I explained what I needed for one of my examinations coming up next month, and asked me a few questions to make sure it was me on the phone. Horrible. Impossible to reach anyone.. they don't even have a voicemail or email. If you need a simple birth control refill it will take 25 minutes on hold, leave a message with a secretary, and then another few days to get in touch with someone who will actually send it. Not to mention my delivery experience was traumatic due to a membrane sweep gone wrong, causing a placenta abruption. and she could not be reached. read more

I'll add this for a friend. She did not know of dr frenkel, but I question how she has a license after what I heard. Short tempered staff and a long wait, only for tattoos she has to.... Well she was railroaded and insulted, uncared for, and thankfully I found the reviews, she was able to run as fast as she could to someone who is actually a doctor, not just a skin sack with a diploma. I will not share her full story as I do not want this hurting her, although I am posting with blessing. The positive reviews on here, at least the early ones, are either sheer luck or a ratings mill. It is also possible they wore a MAGA hat, because from what I was told (and I trust this person with my life and my children's ) they was a sure fire way to get good treatment. My politics and way of life do not matter, nor do my friends. AS A DOCTOR she took an oath, one which I hazard she does not believe or fulfill. I can't believe she is still practicing. But then the Bellmore office in general has never had anybody good or professional. Because I was in pain and bleeding,I had to make an appointment after my annual check up . when I got there I waited almost 2 hours. The doctor seemed annoyed because she was planning her Disney vacation and was leaving that day. As a matter of fact let me know that she was being held up because of my appointment! She did not even examine me, just looked right at me and said that I had just been there for my annual recently! I immediately made an appointment with Garden OBGYN and everything was so much better. BEWARE!!! The absurdly long wait in the waiting room is the least of the horrors with this practitioner unfortunately. I am truly shocked her license to practice has not been revoked YET. I came in for an emergency surgery, which she started in her office and then told me she realizes she doesn't have all of the equipment she needs, so she sent me home, driving myself, with SEVERE bleeding, crying in excrutiating pain, and with an incomplete surgery. She told me to schedule to continue with her coworker who had no openings for the next 2 months. I found another practice who got me in first thing the next day and completed the surgery before I got an infection from the open wound Annie left. On top of that, Annie never once reached out to see how I was doing or to try to get me into the ER or an emergency appt within her practice. I would never recommend her to anyone. 5 stars for Dr. A. Frenkel. However, wait time is still over an hour even after arriving 30mins prior to appointment time, with 3 patients already waiting. Another 5-7 more patients came after and all left while I still wait there, which means they were all seen on time. I had to cancel my next doctor appointment due to the delay here and now need to pay no show fee. Receptionist was aware that i came in early, and needed to get out on time for next appointment. Previous appointment, i waited at least 2 hours. Thank God I only have to do this annually. read more

There are four things I judge all my doctors on. 1. Where we're they educated 2. How knowledgable they are 3. Wait time 4. Bedside manner If you are a patient person with no life or set schedule and you don't mind repeating your medical condition, and health history every time you come for a check up then this is your dr. Wait times range 45 min to 2 hours expect other people, last min walk in s to be seen before you. This office is ran like a state free clinic. The doctors nurse asks your history every time you visit it's like they keep none of your information on file. Very annoying the staff is very dysfunctional and unorganized. If your looking for an exceptional experience where you feel cared for throughout your pregnancy this is definantly not the place for you. The doctors second office is in woodmere, NY inside a pediatrics office. What pregnant women wants to wait with sick kids when she can't take antibiotics and her immunity is at its weakest. I'm sorry but this is just poorly though out. Lastly when a doctor doesn't even know how to use a sonogram properly and miss diagnosis you, that's when you run. I literally felt beat up at my final visit with dr.frankel she was pushing on my abdomen so hard trying to see inside my uterus, then a she was shoving the wand inside my vagina causing me to bleed for more than three days after the visit making me feel like I was miscarrying. Thank GD I did not miscarry. She had no idea that when you move the wand to one end it shows you the other side of the uterus making it look like you have two sacs. This doctor has few reviews and I want to be sure other when don't have to experience the unorganized horror show that is this doctors practice. I highly advise you find another doctor. read more

I had a non-routine sonogram at Dr Frenkel's office. I was told by the Technician to call for the results in one week, if I did not hear from the doctor.After one week, I did not hear from Dr Frenkel, so I called the office. I was told by staff, the doctor or nurse practitioner would have to speak with me. Neither called me back. I called again for the results on week two. I was told there was a notation on the results that stated, only the doctor could speak with me, and she was not available, and would not be available for the rest of the week. I demanded to have the results. I waited approximately 20 minutes for someone to read the notes regarding the test. They were very concerning. What they meant, or how to interpret the severity of the findings was not available information to me. I was told to wait for a call from the doctor. She never called. I called the office again on week three, and plead to have the doctor call me by the end of office hours. I am experiencing discomfort and want answers. I call back at the end of day, only to find out the doctor went home. She couldn't or wouldn't give me 10 minutes of her time after asking, demanding and pleading for results, so that I can move forward. Her indifference is at best negligence, and possibly malpractice. It's been three weeks! Would she accept this level of care for her mother? I think not. read more

