I am giving them 1 star because I cannot give Zero stars on yelp. Literally every part of my interaction with this company has been awful. I had an email exchange with someone from this business and was further disrespected. In the store I was told that we do not do this sort of thing here when I requestsd a bra fitting as a trans woman. I was further told to tell others like me this. When we interacted there were multiple opportunities to deny service that didn't include blatant transphobia, but this is the approach that was chosen. I went on to email the owner about this Awful service s I received. My concerns were dismissed. I was gas lit regarding them not providing the service. Their website clearly states that they do measurements for bra fitting. The attendant was willing to assist me until she asked that I was trans. The email also stated that they had other customers they were focused on. Their tone was incredibly dismissive of my concerns. If they were busy maybe there would be grounds for this. Unfortunately for their narrative there were two customers in the store counting me. If you are a trans woman if an ally, please avoid these people. They are wildly unprofessional. And frankly transphobic. Nothing about my interaction was pleasant. Tldr I was denied service based on being trans. They are incredibly rude the entire time I've tried to reconcile this. These women are battle axes. Staff is unfriendly, at best, mostly loof, inattentive, unhelpful, and rude. I am rather hard to fit, with small band around, but large cups (30G), so, I was happy to find somewhere kind of close (I live in STL south city) where I could find bras and swimwear that fit. They have what I need, but, I hate spending any money here (4th visit) because their customer service is SO bad, but, to my knowledge, they are the only specialty "size" shop in town......until 2 months ago (more on this later). So, I have been buying 2-3 bras each visit, at an average price of $65 each, and feeling mad about it when I left. arrggghhhh. I also bought a swimsuit by SUNSETS, which was adorable, buying separate bra sizes for bikini top---I found the same suit on-line this year, which I would recommend by all costs. Both locations are similar. They both have cheap, uncomfortable dressing rooms, and store is outdated & cheesy - indoor/outdoor carpet with lattice on walls. ugh. They do have huge inventory. So, this is my recommendation: get fitted for your correct & current size, try on several different bras, take pics of bra label or tag with your Iphone, and buy them online or anywhere else - Ebay had a few of specialty brands in wide range of sizes for half to third of prices. Another tip: new shop in Webster Grove called Sugar Magnolia. This shop is A.DOR.A.BLE. and the owner & employee are wonderful. This shop is lingerie, not just bras. She has variation of sizes (I bought one, and ordered a strapless), nighties, panties, bra & panty sets, unique tights, locally made soaps, & fragrances. What an experience ! I have a very unique figure and often times I leave bra stores frustrated and sad. Ally, the specialist, was a complete joy. Super helpful and knowledgable. I tried on about 15 bras. Most bras shops only can provide me 3 or 4 bras to try on and often times I leave empty-handed. Overall, my visit was a pleasure! I'll be back for sure. read more

Twice a year, I drive from the Springfield IL area to Ann's for bras. Whenever I've asked to be measured in my local stores, I've never been told the right size. I've asked to be measured by Ann's twice and they are spot on! I am unable to find bras in my size in my immediate area and love that they have a stock of larger cup sizes that I can try on. I've tried ordering through catalogs before but it's such a pain to return the bras that don't fit correctly. Today, a friend went with me and when she was measured, discovered she was buying too big of a cup. She ended up purchasing a few bras as did I and both of us were very happy with our visit. Kudos to Irene and Sandra who fitted us and found bras that worked for us! It's well worth the drive! read more

The manager is the most incredibly rude smart a** that I've ever met. I told her I took off work that day to come to her store to make a return. She said she didn't believe me. ??? She basically called me a liar more than once. The first time I was there, they crammed me in to a 28. The other day when I was there they measured me at 32. She said it was my fault that they didn't measure me right the first time, not theirs. I couldn't even believe this woman. This place is a joke. It's dirty. There's been a big dog running around INSIDE the store both times I was there. That's seems unsanitary in a lingerie shop. What a horrible experience. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. FIrst off I'm a 34H so finding a bra in that size is hard and thought this place would be perfect. I was in fitting room with a new fitter and she was trying me on in all the wrong sizes finally almost in tears said I'm done I just want out of this fitting room. Leaving I saw rack of clearance swimsuits and found one I liked. I took up to counter to pay and she said wasn't on clearance even though was on that rack and was very rude. I was so upset about all afternoon I decided to call the store manager to tell her about which I never do and she was even ruder. She said she didn't believe a word I said and her sales lady was nicest person in world and goes to church every sunday. So needless to say I will not be back and be telling everyone I know to avoid as well. read more

