This is the 6th one in 40 years. It was a brand I've never had before, and never will get another one.(Lockinvar) this was the only kind I was able to purchase at that time from them. 6 months ago, the bottom element went out so I had them come out and of course the warranty was only 2 years so I paid $500 for them to install a new element. All of a sudden the water was reaching the 2nd bathroom quicker than when the Water heater was installed. Three days ago the water heater tripped the circuit breaker, then last night the bottom element went out. I called and I was told that I was still under warranty so no charge for the service call, or replacement of that element. I get here and the Technician started arguing with me telling me that he will replace it but there will be no two year warranty on this, because the water heater is 6 years old, which it is 5 years old per my paperwork from the installation. When it was worked on 6 months ago, they put a cheaper element in the water heater but charged the most they could for the installation. They sold me a bad water heater to begin with and charged high on the repair, then put in a lower quality element during that repair and here we are six months later and the element went out again. I will not be using them again.

We live in an old house, so it sadly came with the territory and we had to hire their services for repairs that were beyond our skill level. Our trust with them came to a screeching halt when the time came that I needed to speak with management. We've had an almost 3-year HVAC issue, where five different technicians kept doing leak searches (and charged us for all of them) with no offers for long-term solutions. After my initial call to hopefully address this, it took about a week for them to send me a text offering the minimum possible resolution without even speaking to me. Conveniently, the call-back number they sent didn't work, either. It just goes to show that their management doesn't have the professionalism or courage to have actual conversations with loyal customers. They all hide behind the veil of their customer experience team who unfortunately don't make the decisions. I've never been so relieved to move on from a company whose leadership doesn't value their members.

The furnace tech diagnosed the furnace as needing at least a new control board and couldn't be sure other parts weren't bad. The furnace was full of ice. Based on the price of the potential repairs, it made more sense to replace the furnace. The installers arrived first thing the next morning and we had heat around lunch time. Everyone from Chapman was clean, courteous and did great work. It wasn't cheap for any of this, but we feel that the prices were reasonable, especially since we were 100% done the very next day.

He had all kinds of pieces laying on the floor and he diagnosed it as the drain line being frozen up, not clogged. He was able to get it back together and working again, even less than an hour. part of the problem is we had the temperature set too low. We were very impressed.

My washing machine was making a weird and very loud noise so I called them. They were able to schedule me to fit into my busy schedule. Fixing the noise turned out to be a simple job, no parts, minimal labor. What impressed me the most was the high level of knowledge and experience of the technician. I learned my washer is near the end of its life cycle because some components are worn out. It makes more sense and would be more cost effective to replace the washer than replace the worn out parts. I can still use the machine and do my laundry but I now know my timeline of when to replace the machine. My out of pocket expense today was the $119 basic service call charge because no parts were needed and the labor to repair it was very minimal. I was notified 30 minutes in advance of their arrival time.
