I Love this place! This has been my go to for about 5 years now. I don't come here enough but always come back because its close to my house and the ladies do a good job. I like the massage chairs and that they have a good selection of nail polishes (OPI, Orli) & magazines. The place is nice and clean with good ventilation and even if someone is getting their acrylics, it doesnt bother me like it might at other places. For $23, you can get a mani/pedi; FYI there is a $1 fee for using your debit card. They will always ask if you want any other services like getting the calouses removed, which I dont have (seriously, I use a pumice bar!), extra massage or a nail design. It depends who does your nails and they can get pushy telling you that you need it but 2 no's will suffice. They also offer little neck massages while doing manicures at the regular chairs and even waxing in the back. I've gotten 2 gift certificates for family and they also like this place. read more

Great nail salon. Clean and nicely decorated. But if they have a flat screen, why don't they ever turn it on for customers??? Especially the price that is paid for services, they better be turning on the TV... They are not too kind as compared to other nails shops. I left the salon thinking if I urgently needed a pedi then I would stop here. The girl didn't understand that I wanted a chevron design on my toes. She then shows me the samples of the nail art she can do, and it looks like my 4 yo boy dragged polish on them!! Horrible. I chose just a simple dot flower. I'm really NOT impressed with this place! It was my first time here and the girl I had could not get me out fast enough. I had a pedicure in a spa chair. The first thing that sucked was that when she filed the bottom of my feet and my heels she didn't use a pumice stone or the normal file they use..she used a Nail file?! Pedicures are supposed to be relaxing but mine was not.. her version of a massage was putting lotion on my leg and rubbing it in.. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes.. Also.. After she had just finished my pedicure she rinsed out the tub without sanitizer or cleaning it..filled it back up..procedded to kick me out of the chair and then she put another person in the chair?!? Gross!! I wish I would have known this before hand..I definitely would have picked somewhere else that would have been sanitary and relaxing.. read more

I usually don't like to leave a negative review but this place sucked. The prices are inexpensive but because of the poor quality of service, the cheap prices are what attract the customers. Do not ever go here. After removing my acrylics they had applied, I found my nails had a bacterial infection from their dirty tools and lack of procedure in their nail care. They are always in a hurry and skip important steps when working on their customers. Most of the ladies are rude, catty, and pushy. Awful place and awful service. read more

I went here for a very long time. I had hit or miss service, so I started making appts with who I wanted. I still had to wait when I got there. They used clean equipment from sealed bag, but only because I asked each time. Often times, just before painting my nails, the owner would call away the person who I had the appt with so that she could start on someone else and the owner would finish painting mine. The last time I went there, a HUGE chunk was taken out of my toe and it would not stop bleeding. Again, the owner ended up finishing. Tina was the woman helpful for the initial entrance and must say of the many places I have had my nails done, Tina not only does an excellent job, but she does so with diligence and speed! I don't know why I've come here as many times as I have. Well, there have been times where they do a really good job. But the last couple times, I've gotten rude, rough, not what I want service. The last time, the lady doing my nails made me bleed because she was day dreaming while doing my nails, staring outside, and didn't even say anything until I looked at my cuticle like "Ouch that f-ing hurts!" and then she mumbled "Sorry". Whenever I deny the extras for "$5" here and there or only get the regular pedicure rather than the $45 one, the attitude toward me turns cold. I know you gotta put up with a certain amount of nonsense at these nail salons but I don't need to feel uncomfortable when I'm paying for a service. 2 stars because on occasion, I've received good service and a job well done. My boyfriend and I were waiting for his car to be serviced down the street. I decided to get my nails done since I had to buy time. He is a comfortable-in-his-skin type of guy and wanted to wait in the chairs inside of the salon instead of waiting at Starbucks. My manicurist joked and conversed with him as she did my nails. The service was friendly and they did a good job, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. Very short hand massage, although they use heated lotion which was an ice touch. Nice selection of polishes. Price was $10 for a basic manicure. I've paid more, I've paid less. read more

Stopped in for a mani pedi when my regular place was too busy. The manicure was a glorified polish change. The woman spent about 5 minutes on my nails, and did not wait long enough between coats, which caused the polish to bubble. She also didn't do any of the normal things one usually gets with a standard manicure, such as a brief hand massage. It was pretty much a 30-second filing job, a 30-second cuticle clipping, and then 3 overly thick layers of polish. The pedicure was much better, and the woman took her time (hence the two stars). Needless to say, I won't be going back there. Ever. read more