I shopped here once before and they weren't nice at all but they are the only boutique close to home. I went back today a year and half after my reduction and they were rude again. After trying 6 different styles (2 different sizes) the lady was frustrated with me that I didn't simply just fit. She tried to force bra cups onto me so I would fit into a bra. She even told me to put my shirt on over the bras so I could see how they look, disregarding the fact that I said I wasn't comfortable. When she went back to get me another size she talked to the other sales person like I wasnt even in the store. Then after trying on 4 more and her saying "well you either have to wear it too big or too small. Sensing her frustration I told her I would just go back to wearing sport bras for a bit longer and come back (everyone has bad days right). As I left she was venting to the other sales lady and stated I was rude, not willing to just try them out, and that is "just not how you act" and then wished me a Merry Christmas as I walked out the door. I am buying an $80 bra for comfort and proper fit, if I wanted a bra that looked good under my shirt and fitted terrible I would go to Walmart and spend $20. I am in tears and will NEVER shop here again. I will drive to St Louis instead. read more

When I had my daughter we will put it lightly that my breast augumentation + being a new mama= no longer fit in Victoria Secret. At the same time my mom had just lost a breast from breast cancer and was too ashamed to go get a bra for someone that is missing a breast. I convinced her that even though I COULD go without a bra that I wasn't going to. I came in and was measured and HOLY HECK had a rude awakening of what my new size was. I didn't even know they made that size. My mother kept looking around trying to lighten the mood that one cup of my "new size" is the size of a freaking beanie cap and tried to find cute bras which they did have. They even had breast feeding style ones which I needed. Throughout all of my mom's pleasure of reminding me that I paid to have big boobs and now I'm blessed with humongous ones we got comfortable with one of the saleswomen. I asked to see the ones that would benefit my mother. Although it was hard for my mom she finally felt comfortable buying a bra that she didn't have to stick a large make shift inplant in and pin it to her current bra. She finally got a bit of her confidence back. I am thankful for the help here in both the situations we had. Also they have swimsuits as well. read more

What a bad experience! Their new procedure requires you to have a doctors prescription before you can even be fitted for a prosthetic bra. Ok, I called my doctor and asked that they send one. The salesperson said they would call me after they received it to set up a fitting. Ok, after I hadn't heard from them for over a week, I called to see if they received it. They looked and said "No". I called the doctor and was told they sent it the same day I requested it. I called Ann's back, they looked again and found it. They said they couldn't get me in for a fitting fir two weeks. Now I'm up to three weeks of waiting. When I was fitted for a mastectomy bra it felt to snug but was told it was just because my current bra was way to loose. I purchased two at the size she suggested. Bad idea on my part. After I had one on for about ten minutes I knew it was way to tight. The next day I took them back and told them I needed to exchange them for a larger band size. They didn't have them in the store and suggested I purchase some band extender! (This is what I waited three weeks to be fitted for, to be told to buy some band extenders)! By this time I'm running out of patience. I just wanted to buy 2 bras that fit! I was told they would need to order them and it would take about 2 weeks and they would call me when they came in. (Don't ever believe them when they tell you that). After three weeks I called them and was told, in an incredulous tone, that it can take 4-6 weeks for them to come in! She said they just got an order in and she would check to see if they were in it and she would call me back later that day. After waiting 3 days and not hearing from her I called them again. I got a recording so I left a message that I hadn't heard from them and could they call me. They did not. At this point I was done. I looked on line and saw that I could order the same bras on line at "HPFY STORES" I purchased four so shipping was free and I got them in four days. Bye Bye Ann's. P.S. Excellent shop! I fluctuated in size with babies and weight gain and loss. These bras hold up and everyone I have encountered has been friendly and knowledgable. They also have a buy five or six and get one free! I can't remember the specifics. I'm taking my daughter in now because decent teen bras are hard to find. I'll report back. read more

I was fitted for a bra at closing (not recommended) and paid a small fortune due to my size. Of course, to wear it you have to remove the hard plastic tag on it, which I did BEFORE reading the receipt stating no returns without original tag attached. Needless to say, this is the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE torture apparatus!!!!! I have never worn a bra so painful in my life. I am returning to Vicki's Secret for my bra needs!!!! read more

