I love this place. My new go-to local spot that I found while I was eating lunch with husband in Redondo Beach. Carl and the whole team are so friendly and amazing . They do the perfect hard gel and they have the best jelly nail color selection. The vibe is clean and they always play great music and provide you with complimentary drinks . I absolutely LOVE Onyxx Nails! Daisy is my girl and she is AMAZING! I've had Gel-X, dip manicures, and pedicures and everything always comes out FABULOUS. Daisy is so talented, sweet, and always makes sure my nails look exactly how I want them. And honestly, the entire staff at Onyxx is wonderful! Everyone is friendly, welcoming, professional, and makes you feel taken care of from the second you walk in. Such a great atmosphere and consistently beautiful work. I recently moved to Torrance and was looking for a new nail salon which I stumbled across this lovely place! I'M SO GLAD I DID! This is such a clean, relaxing and upbeat vibe. I was warm welcomed by Karl who was doing my hard gel manicure. I originally selected Daisy for my manicure (based on yelp reviews) but Karl assured me he would be just as good and I'm sooo glad I listened. He also is Daisy's husband (fun fact)! Karl did such a precise and thorough job. I wanted a coral chrome color and was between two colors so he decided to make 2 swatches to help me decide. I was very impressed by this and the time he spent to do it quickly. They have so many colors to pick from and if you love pastels, you will love their gel colors. Karl was super kind and patient! He will be my new tech for doing my nails. When I first sat down they put a stray over my pedicure chair which acted as a table. It was great because I was able to rest my arms and you could even have a laptop to work while you were getting a pedicure. Tina did my O' La La pedicure and she did a fabulous job as well. She was super kind and gentle. I hadn't gotten a pedicure in a while and she took her time to make sure they were perfect. I was offered a beverage during my service, ranging from water, sparkling water, champagne or a mimosa. If I hadn't had to work afterwards, I would have taken a mimosa lol. I was highly recommend both Karl and Tina. I absolutely love my manicure and pedicure!!! They also gave me a 10% off new member discount which was a bonus perk! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place and I definitely will be back. :) read more

I enjoyed my mani, but had to instruct the woman doing my pedi several times. I'm use to a private salon who is very thorough. My feel felt rougher than when I arrived. I have had 2 great experiences here. I have made appointments both times. It's very clean and the service is great. They have little snacks and drinks. My regular nail polish pedicures have lasted 7 weeks without chipping. The prices are reasonable for the area. The cheapest pedicure is $40 and the next step up is $60. It was a half hour to closing and I was leaving for Hawaii in the morning but Jess said she would still take me. The salon was immaculate, the selection of nail color and design is what every girl dreams of soooo incredible. Carl, Daisy, Jesse & Tran were SO SO wonderful! Carl repaired my 12 year old's nail in a bit of a dramatic emergency! It got accidentally bent backwards & was VERY painful! He was SO gentle & removed the false nail that was the offender! I promised I'd come back, and I brought my 88 year old mom who had a cane & had fallen yesterday - he was so kind & put her in a comfy chair after her Mani b/c she had to wait for me. I tried 2 previous salons before this one and I'm happy to say I finally found my spot. Daisy was amazing and able to fix my nails that 2 previous salons essentially destroyed. She gave me a beautiful gel-x manicure and I got the color/shape I've been dying for. Price wise was super reasonable and I can't wait to go back regularly. The service was amazing the staff was very kind. Jessie ensured I knew the benefits of gel x before getting it. I've literally never been so happy with my nails like this before. They are very couture and her attention to detail was amazing. The service was quick but not rushed. She listened to what I asked for in terms of my elaborate pride rhinestone design. Total time was about an hour and 30 mins for a new set. I wanted something very specific and she delivered. They made sure I was comfortable and it's a really beautiful salon near the beach. There are restaurants nearby as well. read more

I have been going to Riviera Nails for the past few months every few weeks. I can't believe they don't have any reviews yet! I usually see Tiffany but all of the ladies in the Salon are great people and do a wonderful job. I get a manicure (french) and pedicure when I go and it's $45 total without tip. I know I could go to somewhere and get a mani/pedi for $20 but the ones at Riviera last twice as long and are infinitely better. The place is extremely sanitary and they always use all brand new sterilized tools each time. The chairs they have are new and comfortable. Nail polish is all OPI and not diluted down at all. They do a great french manicure, very natural looking. I have never had fake nails but I have seen the work they do on other people and it looks great. I usually call ahead and make an appointment but they are very honest about scheduling with walk ins. They always give a correct time estimate. I used to go to a salon near my work and "5 minutes" could mean anywhere from 1-25 minutes. The receptionist is always nice (I have met two) and offers you a drink (tea, water, wine etc.) when you sit down. They use hot towels, check the temperature of your pedicure bath and overall just always make you feel comfortable. I have also been to other places where they try to up sell you the entire time on flowers, callus removers etc and it drove me nuts. No one has every done this at Riviera which I truly appreciate. The salon is located in Riviera Village and has plenty street parking nearby. Overall, if you are looking for a new nail salon this is it! read more

Like so many others... I have struggled to find a good nail salon. Well, the struggle is over! Everyone here is friendly and helpful... not phony. The prices are crazy good! I can usually book an appointment at or close to my preferred time, and often can be accommodated as a walk in. The tools are properly sterilized (I'm a surgical nurse... I know!). They have an extensive selection of colors too! I always have Sophia do my gels because they last practically forever...no peeling from the cuticle, no chips or cracks. I usually end up coming in for a new set of gels because my nails have grown so much or I am finally tired of the color and want something new. She did a fabulous red/white/and black design for my trip to Disneyworld... they were gorgeous, they lasted over 2 weeks with no chips or peeling, and I almost cried when I had to change them because my nails had grown too much! I am driving 40 minutes ... just to get a pedicure... THEY ARE SO WORTH IT! The technicians are very friendly and do an awesome job. One of my concerns is always the salon's cleanliness... no worries there - they are super-clean! I am a nurse, and well aware of the potential risk of infection in nail salons. maybe I am a bit paranoid, but that's how I found the salon. They are listed on this web site for clean salons. It's called saloninspector.com. I had already tried a hair salon that was listed there and was extremely happy with the experience. Just moved to the area. I've search and tried a few nail places, but now I'm So happy to have found my new nails salon. Great atmosphere, great color selections, friendly & professional staff with great service. Lai (the guy technician) did a wonderful job on my pink and white full set; Kelly did my pedicure and she gave me a great massage. Not to mention, they even have new spa chairs!!!
