The selection is very limited in this store. The store is small in comparison to other sports stores, but packed to the gills in the limited space! For women, I think the store is even more limited in variety. The other disappointing thing at this store is the lack of contact with employees: I wasn't even greeted at the store when entered by the cashiers. Lastly I think the brand quality is poor, for women the shoe selection seems to consist of the cheaper shoes of a given brand. With that said, I appreciate having a sport store in town to get the basics for my sports needs.

Outstanding clothing quality that looks and feels great. Second, I love this location. The sales team - specifically Jake - is super cool and helpful. My brother and I are regular visitors and, even though we live closer to the Commerce location, we go to Simi because of Jake. I never feel like I'm being "sold" something. Instead, I feel like I have a buddy at the store just giving me great advice on fantastic products. Can you get the similar stuff at different stores or even online for a cheaper price? Sure but why would you when you have a great quality product with a super helpful sales team. What's cheap today is expensive tomorrow. Don't try to find knock off crap on Amazon. However, the real reason for my review is the store's policy of ordering online compared to in person shopping is absolutely absurd. I came into the store looking for baby formula as it says they have it available, and I can even pick it up in store if I wanted. However, when I get to the section it seems like other baby formula has spilled over and someone might have accidentally mistook the items as available inventory. Since it's behind a case, I have to call over an associate, which is an ordeal unto itself. I eventually get two different employees show up to come assist, but of course they don't have the item and it's falsely stating "available." I'm then advised by both employees that I should go upfront and order with the online shopping Walmart representative so they can grab the item from the back for me in the warehouse. So instead of one of the employees going back for me, they are essentially stating I need to order online and "Hope" the item is back there otherwise Walmart will refund me. After politely asking one of the employees, he did check in the back, but after several minutes stated they didn't have any. Luckily he did mark it OUT OF STOCK, but talk about a weird policy- ORDER ONLINE, but don't expect to pick up items in person. This is just another reason why I try to avoid Walmart stores.

I remember buying an HFC Darkhawk GBB pistol back when Army Navy had airsoft guns. I used that airsoft gun, like played every weekend and just ran it hard. I wore the slide out and casually told Dan about it, to which he said, "I can try to polish the slide burrs out and fix it." The Darkhawk worked for a good while longer, and he didn't charge much. Dan and Marcy were always a joy to talk to, they were funny and always kept it real. The selection of gear was awesome, you could find WWII to modern era stuff. I bought many nifty army surplus stuffs like a leather flap 1911 holster, Bianchi M12 flap holster, American Optic aviator sunglasses and lots of paracord in various colors. Dan helped inspire me to join the military since he is a USAF veteran. I got to experience many adventures (good, bad and indifferent) because of this, and it was worth it all. I came by the store today after work and noticed it was closed, I'll miss it lots. But I'll always remember all the great discussions and nifty gear I got here!
