Since when can you see through a roti
Lisha W.

My roti is paper thin.... for $3.what kind of rip off is this ??? Looks like I got half of the roti and some else got the other half. Update! Instead of reaching out to make things right the owner decides to attack me in a message. And urges me to drink bleach. Make sure not to piss him off if you dare to buy anything! Not that you would want too because even there food has no taste..... good luck and y'all call your selves good church people. Haha

The doubles were my favorite, notice how they're not in the picture because we immediately devoured them! The goat was great, the chicken was OK. Don't forget the hot sauce!

I wish I read the reviews prior to coming here. It painfully obvious this place is a Hit or MISS. As all the reviews are 5 stars (older reviews) or 1 star (more recent reviews). It's possible the chef has changed. Unfortunately, during my first time dining it was a definite miss. The roti skin was so thick and unflavored. The oxtail was only seasoned with sugar. Smh. Very oily and little to no gravy. I've seen this place for years and never went inside. I didn't have time to go to Feroza's on Burke so I figured why not support another small business (bad idea). My stomach was upset in the middle of the night. I could not sleep. It made me question the cleanliness of the restaurant. *None of the staff had on mask. * None of the chefs had on hair nets * I witness a glove be reused So many red flags. I would advise you to go elsewhere because a visit from the health department is needed at this establishment. Although they truly deserve a 1 star they were very polite which is important in customer service so the 2 star it is. Last, Sadly, they do not practice/enforce social distancing for themselves or their customers. In a tiny space designed for 1 had 4 customers squeezed in. They said nothing as if it were normal despite the possibility of spreading a virus. #coronacentral

Food is good a bit mild for traditional Caribbean food though. The curry is good... most of the other food needs a bit more masala.

Doubles thick and savory light pepper. Fried chicken crispy outside, moist inside. I got this delivered and the meal was well packaged.

Every question I had was answered with patience, professionalism, and genuine care. She took the time to understand my vision and worked with me every step of the way to bring it to life. The team is absolutely amazing! Their attention to detail, kindness, and commitment to making our event special made all the difference. The food was outstanding, my personal favorite is the oxtail, but everything we tasted was delicious. The Rum Punch is a must-try! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how flavorful the food was and how welcoming the atmosphere felt. The restaurant has a warm, family-oriented environment that makes you feel right at home. What I also love is that Ranch Caribbean Vybez isn't just a restaurant or an event venue. They host fun events throughout the week, including Thursday night karaoke, which creates a lively, welcoming atmosphere for anyone looking for a great night out with friends and family. Whether you're planning a special celebration, stopping by for an amazing meal, or looking for a fun evening of entertainment, I highly recommend Ranch Caribbean Vybez. The warm hospitality, authentic Caribbean cuisine, and inviting family atmosphere keep us coming back. Thank you for helping make my daughter's Sweet 16 a day our family will always remember!

We ate in the brewery behind the restaurant (there's a cool service window to the back kitchen behind the bar!), and I could not possibly have expected the meal we enjoyed. As I mentioned, the catfish sandwich was lovely, soft fish encased in a light frying batter that was just deliciously spiced. The cornbread is absolutely not to be missed, it is thick and moist. The servings are generous and you will feel fulfilled at the end of your meal. My wife had the honey BBQ wings, and when you get the option, have these baked, not fried. I'm sure the fried wings are lovely, but the baked is cooked so tenderly that the meat was just falling off the bone into the sweet sauce below (which you should dip your cornbread in). Don't forget to ask for some house secret sauce for your food. I'm fairly certain you could put it on anything and it will become even more irresistible than it seems when you first smell the aromas wafting up from your dish. I have two regrets. I didn't take any pictures of my food, and I don't have a second stomach. Get yourself here as soon as you can, bring an empty stomach and an open heart. The staff is so kind and the owner is a joy of a woman that serves up her smile and kindness as much as she serves up a filling meal. I will be making sure to get back here soon so I can explore the menu more.