I didn't actually get to meet Dr. Frankel as getting an appointment with her is like finding an elf. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and decided to go the IVF route and I needed to find a high-risk gynecologist due to my age. I had to make an appointment TWO MONTHS in advance to see the doctor and even took the day off and guess what? They have no record of my appointment!! After spending over an hour on the phone (the lady who works there was very sweet and considerate) she told me someone would call me from the other office to set up an appointment....which never happened. So now I pushed back my family planning for a doctor who I never got to see. So thanks for wasting 2 months of my life. read more

I was supposed to be a new patient And needed to be seen soon for many reasons, I was from out of town trying to establish care, I am late for my second appointment due to the move and scheduled with this practice arrived to NY Dec20 and scheduled for the 6th my appointment was scheduled in Bellmore only to be moved to Woodmere only to be cancelled because DR.Frenkel had surgery that day. Why didn't we know there was a surgery scheduled a week or two before?? Why wasn't I notified sooner? I was notified the Friday before that Monday. Now what am I to do?! I was told I would be called back by the scheduling manager, that never happened. However the woman I did speak to offered me an appointment almost 30 days later. During working hours, thanks but no thanks. I start my new job on the 9th which is a full time job and on probation for 3 months now how am I to get seen?! . You screw up and I get the appointment that people calling the same day are getting smh Thank you to this practice for for wasting my two weeks before work and not notifying me so I could find another doctor. Some of us have work to do and not free time to just be looked over. Also did I mention I am a military veteran and the VA doesn't have an OB for me to be seen with so this practice was supposed to fit me in due to my medical history urgency and needs as a veteran. They totally screwed that up as well. Dr Frenkel was the worst Dr i have been to. The office staff were rude and it was impossible to get anyone on the phone. I was told I need a procedure in the hallway next to the patient bathroom ! The wait times for appointments are close to 2 hours because she overbooks appointments. They whole staff lacked empathy and do not follow up. When I called to find out when my procedure would be the Dr had never even written anything in my chart about needing something done. I was my own Dr, being brushed off and having no questions answered. I went back to my old on who was amazing but just far from me. They found complications immediately that were life threatening. If i would had had a procedure with frenkel I could have died. Now I have learned of 2 others that went to her and had similar experiences with this woman and had to find a new dr. She never returns call, not as caring as people say she is. She didn't order my Glucose test until I was 29 weeks, when it should be done between 24-28, turns out I have gestational diabetes. I was calling her office for weeks and when I finally got through, her assistant Donna was rude and nasty. I'm supposed to be treated as a high risk patient due to me having gestational diabetes and having twins and I just feel like I've been treated like crap, plus the first time we met she barley to touched me and sanitized her hands like 6xs. Idk what that's all about. I've been trying to find a new doctor to do my c section but due to me being so far along I really have no choice but to use her as the other doctor's are booked. I would say I'm not coming back here anymore but favorite gynecologist works at this location, I'm just leaving a comment incase something happens. As a black woman were dying during child birth at a high rate due to doctors like her, I just hope she doesn't purposely Nick an artery or deprive one or both of my twins of oxygen due to my complaints. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Frenkel. She's amazing. I have been going to the Bellmore and Woodmere location. She answer all my questions, alway return calls within 15 min and office wait is very minimum. Just have my 3rd baby in Aug. she made me feel comfortable and at ease during the pregnancy. read more

Dr. Frankel is the most sincere, thoughtful, experienced Doctor I've ever been to. I've been going to the Woodmere location for about 5 years now and the most I would wait is 15 minutes. She really cares about her patients truly and warms up the room with her smile and compassion for me personally. Reading other people views on her contradicts mine own and they all have a common thread of the wait time and the staffs behavior. I frankly don't see how you can compare the receptionist and other workers in the office to Dr. Frankel. Because you had a bad experience with them doesn't lower her qualifications. And last time I checked she doesn't book her own appointment, the receptionist do so if you want to blame or give a bad rating to anyone, make it the receptionist or people who have you attitude. read more

Excellent Doctor. I don't know why people are saying bad stuff about her. I had an amazing experience with her. My first appointment was supposed to be to meet her instead I ended up having a miscarriage so I ended up seeing her about that. She told me that I could either let it pass or have a D and C. I chose D and C. She did a great job. I followed up on my next few visits with pap smears and mamo grams. She explained it all to me. I would highly recommend this doctor. Yes, her wait time is long but it's worth it in the end. read more
