The Pad Thai was good--not a standout, but no complaints at that price point, especially with a side included ($8.95). My husband's drunken noodles were very flavorful, and I also enjoyed the sai krog Isaan, which was an excellent side dish. I didn't order a drink, but I noticed they had a surprisingly extensive cocktail menu with some good deals. The interior was also really cool, with a lot of Thai film influence. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the Wrigleyville area looking for decently priced Thai food.

Walked here from our place on a Sunday evening- Cubs had played an afternoon game and we didn't want to have to drive anywhere in the area. Pleasantly surprised that there were many tables open and we could pick our spot. Inside is pretty and honestly much nicer than I expected! There's a large cocktail menu- I ordered a MaiTai and husband ordered a wrong island iced tea (get it ?;). Both were really tasty and quite strong. Shared eggrolls for the app- good but not great- a bit greasy. I ordered pad Thai with pork and it was delicious. Husband ordered panang noodles and it was good- but know that it is long on red and green peppers. Portions are adequate but not huge. Service was very good. We will return and try some other choices.

Very cool interior of the restaurant with a lot of Thai movie posters and artwork. The workers were very friendly and came to check on us very often which is always appreciated. After traveling to Thailand last year we were looking for our favorite dish that we tried which was Khao soi. We were very pleased that the khao soi and Thai iced tea were both very good! The green tea cheesecake was good, but kind of felt like a frozen and defrosted cake, so I would probably pass on that. I will definitely be returning for more Khao soi in the future!

I placed a takeout order from their website, so I really had no interaction with any of the staff members other than when I arrived to pick up my food. We ordered the usual, Chicken Satay, Pad See Ew for my wife and Pad Khee Mao for me. I've definitely had better Chicken Satay. The chicken was ok, but the salad it came with was not food and the peanut sauce to dip the chicken satay was not good at all. Way too watery and no flavor. I'm prefer my sauce thick so when you dip the chicken in, it sticks. The Pad See Ew came with chicken, stir fried noodles, broccoli, Chinese broccoli, egg and sweet soy sauce. I had a few bites and it was very delicious. My Pad Khee Mao was very tasty. I always ask for it extra spicy and it's a hit or miss. Not from here. It was indeed spicy. The Pad Khee Mao came with the same stir fried noodles, beef, brown sauce, basil, bean sprouts, and onions. Definitely a very filling dish and would order it again.

oh how I LOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEDDDD the prikking crispy pork dish here!! my mind was blown with how incredibly crispy the pork remained even after being doused with great wet sauce on top oh my god. even when it got cold it was still INCREDIBLY crispy. i would bring my family here just for that dish but idk if my moms teeth could handle that tbh. chicken satay is not the best i ever had maybe ranked a bit lower than others. duck curry was good i loved the sauce! thai tea was strong loved it. but i will never forget the crispy pork thank you! also, beautiful setting i am surprised that it was not packed.

From beginning to end the food was delicious! We started off with the veggie potstickers, I've never had potstickers with this consistency and creaminess inside! And just skillful preparation made that happen! I had the Penang noodle dish with crispy fat noodles, chicken and shrimp; it was very well done and so flavorful! I wanted to try a dish I don't usually get, and this did not disappoint! My friend got the duck curry and eat mouthful was met with another "Mm!!" We even got dessert, tiramisu, which was also yummy! The ambiance of the restaurant is unique with old movie posters all around. My only complaint was the music was a bit too loud and it was very Taylor Swift and Backstreet Boys-ish. The service was swift and we weren't kept waiting for anything.

Tac Quick is a very versatile restaurant because it's a great place for a good lunch special, dinner, or some fun cocktails! I don't have great pictures of the food because I got takeout this time, but their food comes out so fast, is often big portions, and is full of flavor. My go to order is the peanut curry noodle soup with tofu. It's a bit sweet and savory, and would be even better with a little kick of spice. This is a great restaurant for vegetarians because with most dishes, you can substitute the meat with tofu. Tac Quick has surprisingly good martinis. They have fun and unique flavors - Thai tea or lychee or sake. And they are strong! In the summer when their windows are open or the patio seating is available, it's a great place to grab a drink after work. The restaurant has a lot of seating and unless you have a really big group, you can usually get a table without a reservation. The restaurant is a two minute walk from the Sheridan red line or there is street parking on Irving. This is a good option if you need dinner after a Cubs game and want to get away from the craziness of Wrigley!