FILTHY! This place is disgusting. The towels they use are dirty, nail clippings all over the floor, and I even caught one of the girls drop a tool on the gross floor and continue to use it. Also they take breaks and eat in the same area where they are doing nails. And forget relaxing! The ladies shout at each other and when they take breaks (at one of the nail stations) they are either loudly talking on the phone or watching loud videos. The department of health/sanitation need to make a visit to this place and SHUT IT DOWN! read more

I will not be going back to Ann's nails, first I was asked to pre-pay because I came in about 45 minutes before they closed. I had asked specifically for a certain design and the woman kept assuring me, "don't worry, I do a good job for you". She rushed through doing my nails and almost the entire time she was on the phone not paying attention, I kept having to remind her what colors I wanted each nail to be, then she finished and said OK, we are done and didn't do the design I pre-paid for and expected me to just say OK??? It took her only a few more minutes to fix it plus it was her fault that she messed it up in the first place. This is by far my favorite nail place. I've been coming here for a few years. I started coming when I worked and lived closer. When I moved a little further away and got a job that was further away I tried numerous other nail places and they just don't compare, especially if you get the gel nails like I do. NO ONE has more of a color selection than this place and the glittery gels they use that come in a jar are like lacquer. The sparkle is unreal. Also the Deluxe Pedicure is a great deal $28 for pedicure, callous remover, sea salt, foot mask, cooling gel and a longer massage with the warm towels at the end. You can't beat it. I stopped in for a gel manicure. I expressed that I wanted gel & they told me to pick a color from the wall. I asked if I needed to pick from the gel colors & was told no. So I picked a color from the wall and said again that I wanted gel. The lady looked annoyed & tossed a small basket in front of me with the gel colors & instructed me to pick from those colors. I wanted something soft so I picked a nice soft shade of pink. Once she put the first coat on I could tell it was going to be a lot lighter then the sample so I asked to change the colors (she only had two nails painted at this point) she said no, she would add extra coats to make it like the sample. When she was done it was still very light, almost clear. And looked nothing like the color sample. I expressed that I wanted it to be darker & wanted to change the color. I was told I would have to pay for a color change. NOT HAPPY! So I payed even tho I was unsatisfied. By the next day 7 out of 10 of my cuticles started to peel really bad. I've never had this happen. I used to come here a lot since it was convenient and close to my house. The place got dirtier and i feel like it is old and nasty in there, and to top it all of the staff was unfriendly! My nails felt like it was being rushed And they definitely did not do a good job in doing my nails. Horrible!!!! Worst ever!!!! I have no idea why I went back to this place. First time wasn't so bad for a gel manicure for the price. Then the pedicure not bad for the price even though the girl liked to tell me I have so much skin. The second gel mani I went back to Tish but this time she answered her phone and left and went outside forever to talk on the phone. She cut the crap out of my cuticles and they hurt for a few days after. I for some reason went back for another pedi thinking it was a fluke thing. I waited 30 minutes before they put me in a chair they didn't even tell me there was a wait. Then I sat in the chair for another 30 min with the water getting cold. Then the massage chair broke so I had to move to another. After all that and me being upset the pedicure is one of the worst I've had with the girl pretty much filing my skin and I had to stop her from cutting all the skin off my toes because it was actually painful. This place should be closed down. I'm sure it's not so clean either maybe the board of health should take a look at them. Oh and not mention all the chatting between them. Don't do it!!!!! Passed by in between appointments hoping to squeeze in a mani/pedi on my lunch break but never expected both to be done in 21 minutes....and that's not a compliment. I was coldly greeted at the door by a woman who had a terrible look on her face and clearly more interested in her Ipad mini than customers. She made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. I was pointed to a chair, then moved. Once settled in neither woman who was working on me said a thing, there was no music and the salon just felt "heavy"! They did a dent job on my toes but by the end of it I was cutting my own cuticles and cleaning under my finger nails in the car. Nothing about it was welcoming except maybe the $23 price tag. I usually go to a place in Long Beach where the cost is the same but the employees are friendly and go out of their way to make the customers feel special. Having recently moved across country from Florida, I recently went to Ann's. After hit and misses with nail salons for about 6 months, I can honestly say that they are the better ones in the area. Anthony is great and does my nails to my specs. Thin and natural looking. I also like the fact that they have gel color. I do use their pedicure and wax services. Pedicures are great and I opt for the $28 one which allows for a longer massage. Reason for the 3 star and not a 4 is because I am use to having a pedicure and then sitting at the table to get my nails done. Here they do both at the same time and it takes away from my relaxing experience in their great massage chairs. Also, as an FYI if you pay with a credit or debit card they add a $1 service charge. read more