I was traveling from Springfield, IL back home here in Florida this past Monday, after participating in the Lincoln Funeral re-enactment and saw one of your billboards. I decided to stop by your O'Fallon shop. The young lady, with blonde hair, was the one that greeted me as I walked in. She introduced herself and then asked me what type of bra I was looking for and any concerns that I have. After I gave her my answers, we stepped into one of the dressing rooms. She was very professional in how she helped me. I wound up buying 1 strapless bra and 2 strapped bras. I then went to lunch and thought about one of the other strapless bras that she had me try on, but did not have the correct size. The more I thought about that bra, the more I liked it. After I finished my lunch, I went back to your shop and ordered that bra. Even though I live in North Florida, I could never find a strapless bra that I liked or fit me. If you want to be disrespected and feel unwelcome, come to Ann's. I called 15 min to close to see if they could handle a bra fitting in a short amount of time. They said to come. I was right around the corner. Took me about 60 seconds to get there. 1. The lady measured me and gave me a bra with the same exact band size as my exact band measurement she just took (40) which was too tight as it was exact on the largest hook. Oh well. Then she wanted to give me a 46! I said I didn't think 6 inches would be necessary. So she gave me a 44. Too big. Then a 42 and just as I thought it was perfect. I don't know how this logic was lost on her. But not a big deal. Then... 2. At 5:57 a lady came back and said in a rude (you're a nuisance) tone "she (the lady I was working with) has to leave because she has to go pick up her kids." I said "I can go if I'm causing a problem but I didn't think you were closed yet." I showed her my watch that said 5:57. "And I called and you said to come anyway." (Why the tone and why make me feel like I'm in the way when you're not even closed yet?) 3. I quickly changed, politely hung up the 4-5 bras in the dressing room and then walked briskly to the front. I stopped and said (in a frustrated but intentionally not disrespectful tone) "I don't want to be disrespectful but the way you spoke to me made me not want to come back here. Why was it necessary to talk to me that way with that tone? To tell me that she had to pick up her kids?" You know what she said in an even more disrespectful tone: "She HAD to go pick up her kids." I said, "she had to leave before her shift is over?" and pointed to the store clock on the wall behind the register that still read before 6 o'clock (5:59). She said again with much defensiveness, "she had to pick up her kids! She lives 30 min away!!So I said "so why did I need to know that?" And she said "I was telling you why I was taking over for her." And I replied "And why did you need to say it in that way- like I'm in the way before you even close?" She continued with her defensiveness. And shrugged. 4. So I said "you just lost a purchase because of the way you talked to me." (Their bras are $70!) SHE SHRUGGED AND HAS TURNED AWAY FROM ME AT THIS POINT. "And I will never come back to this store because of the way I've been treated." SHE SHRUGGED AGAIN. "Are you the store owner?" "No I'm not" I just shook my head and left. So Ann, 1. Why do you hire women who think a snug bra needs 6 inches of room? But more importantly... 2. Are you okay with how your other employee lost you my business without even trying to handle this in a calm, non-defensive way after already speaking disrespectfully to me, making me feel like I've overstayed my welcome before the store closes, and then shrugged (instead of trying to work things out with me) when I said she'd cost you my business. If one of your bras costs $70 and I would need 5, she just cost you $350 (not that I would have bought today because I only had 15 min). And not only that, but she cost you any future business (from me for when these bras would have worn out). And not only that, but also any business you would have gotten from me telling my friends to go to your store. And not only that, but any business you would have gotten from people reading this post who will think twice about your store and decide to avoid your "customer service" and disrespectful employee (very large white woman with very long wavy brown hair). read more

I have been shopping at Ann's for quite a few years. Yes, some day's do get a little crazy - however there is someone always ready to help. I like Ann's because of the variety and I can always find my size. I have never seen a specialty store with some many styles and sizes. If your particular bra is out of stock, they will order and can have the item shipped directly to your home. Or, if you know exactly what you want and are short on time, they do have a drive by window. What an inovative idea. Wish other shops could do that. Thanks for being there! read more

Very pleased with the staff here and Everything they have to offer. My first time here was this year . I came in there very uneven and desprete for help. The ladies fixed me up for the first time ive walked in public with my arms not crossed and my hoodie off. Not only Did They fix me up but they provided me with answers and not once made me feel different. I showed just about everyone who knew i had this issue and even told people who before i tried to hide it from. Everyone now knows that if they need a fix up Or even just a new fit ann's is the way to go!!! read more

Store hours are posted until 6pm. We arrived at the store at 5:45, as we reached the front door the employee turned off the open light and locked the front door in our faces. Incredibly rude and unprofessional!! We will not be returning to Ann's. From reading previous recent reviews this is a frequent problem. read more