Is a no brainer in regards to flavor. I will say I have a basis to the locations tho. I'm a…read moreprecovid frequent dinner and take out was never really my problem thing when I frequented here because it had a certain ambiance with the service when ever I dinned in there that brought me back over and over with different people to experience. So I was so very disappointed when after Covid they continued with the only pick up service. The food quality is enough to continue yes but the vibe dining in and at the bar I truly miss. My daughters fell in love with this place because every time we walked into that dinning room there was a particular servers who KNEW US. They knew us enough to know my daughters had a favorite table (the 1st we sat at dinning there). They know us to know that my daughters had special distinction drink mocktails (one of the reasons the fell in love wit this place) that they could order even when it was no longer in the menu. This was one of those places we frequented....even if they couldn't get their special table or waiter, the quality never disappointed. During Covid we order delivery regularly because we didn't realize how much this spot because our Caribbean food must have. I can't say we ever really had tried a different meal from over favorable ones that made us say this is one thing they don't get right to us. And the rum punches and Bob Marley drinks they served during their dinning days is what got me to the pin t I had to start stopping in this joint just to have a drink and appetizers. This really used to be by spot back when they had dine in services. Over the years it's in our delivery/pickup Bronx favorite list unfortunately. I say unfortunately because now that we are back at full operational living. I har to slash the delivery/pickup weekly rituals to only situations of desperation not necessity. So this spot has only become a craving order delivery/pickup order spot. Not a I got some/gonna make some time to go enjoy a drink and some Caribbean food spot destination. Which this was my #1 default choice before Covid as I said this used to be my spot. I would take my daughters here damn there biweekly if not be there weekly myself on dates and when hanging out . Cause they people there were serious enough about customer service they would acknowledge knowing who you are and treat you as such. Hence again why my daughters loved this place as kids. *Looks right and left* a yoo when yall opening the dinning in area again cause it's been log enough now...FIX IT! lol

I remember when Fish N' Ting first opened several years ago and I'm pleased to know that this family run establishment is still kicking. I would put it in my top five list for Jamaican restaurants in the city. The menu is wide and varying and accommodating of different diets. If you love jerk chicken, you need to try it here! The jerk chicken lovers in my life can't get enough. My recommended dishes are the whiting (fried) with rice and peas, rasta pasta and now the lobster (which I didn't know they had). The seafood is made to order, fresh and super tasty. I never thought sweet chili and lobster would be a good combo but it totally rocks! It was truly delectable. My only issue is that they charge for gravy if the dish isn't saucy (as if) lol but I get it!

The place was exceptionally clean with a nice setup. As you walk in, the fully stocked steam table is to your right and there's seating as well as a bar to your left. EVERYTHING on the steam table looked absolutely amazing and FRESH. Nothing looked dried out or as if it had been sitting out all day (this was about 8pm mind you). All the options made it hard for me to truly decide what to get but i decided to keep it simple since it was my first visit. I got a medium jerk chicken meal with either calaloo or spinach rice and steamed cabbage w jerk sauce on the side. It came up to about $18. The portion size was great for the price too, i couldn't finish my plate in one sitting. The food was DELICIOUS also, everything was flavorful without being overwhelming and the jerk sauce carries the perfect amount of spice. I also had a $7 rum punch (they have another size for about $15 i believe) which was FABULOUS! It was nice and strong but still fruity, literally a perfect balance of the 2. The service was also nice, the staff is very tentative. They actually greet you upon entering and try to serve you as soon as possible. I know Jamaican restaurants usually get flack bc of the staff having "attitudes", but not here; everyone was sweet and helpful from the servers to the cashier to the bartender. They also have specials such as happy hour all night on Fridays. I'll definitely be making a trip back so i can try everything else on the menu.

Well not only was the pepper shrimp spicy but it was the best I've ever had. The shrimp was so big plumped and juicy. I didn't expect it to be nicely coated with such delicious flavor. My mouth is still watering as I write this review. I paid a little over $17, but it didn't bother me because it was fresh shrimp and veggies and of the amount of food I received was a lot. I mean they could have threw in a free small beverage to go along with it, but I wasn't mad, because this is NYC. I've paid higher prices for food that had less amounts and not even worth the price, but anyway I digress. The restaurant is quite small but big enough for you to stay and dine if you wanted. Along with great customer service, and delicious food a girl couldn't ask for anything more. Not to mention they were playing music to bop your head along with. I don't know if I would return for anything else on the menu right away because I would be hooked to buying the pepper shrimp again. When I get past that I would try something else. Overall, my meal was five stars but since I've only had one amazing item, and I don't know yet If it would be consistent , Im giving them four stars. I think they are worth visiting. It's a family-owned, halal establishment known for generous portions, and it has been a community staple for over 25 years. I heard about Carifesta on social media and wanted to check it out. My daughter and I drove from Connecticut to try the food. When we arrived, the staff told me there would be a 45-minute wait. No problem. We ordered the Guyanese Chicken with Lo Mein, Jerk Chicken Sliders, and the Guyanese Fried Chicken. The Guyanese Fried Chicken was very flavorful but overfried. The chicken had a bone, and as I ate, it fell apart, which told me it was overfried. Next, I tried the Chicken with Lo Mein, and the noodles were overcooked and lacked flavor. The chicken was good and tasted like baked chicken. It had good flavor, but it wasn't out of this world. My daughter had the Jerk Chicken Sliders, and she said they were okay. She said she tasted the Jerk flavor, but the chicken lacked flavor. I'm not sure if they were having an off day, but if I'm in the area, I would give them another tryout.