I've driven by this place multiple times and could never quite make out what kind of restaurant it was... but it always looked like a fun place. Finally walked over and checked it out. I love Thai food and Tac Quick did not disappoint. I started with the lychee martini and it was pretty good... a little sweeter than I prefer but that didn't stop me from gulping it down. My mother had an appletini and was quite happy with how it tasted (she's picky about her appletinis, too!). My mother ordered the chicken satay and cucumber salad, and confirmed that both were excellent. I had the pad see ew, which was also excellent. The noodles practically melted in my mouth. I don't love when the broccoli is so large I can't easily eat it in one bite, and I had to cut it with a knife to keep it manageable. Still delicious. We also ordered pot stickers, which did not look at all like a pot sticker I've ever seen. It did not taste anything like a pot sticker I've ever tasted. Whatever it was, though, I thought it was delicious and we ate them all!

This is our first visit and the food was overall good. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend the Pad Thai. The beef was good but very small portions for the price. The spring rolls were tasty but had too much cabbage. We will certainly give this another try soon.

Styrofoam packaging melted from deep fried calamari.
    TJ H.

Love this place! Has great food, and we actually ordered catering from here for our engagement party last year (we got engaged in Thailand so there was a theme). One thing I'd recommend is changing the delivery container for the calamari. I love the calamari here, but it literally is melting the styrofoam container that is a little unsettling to think about eating (see picture). Either they need to cool the calamari before putting it in from straight from the fryer, or change the packaging.

Indeed, this spot did not let me down! It is a small Thai restaurant in West Loop, with a large menu featuring monthly specials and quite a few dishes I rarely find in other Thai restaurants in U.S. For food, we ordered the following: 1. Khao Ka Moo: a stewed pork hock platter served with rice, pickled mustard greens, shitake mushrooms, sauce (similar to soy-sauce) and egg (which I opted out). It was my first time to have pork hock in a Thai restaurant. The meat was juicy and the skin was mouth-melting. Highly recommended. 2. JJ Tiger Cry: Basically grilled ribeye served with Thai style sides. The ribeye was cooked at ~medium well. I wish it could be a fattier cut and cooked for a shorter time, but my friend thought the temp. was perfect for her. It was served with a Thai sauce and cabbage+carrot slaw. 3. Green Curry Chicken: my sister's entree. The curry tasted refreshing and flavorful. It was also great that the dish came with both rice noodles and jasmine rice, so you can try both of them -- indeed, the rice noodles, after soaking it in the green curry, tasted heavenly! 4. Yum Hed. Grilled mushroom salad. There were shitake and king oyster mushroom. Served over a bed of fresh lettuce and a kind of spciy, sour sauce. Great as a side. 5. Guay Tiew Tom Tum Koong: Shrimp and rice noodles served in a generous bowl of Tom Yum Soup. It also had much veg. Unfortunately, I am allergic to some seafood so for safety I did not try this dish. Overall, the dishes are of medium sizes, but definitely enough for us. Service was friendly and quick. I may try more dishes the next time I visit Chicago.

The food was completely underwhelming, and when we shared our concerns with the staff, nothing was done to address them. The service was equally disappointing. Our server spent much of the time sitting on her phone while we waited for basic service like water refills, being asked about drinks, and receiving the drinks we ordered. We repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to receive attention. As for the food, the gyoza was bland and tasted like unseasoned pork. The lemongrass beef stew curry, which was highly recommended, arrived cold, had an odd texture, and lacked any real flavor. Most shocking of all were the drunken noodles. I've ordered them countless times over the years and always considered them among the best in Chicago. This time, I couldn't get past a single bite. Every dish was left unfinished. We didn't finish a single plate and didn't take any leftovers home--something that never happens for us. Between the poor service and incredibly disappointing food, this was an awful dining experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, after being a longtime customer, I won't be returning.

Cuisine: 4 stars - We ordered Basil Rice, to share. The flavor was different than what I have been served elsewhere. More sour than sweet. I think a better balance between sour and sweet would be better. Also, elsewhere, the rice and ground chicken are served tossed together. Here, the rice and chicken arrive on separate plates. It's difficult to mix sticky rice and chicken on a flat place. Nevertheless, the meal was completely acceptable; just a bit different. Service: 4 stars - The server was polite and friendly.
