What is the price for kid earrings as of April 2024?

Thank you and it is best for you to contact the office directly at 310-233-3209.

Hi there, I have 2 questions: 1) Does Dr. Liu accept new patients? 2) Does Dr. Liu speak Mandarin?…

Wen, thank you for your inquiry. Dr. Liu is accepting new patients and she speaks Cantonese and some Spanish, I don't believe she speaks Mandarin. Hope this information is helpful.

Would you be interested in occasionally leasing a small room for a doctor to conduct QME exams on a per diem basis?

Thank you for your interest but this is not something we are able to accommodate. Best of luck to you.

What's your phone number? The number listed is not working

The office phone number is (310) 233-3209. Please let us know if this is the same number you have. You can also reach out to our physician referral line at (310) 891-6717 for further assistance.

I was wondering do you take the insurance champ va or know if anyone that does take it . My son needs to be seen by a pediatrician?

Darlene, unfortunately we do not accept this insurance. Perhaps you can call them directly and find out where they can direct you. Best of luck to you.

Hi! Is this a doctors office or is it just for piercing?

This is a pediatrician doctors office. Thank you.

I am having the same issue with the phone number. Is there another number available? The one provided on Yelp seems to be disconnected.

Maria, thank you for your inquiry and our sincere apologies the trouble you had in getting through to Dr. Liu’s office. There was an issue with their phone lines since yesterday and was just resolved. Please try at (310) 233-3209. Thank you.

Is there an updated phone number? The number I am dialing from Yelp says the phone is disconnected?

Good afternoon, the number displayed is correct - (310) 233-3209. Hope this helps!

Do you perform hearing and eye screenings?

Hello Nataly, yes, Dr. Liu does perform hearing and eye screenings. Please call her office at (310) 233-3209 to ask any further questions and/or set up an appointment. Thank you.

    Do you accept medi-cal?

No, we do not have a contract to accept Medi-Cal.

Hello there! So I already have earrings for my daughter that were gifted to her from her grandparents, may we still use those? If so, is the cost any different? Being a (non-patient)

The earrings we use to pierce come sterilized in a packet and are made to fit the piercing gun so we can not use any outside earrings. You can change to grandparents earrings after 6 weeks from the piercing.

Wondering about training stud? Aftercare instructions said can be removed after 6-10 weeks. But what is the training stud and how do you remove? I'm unclear...can I just leave it in forever? Lol

Training stud is the earrings we use to pierce the ears. They are specially sized to fit into the gun. The posts are slightly larger diameter so that after 6 weeks when you take them out the holes won't close up. You remove them by just pulling… Read more

What the price do they do one at a time or at the same time and they numb the aer for babys?

Since I am the only one performing the piercing we have to do one ear at a time. We do not numb the ears, the piercing is so fast that there really is minimal pain. The babies get more upset about us holding them still then from the pain of the… Read more

Sorry one more question....do you do both ears at the same time? Just worried about how she'll do with 2nd if she's screaming after the 1st. Thanks!

Unfortunately there is only one of me so I have to do one side at a time. Most babies cry because they are mad that you are making them sit still than because of the actual ear piercing.

Do you have to be a patient or can you just make an appt for the ear piercing?? Thanks

You do not have to be a patient of our practice to have your baby/child's ears pierced here. We prefer babies to have at least had their 2 month old shots.

Is this piercing done with a gun or needle?

The piercing is done with a gun, much quicker. The earrings are what actually pierces the ears so each earring set comes sterilized and individually wrapped.

How much is it to pierce baby ears?

Ear piercing cost $85, it includes earrings, cleaning solution and the ear piercing.

However, we were really disappointed by the clinic's policy on late arrivals. We were only 10 minutes late, with a toddler in tow, and it was our very first visit. Life with little ones can be unpredictable, and we expected a little understanding. Instead, we were charged a $50 fee, which they refused to waive, even after we explained the situation. We understand the importance of timeliness, but a bit of grace would have gone a long way, especially for new families trying to find the right care team. It left us feeling more like a number than valued patients. Great provider, but the rigid policy and lack of flexibility took away from an otherwise positive experience

At some point, Dr. Chuang joined the practice and I think he eventually took it over. We really liked Dr. Wu, but we absolutely love Dr. Chuang. The medical care is exceptional, but the office's billing system and front desk management are so disorganized and dishonest that I can no longer remain silent. I feel it is important to warn other parents about the administrative nightmares I have faced here. In October 2025, I brought both of my children in specifically for flu vaccines. I was explicitly told by the office staff that there would be no copay for flu shots. However, during a follow-up visit on January 8th for my eldest child's fever, the front office nurse suddenly claimed I owed a copay for the October visit. When I questioned this, she admitted the mistake and assured me she would remove the charge. Today, I received separate bills for both children with completely conflicting and nonsensical information: For my eldest: They claim I didn't pay the $25 copay for the January visit. This is false. I paid it on the spot, but they now claim that payment was applied to the October flu shot visit because I supposedly "asked a question" to the doctor, which they coded as a full office visit without any prior notice. For my youngest: They are charging a copay for the October flu shot visit. My youngest ONLY received the vaccine and no medical questions were asked, yet they are still demanding a copay and told me to "call my insurance" instead of fixing their own internal error. It is incredibly frustrating to be told one thing in person and then receive a completely different bill months later. The lack of transparency and the office's refusal to take responsibility for their billing errors is unacceptable. It's a shame that such a high-quality doctor is represented by such a disorganized and unprofessional front office. As much as I like the doctor, I cannot recommend this practice due to these dishonest and stressful billing practices. What hurts the most is that I genuinely wanted to support this local practice. Since I have a PPO insurance plan, I don't need a referral and could have easily gone to a local pharmacy or Costco for these flu vaccines. I chose to pay for parking and drive all the way here specifically to support the doctor's business. To be met with such dishonest billing practices and unprofessional excuses in return is deeply disappointing. I will no longer be going out of my way to support a clinic that treats its loyal patients this way.
