It seems like the experience you get depends on who you are or who walks through the door. For example, some customers are offered water while others aren't, and when it comes to fixing a nail, one person might be told "come back in an hour," while someone else is told "of course, we'll take care of it." I appreciate businesses that treat all customers equally, and sadly that hasn't been my experience here. The inside decor is beautiful and the location is super convenient, which makes it even more disappointing. Unfortunately, the way the salon is run really takes away from what could otherwise be a great spot. I'll be looking for a new nail salon moving forward.

I was warm welcomed by Karl who was doing my hard gel manicure. I originally selected Daisy for my manicure (based on yelp reviews) but Karl assured me he would be just as good and I'm sooo glad I listened. He also is Daisy's husband (fun fact)! Karl did such a precise and thorough job. I wanted a coral chrome color and was between two colors so he decided to make 2 swatches to help me decide. I was very impressed by this and the time he spent to do it quickly. They have so many colors to pick from and if you love pastels, you will love their gel colors. Karl was super kind and patient! He will be my new tech for doing my nails. When I first sat down they put a stray over my pedicure chair which acted as a table. It was great because I was able to rest my arms and you could even have a laptop to work while you were getting a pedicure. Tina did my O' La La pedicure and she did a fabulous job as well. She was super kind and gentle. I hadn't gotten a pedicure in a while and she took her time to make sure they were perfect. I was offered a beverage during my service, ranging from water, sparkling water, champagne or a mimosa. If I hadn't had to work afterwards, I would have taken a mimosa lol. I was highly recommend both Karl and Tina. I absolutely love my manicure and pedicure!!! They also gave me a 10% off new member discount which was a bonus perk! I have always had a really good experience at the salon whether for gel or natural manicures, and also for pedicures. High quality service and cleanliness. Yesterday, Journey gave me one of the best gel manicures I have ever had. My hands look and feel great and as a bonus, Journey has a fascinating background and is a delight to talk with. About a month ago, Tina gave me a splendid pedicure. I really look forward to returning to each of them. Truly a treat.

On my big toe nail of my right foot she started cutting my nail so short she cut onto my nail bed that I cried in pain. It took her awhile to stop. She was cutting so short and hurt so bad I couldn't believe it. I told her to stop and not to touch me. I wonder if she even has a license. The front desk gal came over and asked if my nail was cracked. No it was just too long. She's kinda young and I don't thing she knew what to do. She processed to tell me some people are more sensitive than others!!! Excuse me. When someone is cutting into your nail bed your gonna be in pain not just sentive . I was nervous about have anyone touch me at that point but Erin came over and tried to make it look half way decent. At least she didn't hurt me . I walked into the salon and I don't know if it's because I don't fit the look of the clients here, but the owner stops talking to the client she was working on and stares me up and down and lets me just stand there looking lost because I wasn't sure where I was supposed to wait to meet with Kelsey. It's a tiny salon too so she was just staring directly up and down at me like a weirdo and doesn't say a word to me, then continues to talk to her client. I eventually peeked in the other room to see if Kelsey was there and she seemed nice and asked me to have a seat and give her few minutes. Personally I think customer service goes a long way, long enough for me to decide where I will and won't spend a few hundred dollars. The owner seems full of it so this review is mostly for others who feel customer service is important (especially when you're paying for it!). As a Latina, it's exhausting trying to find good businesses that are not pretentious and snobby in the South Bay. As it is, I already feel out of place in RPV, it's apparent the owner wants only a specific type of clientele, just read her responses on the one star reviews here. As for Kelsey, she seems sweet and the only thing that made me realize I wasn't coming back, was when she told me she would text me later that day to send me photos of ideas she had for my hair and she never did. After a week of not getting a red, I realized I just didn't get a good vibe. Mostly because when I looked back at Yelp I realized there were reviews on poor customer service and then it confirmed this bad feeling I initially had after the consultation.

That was around the time when the nail tech walked over to me for the first time to ask if I had chosen a color, not when my feet were in the water or when I was receiving the service, as I stated. She also walked away after the initial contact and returned a couple times, throwing supplies on her cart before proceeding. Regardless of that, my Zelle payment for tip was also confirmed at 6:54pm. So I do want to acknowledge that my time there was about an hour and a half total from my arrival/ appointment time. There was also not a "light residue" of the scrub left, there was literal exfoliating pieces/ beads and cream that I was able to scrape off my leg with my fingernail. There is no need to note my preferences as I will not be going back. If I had known that later appointments were known to be thrown off schedule, I would've just showed up late so I didn't have to wait. There was no update or follow up. While I understand it is the business owners responsibility to ensure all reviews are accurate, the repeated attempt to disprove what I stated was unnecessary when the issue still stands: my appointment time was not honored, i had literal pieces of scrub and gel on my leg, and someone used a cuticle cutter to PULL pieces of my toenail off without asking me. I understand these services are a luxury; I would not come in expecting to be waited on but I do expect basic communication and respect. The service and response were both disappointing.
