I went her for a TRIM on my split ends. The guy who cut my hair thinned out my hair without my consent. He told me how much hair I had I said I knew that I thinned it out myself and he said "I do for you" I said "no it's ok" and during my Cut I was turned away from the mirror.. when I saw my hair I nearly cried. This was my first time coming here and will be my new go-to salon. May is so nice and did such a great job on my hair. I asked for an A-line long bob at collarbone length. I showed her a reference picture. She did it perfectly like how I wanted. My hair is extremely thin, so it's hard to keep it long and healthy. I prefer cutting my hair short. Having it short in the back gives volume and having it long in the front frames my face. I also just love the maintenance of short hair and how it always looks so bouncy and healthy. At first, she thought I was afraid of having it too short in the back so it was still longer than I preferred. I told her I wanted it neck length at the back and she took the time to adjust everything for me! I felt so bad, but she was so kind. She was very meticulous and patient throughout. Also, I don't mind paying a good amount for my hair stylist. She was very affordable, so I made sure to give her a generous tip for being so meticulous (I'm very specific about how I want my hair). I cut my hair twice a year, so I don't mind shelling out for my hair. Overall, I'm very happy at the result and I'll never go to another hair stylist as long as I'm in town. read more

I've trusted Annie and her staff to cut my hair since I was in the 3rd grade (I'm 30 now). This salon has done perms for me, styled my hair for proms and weddings, you name it. Annie is the kindest soul and has the most amazing hand skills! I just came in to cut off about 16 inches of my hair for Wigs for Kids. Annie cut my hair into a beautiful bob style and she took her time and styled it with a blowdryer, hair straightener, and so many of her tools of the trade. While we were catching up, she told me about how her business was closed for 2 months during COVID lockdown and how she was restless and couldn't wait to go back to work. Annie is so kind, hardworking, and patient! This establishment is unique for its down to earth service and its emphasis on customer satisfaction. Our appointment started at 5PM and she worked on my aunt's ombré until 12:30AM. My aunt is happy (& somewhat surprised) with the results and plans to remain a loyal customer because of Annie's excellent service and expertise. Although there are some orange tints in my aunt's hair, converting from black to blonde is a huge feat to achieve in one visit. Another thing to note about this establishment is the owner's dog, Happy. The stray strutted in two days ago "like a customer" and Annie adopted her and keeps her at the shop. I was looking for a new place to get a hair cut. I have been getting fades since high school. I went both times during the day when it was very slow. I got my hair cut twice by the only male in the place. I believe his name is Andy. First hair cut, It seems like he was in a hurry even though there was no waiting customers. But the hair cut was ok if that, fade was not really straight and was way to high, started to taper at the top instead of straight. I also had to walk back in because he missed two spots behind both ears where he just forgot a huge patch of hair. Second time I came back again to give him another shot thinking maybe I was not clear enough on what I wanted. The establishment is also close to me. The same situation as before no wait and no waiting customers. I am real clear on what I want, I tell him I want a fade, I mean the guy cutting my hair has a fade. This time he just butchers my hair, if you can actually do that with a fade. It was like he was in a hurry, I had to stop in mid way, because I could tell by how far up he was cutting it was wrong. I told him does my hair look anything like you, and he said nothing... I pretty much walked out looking like I asked almost for a mowhawk and stopped him half way in. I have never walked out with out paying in any food or service scenario, but this was seriously the worst hair cut I have gotten. I would look else where for a hair cut. read more

Look for May when you go there, she is the sweetest and the most friendly hair cosmetologist you can find in Houston. Always have the patience to get your hair done with a smile on her face and always look for conversations to make sure you are not too bored sitting there for 30 minutes. It was a great experience starting with the fabulous shampoo followed by an awesome hot oil treatment. I had not had my hair cut in over 15 months. My hair is long and color treated so it was in terrible shape. It looks and feels great now - Annie really listened to what I had to say. Annie does a nice job cutting hair. I have had good experience with her cutting my hair. There are better salons if you want to perm your hair though. For me, a four-hour perm ended up to be more than eight hours. There was gluey stuff stuck to my hair after the perm and she was pulling my hair really hard to get them out. The curves look nice from the back but I had to go through a lot of pain which honestly just wasn't right! I lost about 1/5 of my hair in the front either due to her pulling so hard on my hair or the cheap chemical that was used so I look a bit bald in the front and certain areas of my scalp in the front are still sore to touch. The chemical used had a very strong odor which I have never had in other hair salons. It's quite devastating to know that now I have to wait for my hair to grow back to look normal. Hopefully the remaining of my hair won't start falling out. I usually get compliments when I get my hair curved. But my friends are just feeling sorry for me after this perm. read more