I've had 2 experiences coming here, they do good work but I must say that they have RUDE people who work there, especially a particular manicurist who sits in the last isle who wears glasses. She'll yell across the room to you. my 3rd experience; I made an appointment the day before so when i showed up and walked in the place was full of customers, instead of asking me if I needed help the rude manicurist yelled from across the room and said "WE BUSY, WE VERY BUSY, ITS AN HOUR WAIT, YOU MAKE APPOINTMENT TO COME TOMORROW", so I proceeded to tell her I did have an appointment, she then yelled something in her language to whomever and ignored me. I came here like 3 times and first experience was that they digged into my big toe too much that I litterly told her to stop, and it was bleeding and she only said "it's ok honey, sorry, I fix it" she added a blu dye to stop the bleeding and I though it was just an accident so pedicure was fine and length on all nails was ok, but over night my toes was throbbing and red, by next morning swollen and all week look infected from where she poked so much on toe that I had to be cleaning all second week with peroxide and alcohol till it got better. The second time since I was in a hurry and it's close to my house and was not crowded I thought of giving them a second chance maybe that first time was accidental, so The same lady did my nails again, they don't have many techs so it was the same tech who did my pedicure, and digged too deep again and told her ok it hurts she said it's big piece in corner of toe.."it's not good honey" I said just leave it alone bc it hurts, she said "I got it honey" so this time was no bleed but tenderness, again over night very tender and next day kind of painful when walking. by second third day was infected again, so I said that's it im not going back, but my daughter wanted to get her nails done and that was the only place close by without many ppl here I go again, so a different tech did my pedicure and I usually get gel color this time I said regular polish and just basic pedicure she offered me from her paper special calluse remover I said no just basic then they started talking to each other in Vietnamese so I knew they were talking about me for not getting gel or their supposedly special which they never really file calluses down or massage ur feet like it says for 10min. then she mentioned if Im not getting gel and to remove my previous gel it is extra charge and I said that is weird they have never charged me that before and I've been here before, she said they always charge $5.00 extra to remove gel, I said isn't part of the pedicure for u to remove the color anyways! she daid, the only way I dont get charge if I get gel because they will put gel again but if I have gel and go to regular polish is extra I said that I have never heard of it I said fine let's do the gel, and they kept talking about me. She cut one of my toe nails too short when I told her don't like them short, maybe just file down she rhen she filed down more now my tor nail was too short. I told her why so short I hate short toes nails, she thought I said.. I like them short. so one foot was with really short toe and the other one it was ok lenght. I told them I got my toe infected last two times and I didnt want them to dig too much in one area before she started the pedicure, so they didn't give me an infection but I was just so unhappy for lack of communication or language barrier that she cut one of toe nails too short. I decided that it was the last time I come to this place again, they have no manners and talk about ppl because it is noticeable as soon they offered a sale and u refused it right away they talk to each other and give a dirty look. Plus my pedicure gel was not even on all toes the top gel was not applied well enough on sides u could tell in the sun, I should have taken a picture. but be aware of this place. they just care about ur money! read more

I just had a terrible experience! They had me wait 45 minutes even though I had called ahead while they fought with other customers. My friends were both finished when they finally got to me. I was supposed to get an extra 10 minute massage but I asked them to skip that part of the package because I was running out of time. When I went to pay they still charged me $10 extra for the package I wanted. When I said I didn't want to leave a tip they started yelling at me but I said I paid $10 extra so take that as the tip since I didn't get the massage. Tips should not be expected they are if I am completely satisfied. It was disgusting that they expected me to tip even though I had told the women before she started I was frustrated it had taken so long. They yelled as I finally walked out the door paying $29 for a basic pedicure. It was incredibly rude. read more
